The big box shops have the mass produced feed at, I think, sometimes lower prices, but it's worth it to us and our outdoor family to get the good stuff (and it's not always more money). The back wall at the register is also always a fun read -- they have a regularly changing wall with tons of humorous wood signs/plaques and they carry some other fun giftable items. I have done some present shopping here from time to time. (And, no - I did not give my wife a bag of bird seed for Christmas! That would have been more of a birthday thing...)

We got a massive tree at a very reasonable price. Customer service was excellent and it had the same smell as the hardware store I used to go to for popcorn when I was a kid.
