It's a considerable amount of money. 1. Why on earth does a refund take 30 days!!?? 2. Why can they not communicate? Oh, I know, they don't want to provide a refund. The course was fine, but there was a shady charge for $5/month that I didn't notice until a year and a half later. It isn't clearly and explicitly stated that you will be charged $5/month. Based on the responses to the other reviews on this course, there's an option to opt-out during checkout. However, I certainly didn't knowingly sign up for a monthly fee, and inferred that the only charge would be that of the course itself, as opposed to the "Allstate Roadside Assistance". If I were able to fix this issue from reoccurring, I would change it so that the option to pay for Allstate Roadside Assistance is unchecked on default. Despite the supposed "good intentions" of those who developed the course, it's undoubtedly a scummy charge that isn't clear to the customer. DriversED offers an online way for traffic school. way better than sitting for 8 hours in a classroom. materials are mostly print. a few videos. material is repetitious. best part of online course: u can take breaks, can log back in anytime. final exam has many questions on obscure stats -open book, so u can google for answers (not always successful) live chat option, didn't use it. -stats not driving related, related to consequences of bad driving cost: 24.95 (vs. $45 at physical location i called) -first 20% of course free, so one can get a feel of teaching methodology -most course materials not involved in test 3.5 stars, final test difficulty leaves it at 3 -took over 8 hours to finish course, 2+ hours for the final. read more

My son completed this course and requested his certificate as required by our state. This company has not sent our required certificate in over 2 months. We have called multiple times and are routed to an overseas call center, where we are unable to get useful help of any kind. If your child wants to be able to get their license, use ANY OTHER OPTION than this one. When I finally spoke to a local agent, she said, "we use USPS for delivery, which is an *unreliable* delivery service." My daughter has had two driving lessons with two different, but equally great instructors. We live in Mill Valley, CA. MY daughter is getting her permit and had never driven before. The first instructor, Laura, was calm and so patient and spent time with me as well before taking my daughter out driving. The second instructor, Dennis Sabino, was wonderful and arrived with a different vehicle for her to drive, which was great. She has her final lesson later this week. I can say, with confidence, that DriversEd.com takes their job seriously and is great with instruction and driving tips as well as putting nervous first time driver's minds at ease. I should have read the reviews here before I enrolled a course. The app is very buggy. It won't continue after every video's play. The question set up for the video does not make sense at all. It asks the details which are not educating anything. And you have only 1 chance. If failed, you have to watch the 10min or 20min video again. read more

Our experience started well. The instruct was super cool with my daughter, knowledgeable and even accommodating when my daughter had to reschedule. My daughter got sick with a fever the day she was supposed to do her final behind the wheel lesson. Somehow, someone picked up the phone and was quick to charge me $50 for cancellation fee. Which I understand since we cancelled the morning of. HOWEVER, five weeks later and we still haven't been able to get a hold of anyone to reschedule. My daughter called daily during business hour. She always received the "please call back during business hours" voice message. No option to leave a call back number of voicemail. I reached out to them through there "contact us" email...to no avail. I would NOT recommend them. Hope someone from DriversEd.com is actually reading this and will reach out to us. We are paying $400 for our teenager to be yelled at? Ridiculous, this guy needs to have better bedside manners, as it freaked out and traumatized our student driver. Had we known this was the type of service driversed.com would deliver, some unprofessional douche, we would've made sure he found other reliable companies out there. Customers you guys have been warned, it is not OK to yell at student drivers, especially to someone who is not tough and such a polite young man. Mohammad-Wassim Yassine should not be an instructor, he needs to find a better job that he would be good at, maybe a ring announcer. *Update* I was contacted by Mai Slothower of Driversed.com. According to her and her manager, they would like to offer my nephew a free lesson. First of all, we would never want to do business with this company again, and second of all my nephew already completed his not-so great experience with driversed.com/Wassim Yassine. So no a free lesson isn't what we need. I requested a partial refund of the $400 spent on this company, instruct them to enroll Wassim Yassine in some sort of communications/sensitivity seminar and a written apology. This place started out great, albeit pricey, but we had lots of good recommendations. Our kid completed all but the last driving lesson, then suddenly, I couldn't get a hold of them to save my life. Left emails, they called back and told me to leave my name and number with a "call center" as they no longer took incoming calls, and to call before they closed at 4pm. Ok ... so twice I was able to break away from work between 3:30 and 3:45, and both times the recording said that I called "after hours", despite the recording saying 4pm. So frustrating -- my son needs this last lesson before his driving test! Anyone know what happened? All I can say is that this company is a huge NO in terms of our recommendation - run away! read more

My daughter finished her online portion of the program. I paid for the 10 hours of behind the wheel training. It took forever to get a call to schedule it and when we did we spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to get even one day scheduled. After all of that, the scheduled time was a month out and we were only able to get that one scheduled as apparently they over sell the program and then do not have the resources to provide the services sold....can you say FRAUD! Then a week later they called and cancelled the one appointment that we were able to schedule. Wonder how the fair trade commission would feel about these practices. At this point I would love a refund of my over $600, so I could give it to a company that will actually provide the service that they sold.....shameful business practice, I'm sure it will catch up with you! read more

I had my first lesson Saturday with Douglas. Best lesson I have had! I Have tried multiple driving schools and can honestly say that this is the best. I am a nervous driver having been in an accident awhile ago. Doug made me feel calm and sure of myself. He knows what he is doing! I did a two hour lesson and it went by very easily. He is calm, systematic and knowledgeable. In just those two hours I found myself more confident and actually believing I could pass my test. Other schools have felt like they were "jumping" on me every mistake or they treated me like a 16 year old. Being in my 30s my situation is unique. I also really would like to compliment Stella in the office. She is very friendly and good with customers. In my opinion this place is professional and well managed. Both deserve accolades/recognition. I would also like to add a compliment for Natalie too. She is very thorough and professional. Everyone I have talked to and dealt with is wonderful! I highly recommend this place! Update: Still the best driving school I have worked with! (I have used three different ones). I am still very impressed with both Doug and the rest of the staff: the women who answer the phones are always courteous and friendly. I think this is a sign of a very well managed establishment. I spoke yesterday to a lady via the main customer service number to the school in Oakland (That is the school I always call etc). I don't remember her name but I wanted to know what type of car I used in the lessons as I want to buy one myself. She was super helpful and very friendly. 6/12/18: Because of the awesome instruction by Douglas this anxiety ridden 33 year old was able to get her license! As someone with severe anxiety and a history of panic attacks I can thoroughly say Douglas made me the confident and skilled driver I am today. Highly recommend for anyone with anxiety! I regret so much that I didn't check all of this before putting my money into this company....STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and do a favor to the rest of the people and give your review in any place you can to make people think twice before trusting this SCAM. Also I will do everything in my power to ensure that the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles have a consideration on all reviews in order to take this company out of their approved listing of course providers....as I choose this company from the flhsmv.gov site and thus made me believe this was a trustable company. In detail: Made the 4 Hour Florida Drug & Alcohol Online Course. Passed successfully. Also made the mistake to pay for the "instant" proof of completion. Another $10. 5 working days after and they have not sent by email the "instant" proof and WORSE they have not sent to the DMV the info of the completion of the course, so i'm stuck, no chance to have my first time FL license because of them. I have done already 6 calls and 7 chats to a Live Support located in a place far away. They keep apologizing for "technical details" and saying that within the day everything will be solved....but as you may wonder nothing has happened....Keep seeing in the Dashboard the message "Please login to your dashboard after FEW MINUTES and download your proof of completion" Now starting to get into legal action for compensatory damages, as well as the claim on the banks and will start to spread out the word on the internet about this SCAM. read more

This company was pretty good when my first child learned to drive with them about 5 years ago. Since then, I feel like it's on a steady decline. With child number two, it was a bit harder to get things scheduled but we got it done. Now with child number three, it's impossible to get through their scheduling line and if you don't call the first couple of days in the month, you can't schedule week-ends or afternoons. Had to take her out of school early couple of times to get her behind the wheels with them. Now I'm trying to schedule her last appointment but just can't seem to get anyone on line. Even after being on hold for almost half an hour. So I requested for them to call back but never got a call back. Called again at 6:30pm but they said they were closed even though their business hours according to the recording is from 8am to 7pm. Can't wait to be done with them! read more

My daughter just completed this course. I would never recommend it to anyone and will not use it for my next two children. After complaining the entire time she took this to my husband, he just sat down with us while she took the final test. He finally understands my frustrations. This program focuses 75% on drugs and alcohol. Forget your child needing to know general driving skills and road signs. Go over. Teach. That is fine. But the test questions for getting your drivers permit and to pass this course should not revolve around what I am more likely to do if I use heroin, if a tire shop or a gas station is better to get air for my tire, or what problem is associated with hands-free devices (which the course believes it will distract someone because of poor reception). I never have poor reception with my hands free device. Another question we had a problem with is what can't be operated by your multi-purpose lever. My parking lights are NOT on my levers. Windshield wipers, high/low beams, turn signals. Those are all on my levers. Their customer service is HORRIBLE to deal with. After two days of their website being down, I called in. The guy was extremely rude and would not even try to tell me if the problem was close to being resolved. Let me just mention all the grammatical and spelling errors I have noticed. Some of their videos are outdated. We were actually forced to watch credits roll after one video for at least a minute before we could move on. Steer clear. They try to trick you with stupid nonsensical questions that have two answers that you are left to figure out which one makes less sense. That is what they want you to choose. Your child will complete the course having a great idea of what drugs will do to them if they drive but they may not know what common road signs are. read more

This review is well overdue, but at 25 years old I finally got over my fear of driving and received my driver's license! There's no way I think I could have been able to conquer my fear and gain the skills necessary without the positive attitude and instruction of my instructor Long. I told him straight off the bat that I was terrified of driving, and he understood and was very good at making sure I felt comfortable, but challenged me when needed to get out of my comfort zone. The entire experience was amazing and now that I'm driving daily, I feel confident, controlled and safe due to learning some amazing defensive driving skills. I attempted to voice concerns about technical problems with the website a week in advance of my course due date; the website was not saving my progress after repeated run throughs of sections. My many emails were ignored, waiting an hour on the phone TWICE IN ONE DAY, in addition to the calls I'd placed during the week, yielded me no response, and my live chat experience? It took me over an hour to get through a queue of less than 10 people. My customer support agent told me I'd be receiving an email within an hour or 2. 8 hours later, no response. Thanks for nothing I guess? Despite all this, I did the coursework as well as I could, despite progress being removed over and over by repeated breaks (after making me take a break multiple times in the same night, my progress on the same few slides was deleted by the website multiple times). I finished the instructional part of the course. All I have to do is take the test right? Well, the website requested I take a "short break" in broken grammar, which ACTUALLY meant it forced me to wait an hour before I could take a 50 question (20 minutes or less) test. 20 minutes into the timer, my course expired. At 99% completion. Because the website LOCKED ME OUT OF TAKING A TEST THAT I WOULD HAVE FINISHED BEFORE THE 4 HOUR REQUIREMENT WAS MET. Now I must pay $50 and restart the entire thing, for a course that I ALREADY SHOULD HAVE FINISHED. Your company can view this as a customer support ticket, if you'd like. It's not like you were of ANY assistance the past 6 times I tried to contact you. Absolutely abysmal customer service. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. read more

If you want to finish an online driver's ed course in less than 2 weeks with spending 3-5 hours each day doing this course, I would definitely not recommend this course. The most infuriating part of the course is the built-in timer. Now, I understand that it is there for a reason, and that someone probably gamed the course in order to be able to pass the test extremely fast, but the timer simply makes each course extremely time-consuming, especially if you can read more than 10 words per second. read more
