Two of my refurbished bayan pots DrTom finish off by putting drum heads on them for me

DrumDrTom is an incredible craftsman. I bought a bunch of used and unplayable tabla drums with the intention of banging out the dents on the metal drums and reheading anything that needed new heads. I quickly found out that at age 74, I am no longer strong or agile enough to pull the strap tight enough to accomplish the reheading part. I have sent about 7 or 8 of my drums to the good DrTom and without delay he has provided the services I can not accomplish, communicated effectively, charged very reasonable prices and promptly shipped my drums back. I am very happy with the results on each drum and plan to continue refurbishing the valuable old drums I can find with his help. I give DrumDrTom my highest recommendation

Tom and my 5 year old.

Tom is fantastic. Had an old Sageman djembe whose skin was in need of replacement. My family was headed up to Santa Cruz from San Diego for a vacation, and we brought the drum with us hoping to drop it off to Sageman for a repair. When we realized that Sageman was no longer operating out of Santa Cruz, we looked for Plan B. Thankfully Uncle Google told us that Drum Dr. was a slight detour from our route home in Watsonville. We dropped off the djembe in person and got to meet Tom. He quoted us a fair price for the skin replacement (inc luding tuning) and shipping back to San Diego. He showed us some of his current work, and the 30 minutes we spent with him convinced us the djembe was in good hands. He gave us a two to three week turnaround window including shipping, and with the drum arriving today, he was spot on with his estimate. Could not be more pleased with the entire transaction. Thank you Tom.

I'm thrilled with the job Dr. Tom did replacing the old, ripped head on my Bodhrain. Great workmanship, great result.

Dr Tom took on my pretty challenging conga skin installation, and did an excellent job at a very reasonable price.

But I bought a couple of accessories anyways because she made the experience pleasant. Would definitely go back with any music related needs.

The range I saw was from sale items at 49.99 up to 200+, they have a good, moderate amount of choices at each level, with different brands and accompanying acessories! My ukelele is a soprano, a great beginner ukelele I was practicing with, got it for $75 with tax and a carrying bag included in my purchase, if I remember correctly, tag price was $69.99 I did ask if there was something similar to a brand/type of ukelele I started my practice with but I was then getting sold onto the more expensive pieces that I didn't have experience with and didn't ask for so that was a miss for me. Wish I got more of a relevant recommendation but the workers were sweet, they let us browse by ourselves for a good amount of time before stepping in (which good for me because I needed time to think, compare, and browse). When we went, there were a handful of other customers inside the store, it's located in a small shopping center but the store is bigger inside than it appears on the outside. The parking situation was just okay, not bad, could use a tad bit more space, we went ~1p the parking lot was full minus 2-3 spots but I noticed cars came and went from the time we got there until we left so it seems like there's a couple spots free at any given time due to the traffic coming in and out for small errands. Lots of instruments and accessories to be found inside and the workers seem to be happy to help find what is needed! Pretty well organized inside to find what you need on your own though, I was able to find the ukeleles quickly.
