Avoid V10 Motors at All Costs!…read more My experience with V10 Motors was by far the worst used car experience I could ever imagine. I was interested in purchasing a 350Z, but dealing with the owner turned out to be a complete disaster. Since I live eight hours away, I made several efforts to communicate with the owner in advance to ensure my trip wouldn't be a waste of time or money. Unfortunately, it was. The day before, I texted him several times, and he claimed he didn't receive my messages--until I mentioned I was planning to come and view the car the next day. On Saturday, I set off for the dealership and confirmed via text that I would arrive at 3 PM. Thirty minutes before my arrival, he texted to say the car had a flat tire and that he couldn't fix it. I arrived about 20 minutes later, only to find that the owner wasn't there. He wouldn't answer my calls but finally responded to a text, saying he'd be there shortly. When he eventually arrived, he asked me to move my vehicle and trailer because the lot was close to private drives--by the way, the lot is nothing like the pictures. Then, he told me I could test drive the car on the flat tire but that I'd be liable if anything went wrong. Naturally, I refused. I asked if he had a spare or any solution, but he had nothing to offer. Reluctantly, he drove the car himself, and I asked him to demonstrate the convertible top. This was an epic failure. He admitted he didn't know how to operate it and couldn't get it to open. His solution? He asked me to hold the brake while he physically pulled on the top! Once we returned to the lot, I suggested using a can of Fix-a-Flat to make the car drivable. He said he had never heard of it but that I could "do whatever I wanted." I was stunned--how could someone in the car business not know about Fix-a-Flat? He then directed me to a store five miles away, despite there being a parts store less than half a mile from the lot. I purchased the Fix-a-Flat with my own money and returned to find that the owner didn't even know how to open the car's trunk. When I finally accessed it and applied the Fix-a-Flat, it seeped out because the tire was no longer seated on the rim. At that point, I told him I was done. His response? A casual "OK," with no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. After a 16-hour round trip, I left empty-handed and deeply frustrated. The owner's lack of professionalism, knowledge, and basic customer service was appalling. I'm not even sure he owned the car he was trying to sell, given how clueless he was about it. Please, save yourself the time, money, and headache--stay far away from V10 Motors LLC.

The van has had problems continuously since its purchase. It is the first year VMI has produced this conversion for this model, and this is one of the first vehicles of this model modified by them. The design is full of bugs. New warning signs keep showing up every few miles. During the first few weeks, there were warning signs related to hybrid batteries that a Toyota dealer fixed. This took 3 or 4 trips over the first month. Then a sign indicating "Traction Battery Cooling System is not working" appeared. The Toyota dealer indicated they could not find the Traction Battery cooling system in the converted van. VMI may have removed/relocated it. SBM indicated that VMI knows the problem and has already worked out a solution. If VMI knew the problem, why did they not send a recall notice? Anyway, I waited, and SBM implemented the solution, but the warning sign reappeared. Instead of fixing the problem, VMI (through SBM) responded that it is the customer's responsibility to clean the cooling system. They threatened that the customer would be responsible for a fire or any other damage the traction system heating may cause. They sent pages from the standard Toyota Sienna User Manual showing where the cooling system vents are. There are no vents there in the converted van. I returned the pictures of the actual location to the dealer, showing that the vents had been removed. This was five months ago, back in October 2022. We have been waiting for a response since then. We are afraid to drive the vehicle and put my disabled son to danger when there have been so many cases of fire due to batteries getting hot. I want the dealer to take this lemon away and provide a complete refund so that we can buy reliable transportation for our disabled son. SBM is the sole representative of VMI in MO, so this is the only dealer anywhere that will touch this van. Once, the sign appeared when we were in another city, and all dealers refused to work on this van and asked us to take it back to the dealer who sold it. We are now trapped with an expensive "lemon."

(I knew he would not be able to locate a door as he was full of shit. He said he'd fix it and we could keep the money.) well I myself purchased a door handles for $50 as he said the cheapest he could find was $130. Took the car with a dented door and got it back. I am so not happy. Dent still in it and bright silver door handle on the green car looks like total shit and Jerry rigged crap. Yes we can open and close the door now and yes it ended up being under $300 but there wasn't any extra as he told the person paying the exact price and left no leeway for me to make anything at all so I'm out extra money and got a crap door job. It was a joke where he tried stroking us by being such a great guy to show how to put oil in the car at the end. Such a song and dance bullshit. I work on cars I don't need instructions on how to find the bright yellow stick !! So now I'm in the process of starting over and get it fixed correctly where I'm happy with how it looks. His wife answers the phone and runs interference for the guy. Just a cluster fuck scene from beginning to end. I did not ask for a deal or ask that he do it cheaply. The people paying were paying the $1500. I don't understand why he would think I'd be happy with such a shit job and no money he said he couldn't charge extra as it was against the law but it was his idea to do it in the first place. I wasn't in it to make money just have it like it was before it was damaged. I'll put a picture tomorrow so u can all laugh at how bad it truly looks like crap on a cracker!
