Driversed.com is run by pure garbage humans. They don't answer their phones. Don't respond to emails in a timely manner. When they do respond weeks later they say that it's too late for a refund since so much time has past, yeah since you can't reach a real person within the refund period. They also told me they paid the court my fee and the court says they never received it. Just a garbage enterprise please take your business elsewhere. read more

I signed my son up for DriversEd.com about 2 weeks ago because it seemed to be an easy way for my overly active and busy teenager to get his permit done on his own schedule. He flew through the lesson plans and did really well on all his testings. He is finally at 99% done and all he has to do is take his final test - and then he'll get his certificate in the mail so we can go to the DMV. The problem is - the stupid flash player is stuck on loading the Audio portion of the test and I'm very frustrated because the site CLAIMS to have 24 hour support, but they do not. I attempted to reach someone via their live chat - and it says no one is available. I then attempted to call their 24x7 support hotline and I get a recording telling me I am next in line and to be patient - followed by a message telling me they are experiencing a high volume of calls and to leave a message. I tried this several times all day today and the same thing happened. They are misleading and when you need the support, they are not there to give it. I really thought we had found a great program and we were more than happy to share the site with our friends who have teens themselves but now I'm not so sure I want to share this site with anyone except to tell them that if you sign up for DriversEd.com and hit a problem with the program, don't expect to get any help. So, basically, I've paid the money - my son has put in all the time needed to get his certificate .. he just needs to take the final test and now we can't because their program has a bug and they aren't around to help us fix it. $99 down the drain. I'm beyond pissed and if I can't reach someone tomorrow, I'm contacting the BBB and reporting them for fraud. read more

The online traffic school course is very informative and helpful. It made me rethink how I typically drive and helped me better understand the significance behind safe and defensive driving. I highly recommend taking it online, you can complete the course at your own pace on your own time as long as it is done before the due date. There are no worries about potentially bad instructors and you can reread the information and/or retake the short quizzes as many times as necessary. read more

I love having this option of online driving school. I remember taking this option a couple years ago and I love the upgrade countdown option. You practically save me from: 1 - finding someone to cover me to work to go to drivers school 2 - wasting gas going to the location 3 - 8 hours straight 4 - Going to an actual traffic school, get a certificate and then drive to the courthouse to show them verification which in turn wastes more gas money and time. Im a multi-task person and this is so convenient since I broke it down to 1-2 hours a day while watching TV. THANK YOU! The only part I wish is that the countdown option had like some kind of audio "ding" to let us know that the proceed button is highlighted. read more

Excellent Service ! I recently just finished the DriversEd.com course and I was amazed as to what I learned about rules of the road. I took the course to get my permit and I was told that it would take 10-14 business days to receive my certificate. However , it only took 5 days !!! I recommend this company to anyone who needs to get their certificate for their permit. P.S. Sometimes they have online specials read more

Great drivers ed course! It was convenient, straight forward and easy to follow. Also the unlimited practice exams were super helpful to prepare me for the test! Would recommend others to take a course! read more

My daughter signed up for the online course so that she could meet the requirements to obtain a lisc. They signed her up for a roadside subscription and then made it very difficult to cancel. She was not aware of the subscription until they had charged her significantly. Obnoxious. read more

My two-star review regards the driving instruction. We had some concerns about my daughter's first driving instructor and are not planning to use this company again with my son. Three issues: 1) my daughter's instructor seem kind of annoyed that she had never been behind the wheel. I reminded her that it is ILLEGAL for her to drive with parents before she has her professional lessons and the teacher said that most kids have been driving for 3-4 months before they take a lesson. Not only do I find this hard to believe, I was really taken aback that she was clearly suggesting we had done something wrong by behaving lawfully. 2) She gave my daughter patently wrong information about driving (where to stop at a stop light/sign relative to the white line on the road), that was not only annoying it was dangerous. My daughter and I argued about this for weeks until I looked it up in the CA driving manual and showed her that her teacher was flat out WRONG. She is a driving instructor! Shouldn't she know the official driving rules? 3) The teacher was high strung. Not a good trait to have in a driving teacher. My daughter came back from her two lessons stressed and frazzled. We switched to a new instructor after 2 lessons. He was better and perhaps the problem was just this instructor, not driversed.com. But there are other options out there, so we are going to go with another company for my son's lessons. read more

Do Not deal with these people. customer service is horrible. My daughter took the online course and thinking she can print the certificate after the test, she waited just like any teenager until the last minute. Once completed the test we were surprised that the certificate will be available "Within" 24 hours. we were not worried at the time since her appointment was a day later. 30 hours after we checked...nothing, 35 hours...nothing. called customer service, some where in Philippians, She told us it would be another 24 hrs. told her that's not acceptable and i need to speak to her supervisor, she puts me on hold and 10 minutes later i get transferred to voice mail...left a message to please call. I called back, different person...read the same exact scrip, told her I NEED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR PLEASE!! she puts me on hold and got voice mail again!!! Yelp wouldn't let me give them less than 1 star. if your DMV requires the certificate, please make sure you complete the course and test weeks prior to your Driving Test. read more

We got the package that was supposed to include driving on freeways and challenging scenarios, but my wife was never taken on the freeways. All they did, it seemed like was practice parking and drive around. Not what we were expecting. Seems like a waste of $600+ read more

We faxed this form off to get our Son's certificate for completing his online course. We wanted to change shipping to expedite it but there was no explanation or choice to do it! We waited over 9 business days. Still no certificate! Their form is poorly written, so there was a line that had to have name printed in above where is shows for parents signature. It can be easley missed. After several attempts of trying to reach them we finally made contact with someone from another country, India!! Who we could hardly understand. You would think with several of our contact info that we provided, that someone would reach out to us. But that never happened! So almost two & half weeks later. We our finally getting our sons cirtifcate! I don't recommend this company to anyone!! I will pay $10.00 more for our twin daughters online course when she is going to get her online test! Remember you get what you pay for!! read more

If a company is going to charge me $50.00 for a failure to cancel a lesson within 48 hours, then they should give instructions on their website on how to cancel or change said lesson. Apparently, the in-car driving customer service can only receive phone calls, no email. However, their phone number isn't available on the website, you can only get it by calling their one main number....which no one seems to answer. I eventually got the correct number by contacting their chat line. Even though we contacted them well before the 48 hour restriction (sent emails to main info email address - so they could have checked), they acted as if they were doing us a favor waiving the penalty fee. Super unprofessional website. Would have given it one star, but my daughter's instructor was really nice. In CA, the number to change or cancel in-car lessons is as follows: 855-801-5772. read more

Tony Yan was my driving instructor for my first ever lesson and he was very patient and understanding with me. Although I made mistakes while driving he was very calm and handled the situations professionally. He taught me many essential driving tips and I felt like I was learning quickly and understood what I needed improvements on. Very thankful for the great learning opportunity, and recommend Tony Yan as your instructor. read more

An instructor at this school made me cry, and I am not a crier. The only reason I'm giving them two stars instead of one is because when I called the office, they offered to give me an additional three lessons for the price of the two I had already paid for because of my bad experience. I had one lesson with Priscilla that went okay, except that the entire time she was saying things like "you can't even steer," "you seem really nervous" (which psyched me out and made me even more nervous), and "we're going to get pulled over, you drive like you're drunk." This was a running commentary the whole time I was driving which just gave the lesson a negative energy. Did I mention this was my first driving lesson? Anyway, today Priscilla came over to my house to give me the second lesson. When I got into the car, she immediately began berating me for not practicing between lessons, which probably took up ten minutes of the two hours I had paid for. Then she got angry that I tossed my purse in the back seat instead of gently placing it there. When she told me to find the horn and I gently beeped it instead of just touching it, she started yelling at me to get out of "her" car, and immediately called the school. I literally begged her to let me take the lesson by saying I would be nicer, that I had already paid for it, that I needed the lesson etc. This didn't work. Let me say this: the ONLY reason I'm taking driving lessons is because I MAY need to move to a small town soon that doesn't have the kind of public transportation network we have in the Bay Area. To everyone planning to stay in the Bay Area who doesn't have a driver's license, unless you're really way out in the burbs, just take advantage of the bus and train network and don't bother with this or any other driving school. It's a lot better for the earth and won't add to our traffic congestion problem. You're welcome. read more

The company is totally mismanaged. They sent an instructor 3 hours before the scheduled time. Their dispatcher, who goes by the name of Victor, is a total incompetent. However, it gets even worse, because they pad the charges claiming the services which have never been rendered. read more

Certificate is snail mail, you can not print your certificate online. The website claims you have the option reality is they do not offer the service except in Tx.. Also they want you to have a paper notarized that you completed the online course. The notarized paper does not contain the right notary verbage so a notary will not notarize it. Online course should be convenient DriversEd.Com is far from convenient. They make it very difficult to get your certificate in a timely manner. read more

Just to begin this supposed company i went thru has an address in Mountain View...Not Oakland. Ok where to start...from the beginning i guess? So in 2009 i got a ticket for turning left during a "no turn" time period of the day..yup I am an idiot and i didn't want to drive 3 miles out of the way..so i got to pay a nice fat ticket! Anywho i paid my financial dues and decided i should go to traffic school since i wanted my squeeky clean driving record to stay that way! I enrolled in the online traffic school since this was the ONLY available option..i thought....umm...lame..but ok ill do this online. So i proceeded with the course, paid yet again, took the final test...the website said...we are now furnishing this information to the DMV! Horrah! My squeeky clean record is safe!! OR so i thought! Ha! While renewing my auto insurance policy this year i noticed my rates had gone up considerably...when inquiring as to why..the operator told me about the point being on my record..hmmm. So after making several attempts to contact the company by email and phone calls..all they can tell me is..NO YOU DID NOT COMPLETE YOUR FINAL TEST...I said...yes i did..i paid..i finished the test..and the website said all the proper info would be furnished to the DMV...they then asked me..."can you prove it?" why yes i can i said! I ran upstairs to my filing cabinet and saw the only shred of evidence i had was a receipt to pay for the course...lame soooo approximatley $300 later (ticket, course, and my valuable f******g time) i still have a point on my record, and this asshole of a company gets to rip off more and more people! My advice! Save and print Everything! I mistakenly thought the receipt and the word of the company would be sufficient...I am a recycling fanatic so printing and saving all this paper seems so f*****g archaic and wasteful...but then again so does paying an additional $400 for my insurance premium! read more

Tony was great! He really helped my daughter prepare for her upcoming driving test. She said he was calm and went through a lot of material in the two hours he had with her. He even had toy cars he used to better explain certain scenarios. She is a visual person so she said that helped clarify some questions she had. I would highly recommend Tony without any hesitation! read more

My son passed the online course. I had paid the extra $ so he could earn the 0.5 credits for high school. The transcript for the HS credit is sent via a school based in Atlanta, GA. My son passed the test in June. By August, his transcript had not been sent. Customer service (see other reviews about that, esp. phone system) said they'd have another transcript sent to home and school addresses. They were unable to rush the delivery in spite of failing to send it correctly in the first place (in June). Now it's nearing mid-September, and the transcript has not been sent. Here's where it gets unfathomably crappy: I called 2 days ago and spoke to "Pauli?" who was unable to do anything but "leave a request" for the school in Atlanta to send the transcript. What? Then "Pauli?" told me I have to call the school in Atlanta myself to request the transcript because "Pauli?" couldn't authorize it. How would they be able to authorize it in the first place and not now? So I contact the school yesterday... interestingly similar bad phone system leads me to a voice mailbox! I still haven't heard back from the school or driversed.com. It's $50 extra for the credit/transcript that they cannot seem to deliver as promised. Frustrating and indicative of deeper issues with the business. I don't trust them. read more

Stay away from this company. My daughter signed up for the online course and they charged her double the amount. I called to find out why. "Roger" said that he could not find her account. I gave him her name, email address and the reference id from the email that confirmed the payment. I asked for a supervisor and I was told one is not available. What a joke of a company. read more

Had a good lesson with Tony Yan. He's really thorough and it was great driving with him.

This website is horrible. I have been waiting so my son can do his drug and alcohol course, I made his security questions for him to help get him along he answered one wrong and got locked out, ok our fault I get that but day 3 now and can't get ahold of anyone to unlock it via, text, email, calling nothing at all. I can't get a refund so I can go elsewhere either. Great pricing, however. The only reason I put two stars is because it was easy to set up and the price, but without being able to finish this any time soon we are very upset. read more

Terrible phone system. You need to push many buttons before you get to speak with someone. Cancelled our sons 3 lessons paid in advance. 4 days later still no refund though they say it was done on Monday. Scheduling was 3 weeks away from him receiving his permit so we decided to go with another company. Very pleased with our decision on switching company. read more

I found driversed.com to help me with my behind the wheel driving- Kind of wish i didn't. First of all I am a complete beginner, My instructor, criticized my driving the whole time I was in the car, stating that I am going to fail, "driving isn't for everyone" then asking me if I've ever been in a car accident because I drive like a victim. thank you so very much, you have really put the confidence in me! On the day of my test, My instructor was 40 minutes late to pick me up! (we were supposed to drive for an hour and she was meant give me a mock test before I got to the DMV) My appointment was at 11 and she arrives to pick me up at 10:40 with not one apology. I do fine on my test in fact I would have passed! IF only my instructor taught me how to parallel park which she claimed is never on the test. WELL it was, and if you cant do that that's an automatic fail. I called after my test to ask for a partial refund and they were completely unsympathetic. In my opinion driversed.com couldn't care less if their students pass or fail as long as they get paid. I would not recommend this driving school to my worst enemy. read more

I was able to get my license thanks to DriversEd! They have good instructors who know what they're doing so it's completely safe. A big bonus is learning how to drive with a mini cooper, since it's easier to control than other driving school cars. What I found most helpful was the option to use their car to test - THIS IS MOST USEFUL to those who have no other way of practicing or testing (which applied to me). Plus it wasn't too pricey. Strongly recommended!!! read more

It was a very good course and I had no problems with computer lag or time ours. I liked the free State Driving Record.

Well, I definitely like the idea of getting my Traffic School completed online. I appreciate having both the FLASH and the HTML versions of the school available, because while taking the course, I had to switch to HTML because the flash version froze on me. My main confusion was that when I started this session, I learned I needed to create a new user ID. I had a previous user ID from years ago that I apparently can no longer use...so I found that to be very confusing, and I needed to use the Chat feature to learn about that. The chat function worked flawlessly. I recommend that if you have any problems, do not hesitate to use the Chat feature. All in all, my experience was great. Thanks! read more

First advice, DON"T GET A SPEEDING TICKET! If you do, DON'T take this online defensive driving class!!!!! This is the WORST defensive driving course EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! This is false advertisement because it definitely takes MUCH longer than 6 hours to complete! It is ridiculously STUPID how everything is broken down to less than 1 minute slides (most under 30 seconds)!!! Why would you break the information up so much? It does not take that long to read the text! As for the quiz question for the videos, it was as if they were designed to make you fail! Why would you ask some of the most obscure questions?!! It doesn't make sense to only ask ONE INSIGNIFICANT question and then require you to REWATCH the video if you got it wrong! It is also EXTREMELY frustrating that the identification questions are unclear! Why in the world would you ask for FULL FIRST NAME if you wanted the MIDDLE name also?!!!! I REGRET signing up for this online course and WILL NEVER use this site again!!!! I hope you do not waste your time with this site! This was HORRIBLY designed to waste MORE of my time than NECESSARY! read more

Cil is the best teacher in the Alameda/Oakland area. I was worried that my 16 y/o son was not focused enough to safely learn to drive, but Cil drilled in all the safety first. This is the worst driving school I can possibly imagine. My son attended his first driving lesson with this school. The instructed frequently berated and yelled at my son.
