Driver was friendly but once the ride was underway the air conditioner in the vehicle did not operate properly leaving both of us sweltering in the vehicle for the entire 1.5 hr ride (Greenville to Columbia) on a 90+ degree day. I was traveling for business and had to shower upon arriving to my destination. Because the experience did not meet the advertised "enjoy a relaxing ride with SC Shuttle services" I reached out to the owner/manager requesting a partial refund because though I did get to my destination but it was very uncomfortable. Rather than respond to my inquiry proactively the managed/owner waited for me to call and then argued that the AC worked fine despite the driver having told him about the AC issue too (which he admitted to in our phone conversation). He was not in the vehicle so he wouldn't know. He said he would not be willing to even consider a refund based on my experience. I consider myself a reasonable person and was disappointed with this outcome. An Uber or Lyft would have been a better and more comfortable option .

But thanks to these guys at Silver Star Car Service of Charlotte, I got to my final destination in Greenville, SC, about a hundred miles south, without a problem. Mike, the driver, was more than happy to take the credit card numbers even though I did not have the card on me! Pleasant and completely positive, he picked me up in the airport, dropped me at the door of my hotel in Greenville, in a clean and new SUV. He then returned three days later to the hotel door to return me to the airport. Of course it cost more than a rental car but he saved my trip and his fee was far less than one other quoted to me on the phone before I chose Silver Star Car Service. Ask for Mike.
