As a first time novice investor I had barely dipped my toe into the wide ocean of finances. I saved my allowance, avoided credit card debit, and thought I was doing a decent job living within my means to save for a house or any other financial goal I had for the future. But I knew that there was still a lot of potential out there and I knew if I wanted to make the most of my money I had to do one critical thing: start early. And so I sought the word of someone inside the finance world and could help me navigate the right path for me. Mike has been that guide and made sure I was confident with every step I took before I took it. He didn't just tell me what he thought was best. Instead he started with the big picture by asking me what my goals were. And without judgement of my naiveite he pointed out the best way to make them a reality. That isn't to say he is a "Rubber Stamp YES Man". He made sure I was being realistic with the risks and costs and choices I would have to make to materialize my ambitions. (Getting the capital to buy a home in California is no small fries). That said, he was always encouraging and never made me feel stupid for not knowing things. Instead he would take the opportunity to educate me so that I felt that I was in charge of the decision 100% of the time. Despite being very friendly in his demeanor and conversation, in every meeting I could tell that he was giving my interests his full professional attention. He is always available when I need him and he even encourages a consistent check in to stay updated and informed of my financial trajectory. Speaking of his professionality, Mike sure knows his stuff! Even with the things I thought I knew, he was able to take my financial performance to the next level. With the crunching of numbers and the revealing of strategies I was blown away by how much of a difference his know-how made. I could not be happier with my service Mike provided. He is friendly, educational, professional, and GETS RESULTS. He takes the time to know you and your wants and needs to make an air-tight financial plan that gives you the biggest bang for your buck. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone and everyone looking for a financial planner.

The book had been sitting on my desk for a while, then in one week's time I had two separate female friends tell me the story of their divorce and how the wife just wanted peace and to not deal with the money and left it to the husband allowing him to direct and narrate the financial outcome. To be honest, that's what I wanted to do... I wanted to trust that my husband would be fair and equitable because of all the years we have been together and that I was the mother to our child. Naive thinking. Many years later they regretted not facing their fears and being proactive about their finances during the divorce. This lack of financial pro-activity hit them deeply when they reached their fifties and sixties. They both had to rely on their kids to help them financially, meanwhile their ex-husbands were living quite comfortably. The adult children also grew resentful and disappointed in their mom not only because she was forced to rely on them for financial help but because she she did not advocate for more equitable outcome. These two ladies admitted this was a mistake due to fear and inaction and warned me to not do the same thing. I contacted her during mediation. Although I did not read her book, I picked it up, called her directly and we set up a time to discuss my situation. She was immensely helpful and I felt I had a savvy, credible, and very attentive advocate. She was with me all the way through the divorce. She even gave me options for vetted attorneys / mediators that she has personally worked with when the first mediator turned out to be incompetent. The 2nd mediator that I worked with was the right one for both my ex-husband and I. In my opinion, her hourly rate was an incredible value and I never questioned it because I knew that she was getting my mind wrapped around what needed to happen financially. I was being educated and empowered at the same time so that I didn't make the mistake that the other moms did. We received all sorts of bills from specialists during the mediation... her rate... I hate to say this... but it was on the low side of all the specialists. So if you are able to get her availability I would do it. I don't know what she charges now, but regardless, you are in very capable hands. It's annoying to switch advisors after you discover they suck. You won't have to do that with her. I am deeply grateful that she was able to guide me during one of the hardest times of my life. I have recommended a friend to her... and she is happy as well. Bookmark this lady. You will need her.
