Worst experience possible…read more Was referred here after a knee injury and thought I got lucky by getting an appointment quickly. Later to find out that the doctor seeing me that day felt like he wasn't the correct doctor for what I was needing and referred me to another doctor in the building. After waiting serval weeks I finally am able to see Dr. Kelley. This guy comes into the room after having me wait over an hour and doesn't even look at my knee. He quickly suggests possibly physical therapy could fix it. Mind you I have a completely torn ACL and a torn medial meniscus and my leg is completely locked at 35 degrees! After telling him I've been in therapy for a month as this point I'm not sure I can survive much longer like this he suggests surgery which I agree to. He tells me that his surgery coordinator will contact me within the next couple days with a date. I let those couple days pass I hear nothing. Then a week goes by, and I try to call. After waiting on hold for an hour I get told "well she's out of office try again tomorrow". So I do that, I call back every day until I get through to her just for her to be completely nasty towards me saying she was out and that no one was covering for her. She finally gives me a surgery date which was 3 full months after my first visit with Dr Kelley. I understand places are busy but 3 whole months unable to walk is hard on anyone! I finally get to the surgery and I thought it was going to go smoothly. But after surgery I was sent home with no instructions at all. No exercise I should be doing, no recommendations on when to start anything. I was told "go to physical therapy and they will handle it". I finally start physical therapy 5 days after surgery and they are completely shocked that Dr Kelley gave me no instructions. As time goes on post op I can tell something is just not right. I was only getting about 70 degrees of flexion 6 weeks post op. And I was going back in for my check up. The nurse there said I looked fine and I finally lost it and asked to see the dr right away. Again not even touching my knee or checking to see what is happening he agrees that I need a manipulation under anesthesia. So basically starting all over again. After that I find out that they do not accept my new insurance and I wasn't going to be able to get the help I needed. I ended up getting all my records from them and having to start over the process with another facility. Now, almost a year post op I am still in pain. The neglect from this office and Dr Kelley because I am "young and look healthy" has ruined my life. Stay far away from this place if possible. If you are an athlete hoping to return to sport do not trust any doctor here and ask your primary for a referral for somewhere else. I will never able to return to sport thanks to this place.

I had originally been referred to a different ortho specialist and had a horrible experience there. When I asked to get a new doctor doe a second opinion I was sent to Dr. Pacheco. Now when I first went to see him I didn't expect much, I knew my back was bad and there probably wasn't going to be many options for me. But Dr. Pacheco was a kind and understanding person, and luckily enough he had experienced similar people with my type of pain. Ultimately he provided me with the option of a spinal fusion, I won't lie I was nervous, but I could tell Dr. Pacheco was trustworthy and he was willing to give me another shot with a repaired back. It might not be brand new but he fixed me up. Dealing with chronic back pain as bad as mine really had me in a dark place mentally but Dr. Pacheco was able to give me hope again.

My son has recurrent shoulder dislocations and recently had his shoulder dislocate while he was sleeping. He needs to move forward with surgical evaluation, so being unable to reach the office is especially concerning. We have also experienced very long waits once we are actually in the office. Based on other reviews mentioning similar concerns, I hope management takes a serious look at the scheduling and communication system. Patients dealing with urgent medical issues need a reliable way to reach the office and receive timely care.

We saw Ari Arroyo, who was fantastic at discharge we were told to follow up with a CT scan and an appointment within two weeks of discharge. I called them upon discharge and was told that I can't make it a follow up appointment until we had the CT scan. You cannot get to a live person. You have to leave a message with their AI assistant who will text you back. That was issue number one for us, and we could not understand why we could not make an appointment. While we did get the CT scan requisition, and scheduled it, I let them know the date of the CT scan and they still would not schedule anything until after the CT scan. We had the CT scan, I texted, called, emailed them to tell them that the CT scan was done and we wanted to make an appointment. We didn't hear anything for five days and I contacted them multiple times. Again you cannot get to a live person. You have to leave a message. And to top it off, they take a two hour lunch every day. I contacted our insurance company, who was completely unhappy with this situation and have referred this practice to their QA department for review. Our insurance agent called the number - there is an option for doctors or insurance companies referral. The first day she was on hold with them for 30 minutes the second day for over 90 mins, and trust me when I say they were not happy at all. Our insurance agent was able to get us an appointment with the Loma Linda neurosurgery team within one week. We had an excellent experience saw them at the Murrieta office, and we were seen very quickly by the neurosurgeon and have a great follow up plan. The doctors may be fantastic at this practice, we will never know but their policies of making appointments and getting callbacks is completely unacceptable especially for patients who have neurosurgical conditions. Go elsewhere, as mentioned Loma Linda was fantastic.

We are very much in agreement with that form of medicine (Blue Zones), which looks for cause, rather than throwing a pharmaceutical at the symptom, and looks for natural ways and supplementation to heal the body! We are quite happy so far. We've had no problem reaching the appointment desk and scheduling appointments. The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!
