This past Saturday, my daughter and I picked up the car at the time now we had booked and met the wonderful Rob ( our birthday twin ) who was so helpful and so lovely! He was fantastic and the experience was fast, smooth and wonderful! Then, Lawrence, another fabulous employee checked us out ( going over all the car details) and made that experience easy peasy and we drove off so happy about the expeditious way everything was handled. Anyway, this location is the last remnant of the Ugly Duckling chain, we were told. An Ugly Duckling clock hung on the wall of the no frills office, a souvenir of days gone by. The cars are not new, are shabby, missing hubcaps, displaying painful-looking dents. My friend got one with A/C for about $20 a day. There are weekly and monthly rates that sweeten the deal even more. We got great service from Ruben. I may add a star as time goes by - this is the first day my friend has driven the UD beater, let's see if it survives the month.......

At drop-off, I was told the car was dirty and would require a $125 cleaning fee. When I pushed back, the fee was suddenly reduced to $50. After I took photos and pointed out that the car was not excessively dirty, the charge was dropped entirely. The experience made it clear they were trying to squeeze out as much money as possible.
