Only 11 miles of superhighway and for the privilege of driving on it, I was charged $1.90 for my out of state toll transponder. $0.17 per mile seems like a lot considering it was over in 10 minutes. Traffic was moving swiftly - I was going 70ish and getting passed by others consistently. The roadway is smooth and the toll plaza was easy to negotiate. One thing they seem to do well is take money. There are service areas along the way - I stopped at Montvale - so that you don't have to get off the roadway and search around for food or fuel. I'd choose the GSP again to drive through New Jersey. I have not traveled on the entire parkway leaving me with a lot of info to share, but expect most traffic to occur from the Thruway (the northern terminus) until reaching Hockhockson, mainly due to connections with NYC. I have not experienced any problems, but anyone who has limited knowledge of this area, pull up Google Maps and have it in handy when needed. Be prepared for tollage along the stretch, and the costs. Along the whole parkway, there are service areas to stop to eat and rest. Drive safely and carefully on this parkway.

Okay true confession here:…read more Yes I played "Woke up this morning" when I first got on Yes I got excited when I drove past the fuel tank from the opening montage with the "Drive Safely" stenciled on it. Yes I regret not getting a cigar to compete my Sopranos geek out. I entered in New York and drove the length non stop. The final damage will as like 13 dollars for the 117 miles. It was a Saturday and the traffic was not an issue. I did not stop at the rest stops or anything but found it well paved and clean. Based on my experience with the Express Lanes in California where going 4-5 miles can be almost as much, but maybe it was because of the day and time?

The road/ bridges are so unmaintained you would be better off taking a dirt road. I made one trip down to Pennsylvania for building materials and suffered multiple damages to vehicle/ cargo from potholes and bridge transitions. I alone spent over $150 in tolls. The turnpike roughly sees 1million travelers a day* roughly. That's almost $150,000,000 million dollars in revenue a day*. There is no excuse for the NJ turnpike authority to not maintain the highway.

It was also a dream to get to travel there with my close friends and for them to see Italy for the first time! Our trip was curated so thoughtfully by Anthony. The food, the wine, the places we stayed, and the people we met along the way were all wonderful. From wine tasting in Tuscany, to the private tour of the winery itself, to hiking in Elba, to spontaneously going to the Montefalco festival (we were lucky that we happened to be nearby the weekend of the festival!!)... I experienced a whole new Italy I'd never seen before, new culinary styles, new wine varietals and exquisite scenery. Anthony has a joy and passion for Italy and travel and as his guests, we felt that joy throughout the entire trip. 5-stars for sure :)

However, he had made sure to create an itinerary that had a perfect blend of activity, relaxation and exploration and managed to split us off if needed. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure what the service Sojourn provided was for, but Anthony ensures that you are not stressed about a single thing throughout your journey. He had driven us to each of our destination points safely and had also booked us for local experiences that we would never have otherwise found. Between the private wine tours, once-in-a-lifetime dinners, and the freedom to explore everything else with no worries, it was truly a perfect vacation. Thanks Anthony!

We figure just something to hold us over till later. The menu has a great selection of food, beverages and alcoholic drinks. We ordered the Triple Play which was Pretzel Dogs, Bar Burgers, and Bone-In Wings with choice of sauce or dry rub. Served with honey By our surprise the food was Amazing!! Everything was fresh and done to perfection. The burgers was juicy, the pretzel dough wrapped around the small hot dog was handmade taste like came right out oven and the chicken came right off the bone. All the food we saw coming out looked delicious and really good sized portions. We finished our dinner off with their Banana Fosters Pie dessert and we asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on side. It was so tasty! The ambiance is sports oriented. If don't want the bar area which is very large. You can sit away from there in the family area that has the seating that's where we sat. They also had seating away from the tv's in a more secluded area. We liked where we was ,It was very nice with all the big screens around with all the different sports playing. I can't wait to go back and try other menu selections. *to anyone whom seen my original review it may have shown only four stars, but it was meant to have FIVE STARS and it was truly an error. Dave & Buster's definitely deserves five stars and may I add the waiter whom waited on us was very attentive to what we needed and very pleasant. It made the experience extra special! Will definitely be back!

I genuinely enjoy using the Outerbridge Crossing, and that's not something I ever thought I'd say…read moreabout a bridge. For me, this crossing is a huge quality-of-life upgrade when traveling between New Jersey and Staten Island. It lets me skip several painful miles of traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike, and honestly, that alone makes it worth it every single time. When traffic is backed up and crawling elsewhere, this route feels like a secret shortcut that actually works. The bridge itself is modern, clean, and well maintained. Everything about it feels updated and efficient--from the roadway to the overall flow of traffic. It's fast, smooth, and rarely feels congested compared to nearby alternatives. When you're trying to get where you're going without unnecessary stress, that makes a big difference. Tolling is straightforward, traffic moves consistently, and the entire experience feels far more streamlined than many other crossings in the area. Instead of stop-and-go frustration, you get a predictable, steady drive--which is honestly priceless during peak travel times. All in all, the Outerbridge Crossing is one of those pieces of infrastructure you really learn to appreciate once you've used it regularly. It saves time, reduces stress, and helps you avoid miles of gridlock. As far as bridges go, this one does exactly what it's supposed to do--and does it well.
