Boy have I had some adventures here! From falling down an escalator as a tot to riding the Mindbender roller coaster back when that was still a thing, showing off the amusement park to university/college students visiting our city from elsewhere or playing laser tag with the band Green Day when they came to town for Edge Fest or most recently visiting to play DDR with my partner or bringing our toddler here to ride rides... Galaxyland is a thing. It can be a place of joy or a place of sorrows... it can certainly be an expensive visit or an inexpensive one depending on how you do it, but it can clearly be a lot of fun! When I was a kid I ADORED The children's play park area. My toddler loved the ball pit when we visited as a family. The rides are a mixed bag. Currently most are themed around Hasbro properties and some aren't really suitable for adults who are exceedingly tall though the height restrictions for children are clearly noted. I have a lot of fond memories here but note that it can be really noisy and crowded so plan accordingly. It is great that in a winter city like Edmonton indoor amusement areas like this one exist, clearly!

I'm terrified of roller coasters because of the metal hitting the rails and the g-forces but I wanted to have fun. And after visiting here I think I got over that and am looking forward to amusement parks. Tip: if you are staying at the Fantasyland hotel, you can buy passes for more than half the cost. It even includes access to attractions outside the amusement park including mini golf, maze, indoor beach, aquarium, ice rink and much more. I've heard good things from past visitors, but sadly I couldn't have had a more opposite experience. Many games were broken down, as were the registration terminals, everything is over priced, the building was freezing, it was so LOUD I had to scream all night to talk to my friends... Let's make this simple: it's exceptionally rare I'll bother with a 1-star review because I'd rather focus on the positive and just write off meh experiences. We're all human, bad days happen, etc. To earn a 1-star you've really got work for it and miss pretty much every single bar that I could possibly lift for you to at least get a 2. So, here we are with the 1-star. Just skip it and save yourself the money. Kids might like it, but parents will significantly overspend for a very mediocre experience that could be much better elsewhere for a comparable, if not better, price. Very disappointed, but happy to say I have no interest in, and won't be, returning.

Indoor plumbing for the bathrooms. RV sites available for race weekends or all season. In reasonable distance to several towns and cities. The perfect family sport. Racers and helpful and friendly. It's like a home away from home.

Stratotech is one of the few motorsports facilities in Edmonton and it's a great track. The track…read morewas built to be used for karting and motorcycles, so it's relatively narrow and tight compared to tracks that are built for cars. However, there are many days where the track is used by cars in a 'lapping' format. Basically, you race against the clock with about six cars on the track, spread out across it. There are two passing zones on the straights so that passes can be made safely. I've been to watch a few motorcycle racing events, quite a few drifting events and I drove it last year at a lapping day organized by the Calgary Sports Car Club. It's a challenging course but very fun. I was there last night watching a Speedway Performance event, that seemed very organized and looked like a lot of fun. I'll be out there racing once my car is sorted out. It was a good event for both novices and seasoned drivers. There's the odd exotic that comes out too, so that's always exciting to see. The track itself is well maintained and there are bleachers that allow you to see nearly the entire track. There is lots of parking too.
