Jana and Drummond Ranch are absolute con artists. They stole our money and created a fraudulent go-fund me where they stole others money as well. Their dog herding services are a scam and the ranch hands are rude and cruel to the animals. The ranch is dirty and unkempt and they offer no actual training whatsoever, just let your dog run around for 5 minutes and onto the next one. After an hour plus drive what a disappointment so do yourself a favor and save the gas money or EV charge and if you ever do consider using them make sure you pay on a cc so you can at least get your money back when they try to steal it from you.

SCAM. The animals are kept in bad conditions. They ignore you after you pay. These are just some rude, old farmers trying to make a buck.

What a scam. "Ranch" is dusty, dirty, broken down. Incredibly rude and unethical people. These are not professionals. Just some old, crusty farmers trying to make a buck as a side hustle. They'll take your prepayment for classes and refuse to honor it. Our dog got diagnosed with a neurological disorder and the doctor was very clear she could not take the classes anymore. Jana REFUSED to refund us. She ignored me for days when I tried to reach out, then finally said she was just going to "hold on" to the classes. Wtf?? Oh, and the $85 "trial" is a joke. You wait outside in the dust and cold for 3 hours and get maybe 5 min. So disappointing from supposed animal lovers.

We took our 2 year old Australian Shepherd for his birthday today! The drive from west LA was about an hour on a early Sunday morning with no traffic. Overall, we were there from 10AM-2PM. We started with the instinct test that took more than 15 minutes, so don't let the reviews and website fool you out of it! The owner, Janna, is working on getting it fixed but I recommend calling them to ask any questions you may have prior as she will answer any and all questions about this training. Janna loves her job and you can definitely tell when she's in the arena with the dogs. She made the experience seamless and it was incredible to see my Aussie naturally work with the sheep. You'll be able to see other dogs train while waiting for your turn. We had two lessons in one day (including the instinct test). It was a wonderful experience!

We took our border collie to his instinct test and he loved it. We met Paul and he told us what our dog needed to improve on. They ran out of the instinct test forms so we are still waiting for it to come via email. Paul told us that there were certain rules we had to follow. Our dog had to be on a leash at all times and if he got too close and decided to attack Paul, that he would not hesitate to kick our dog. He was being super serious about it. Our dog, luckily, is friendly so he only sniffed around. The workers take their jobs really seriously around this ranch and emphasis that the ranch is not a dog park and we need to be careful not to have our dog socializing with another dog. We will definitely take our dog back for classes as he enjoyed it a lot. The ranch is off a dirt beaten path.

If you have a herding breed (even if it's a mixed breed) bring them here! We have a dog that is 50/50 herding and she did great! And, she had the best time ever. A really great opportunity to be able to tap into your dogs natural instincts. The people at the ranch are amazing and you will learn so much about your dog. Sugar Magnolia gave this place 5 stars!

Roo lett'n her instincts do the walkin!

I took my 5 1/2 month cattle dog cross to be instinct tested last week and guess what...she failed! lol of course she did she's a baby! BUT she had a great time 2 , 5-ish minute runs. This is normal and necessary as it is new, intellect and energy intensive activity and I appreciate that the trainers are sensitive to the idea of quit while they still want to work and very attuned to the level of sensitivity of the individual personalties of the dogs. my puppy is keen to work, but gets butt hurt if you come down on her to harshly. My puppy passed her instinct test on the second week and will begin lessons next week. The operations can be a little chaotic, but was not any type of hindrance to our experience so far.

My dog and I have been coming to Drummond for the past few months for herding lessons. It has been so fun to learn about the sport and meet other people with herding dogs as well! Janna is such a lovely and compassionate trainer, who cares deeply about each and every dog having a good experience. Anyone planning to go to Drummond should understand they are going to a real working ranch, not a Petco training class. Sometimes there are cancellations due to weather, sometimes the ranch is running behind because their sheep need some special attention. Schedules can be unpredictable when you're dealing with animals. If you're passionate about herding, you learn to just go with the flow - enjoy the mountain views and have fun watching the dogs be dogs. I highly recommend Drummond to anyone who wants to learn more about herding, but patience and a good attitude are definitely a must.

My dog Mav had a blast! The owner, Paul, is fabulous! Paul pulled in one of his dogs with Mav (to show him the ropes) and it was neat to watch them both in action. We can't wait to come back again. Before you come, go to their website so that you know what to expect as far as how much time they will get to spend with the sheep. Side Note: My original review did discuss the bad review that was posted. I was standing right by the ring when the situation occurred (Paul had to leave my lesson to deal with the situation). However, the individual that made the comment is aggressively attempting to attack my post (which I deleted those comments). I think that speaks for itself. I was simply a bystander with no ties to either party and commenting on what I saw.

The program focused on comprehensive obedience, off-leash reliability, recall, and behavioral modification, all through individualized and consistent training tailored to Ringo's specific needs. Juan and the entire team are amazing--compassionate, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They took the time to understand Ringo and worked patiently to help him build confidence, improve behavior, and develop reliable obedience skills. It was clear throughout the process that they care deeply about every dog they work with. What stands out most is the level of professionalism combined with the love and attention they give each dog. I felt completely comfortable trusting them with Ringo, and the communication throughout the program was excellent. Even after training, I continue to bring Ringo there for daycare and boarding, which says everything about the confidence I have in their team and facility. Ringo is always happy to go, and I know he is safe, well cared for, and in great hands. If you are looking for a team that delivers real results while treating your dog like family, The DOGGO USA is the place to go. Our experience with The DOGGO USA has and continues to make a lasting difference in Ringo's life. We are grateful for everything they have done for him. Highly recommend The DOGGO USA to anyone seeking training, daycare, or boarding services.

We did the follow up course two weeks later to assess how the dogs were doing and correct any commands we were doing incorrectly. it was extremely helpful and I recommend it. The important thing to know is that you must reinforce the training at home. The dogs are still so much better behaved and walking them is still so much more enjoyable. Still happy with the training.

Like any parent and dog owner, we were heartbroken and overwhelmed, not knowing how to move forward safely. After reading so many incredible reviews about Brian across different forums, we decided to reach out--and I'm so grateful we did. Brian helped us understand Hudson (our dog) on a completely different level. He took the time to explain the fears and anxiety driving Hudson's behavior and gave us practical tools to help him feel more secure and confident. Instead of just addressing the behavior itself, Brian helped us see what Hudson was experiencing and how to support him in a way that actually works. Over time, we've seen such meaningful progress. Most importantly, I now feel so much more comfortable and confident with my daughter interacting with Hudson. That peace of mind is something I truly can't put into words. If you're dealing with a challenging or scary situation with your dog, I can't recommend Brian highly enough. His knowledge, patience, and ability to help both dogs and owners understand each other is truly remarkable. We're incredibly grateful we found him.

He is deeply knowledgeable, his approach is thoughtful, and he truly speaks dog. Brian has worked with an incredible range of dogs and behavior challenges, and it shows. No matter the question or concern, he always had clear, grounded guidance that made sense and actually helped. Brian came highly recommended by our trusted vet, and finding him changed everything for our family. When our Miko turned 8 months old last summer, she suddenly began attacking her brother Rufus with no provocation (no food, toys, or attention) and developed territorial behaviors at home. Up until that point, they were best friends, with Rufus patiently playing with her and teaching her dog manners. It was terrifying and heartbreaking, and at our lowest point, we even had to confront the possibility of re-homing Miko after losing our other dog, Luna, suddenly during her spay surgery last year. Since then, my husband and I have been training and exercising them religiously, spending 3-5 hours a day between the two of us, and Brian was there every step of the way. He was endlessly encouraging and validating, especially on the hard days, helping us stay grounded and hopeful when things felt overwhelming. What truly sets Brian apart is how much he genuinely cares and his extensive experience with dog training. He has always been incredibly generous with his time, offering phone consultations during training and even long after sessions ended. You never feel rushed, judged, or dismissed, just fully supported. We're beyond grateful to say that Miko has now reached 6 months with zero aggression, and the two of my dogs play together again both inside and outside of our home. If you're struggling, losing hope, or just want someone who truly understands dogs in your corner, Brian is the real deal.
