Music World is one of the largest music stores and, I believe, THE largest piano retailer in the…read morecity. Their pianos are lovely, they don't mind if you test them out (which I do, gladly), and their staff is friendly and helpful. They offer in store or at home piano and vocal lessons, and have a large selection of sheet music including a digital music-on-demand service. They've been operating here since 1962, so they obviously know what they're doing. If you're a pianist or vocalist, this place is awesome.

Ok, where do I start?…read more So I am up in Vegas for a movie premier.. ( I also have a house there that I like to visit and make sure it hasn't been pillaged, so two birds.. one stone) And I see this guitar online, and it looks pretty cool.... its a Yamaha... yeah, I know what your saying, I never pictured myself in like 100 millennium ever EVER buying a Yamaha guitar... So I drag my happy ass on down to guitar center, and make my way through what seems to be like 258 teenagers until I get to the guitar desk, and say.. "hey, you gotta RGX A2 in stock?" The fat kid behind the counter stares at me with his bad skin and says.... "ummmmmmmmm yeah.." and waddles off somewhere to find it.. he emerges from the back of the store a few minutes later with this interesting looking guitar... **(kinda looks like an Ipod fucked and Xbox 360 and had a fucked up flipper baby, but thats cool, cause | jerk off to fucked up flipper babies.) **-partially stolen from a rant by MC Chris... I grab the guitar from him and notice the weight first.. its 5.5 lbs.. wow.. that is considerably lighter than any of my various guitars. so I plug the bastard in... and it ROcKS!!! like seriously.. sounds great... the price.. 499- not a big deal... so I thank the kid, put down the guitar and leave the store.. (I have a thing about buying instruments that like 408 people have touched before me..) that nite the movie premier was dope! I walked down the red carpet, got my photo taken, got interviewed, and chilled out.. that nite lying in bed.. there I was thinking of that guitar.. I MUST OWN IT!! The next morning I call the small family music store I typically buy things from, none in stock, at LEAST 10 days to get one in.. well me being a man that is ALL about the instant gratification I call around the shops in Vegas..and I find this shop... "Music world" in the phone book.. I have a soft spot in my heart for family owned business, heck my family owns a business, and I would much RATHER give my money to them, than some faceless corporate shithouse.. the man on the phone "Matt" was pleasant, hey said that they did indeed have one in stock.. I said thanks, hung up and went straight there... now. in the place.. its not really a guitar store.. more of a piano place.. so I go in, and there it is.. hanging on the wall... I pull it down, introduce myself.. wow, he remembered me from the phone! I asked to plug the gutar in, and he let me plug it into this crappy little practice amp he had on there, there wasn't much of a response from the amp... and then... here is the kicker.. he says to me "Oh, that must be a bad cord or amp" .................................................................... ........................................................ .............................................. ................................... Fine... I believe the little guy... SOLD! I say, and walk out of the store, he even threw in a free case with the guitar!!! very nice.... the last day I spent playing the guitar.. * I dont have any amps in my vegas house.. so this morning I left vegas early to get home, to plug into my live rig, and let her RIP!!! .................................................. Processor on, amp ON, Footswitches ON!!! ............. ........... no sound.... hmmmm check the cables, cables are good, plug in another guitar.. works fine.. ................ That fucker... he knew the guitar didn't work, and here I am 400 miles away.. So I call him on the phone.. "Oh really? wow, I had no idea..." sure dick.. So I am sending the guitar back to him tomorrow to be delivered in person by a friend of mine.. with the orders to refund my money ASAP!~~~ what is my review? That is bad bad bad bad... bad business dealings.. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND that ANYONE buy a guitar there..

We had several discussions including when I took my instrument in to have the work done and how the pickup was gonna make it sound so much better per 6 gun music.\n And what all they were going to do, including a set up pick up installation and Putting a radius in my bridge saddles I called them a little over a week later , which they told me they hadn't started work on my instrument yet , and they called me two days later to tell me it was finished Upon arrival, I noticed that my bridge saddles had a slight radius, and my pick guard was on, but no pickup installation had been performed The lady sitting at the front counter, took my instruments out of my hands and told me they would fix it.I said that's included still in the hundred and forty , some dollar price correct??? They proceeded to tell me they would need an extra one hundred and nine dollars to finish the pickup install I then told them just to give me my pickup , and I would decide if I still wanted to have them do the installation I feel this tactic was your basic bait, and switch, and I ended up paying a $165 for having a pick guard put on which I could have done myself if I wanted to keep my original pickup and a slight radius in the bridge saddles, I know my intonation was on because I had had my base set up with a basic setup, as I explained to them a few weeks before deciding to have them do more work. They tried to sew me one of their replacement necks. They have their, and then after I told them, I hadn't decided on what kind of neck I would replace on my instrument, they gave me the price quote and I asked them if all work including pickup installation would be performed at that price and they said yes, And then after they made a mistake of not installing my pickup , they wanted another hundred nine dollars to do that when I know your basic pickup install around here after calling several places that do this kind of repair is around sixty five dollars , average price I really wanted to get involved in the music scene here because I've been playing for over 30 years, including tours and opening for national acts, but\nIf this is the way businesses run here in las vegas then no thanks

What a delightful and informative experience I had looking for a piano at Southern Nevada Music…read more Denise showed me a variety of pianos, explained the advantages of each and the wonderful player options that were available. I came into the store on numerous occasions and each time I was greeted with a warm, friendly smile and Denise answered all of my questions. I discovered how different each of the pianos sound, and which tonal quality that I was attracted to. Although the brand was the same they sounded completely different. The showroom has a wide selection of pianos in all price ranges. You can try just one of the pianos or try them all to find the one that is perfect for you. And if you can't play the piano, they will play them for you. So you can find the instrument that speaks to your soul. I purchased an upright many years ago after I was first married, then later purchased a wonderful player piano for the office that has provided many years of lobby entertainment to our clients. Now I am looking to add a new player. The selection of music that is available is amazing, there is something for everyone, jazz, classical, pop, Christmas tunes, theme songs from video games, the list is endless. Although I have yet to make a decision on my next piano, I know that Denise will be there to answer all of my questions and help me to make the perfect choice for me. I cannot recommend Denise and Southern Nevada Music highly enough for all of your music needs.
