Repair Key Fob Very Very Knowledgable About Keys…read more I dropped my Honda key/fob it stopped working. I visited my local Honda dealer for Repair. They took the fob apart and tried a new battery. It still didn't work. They told me the key was no longer usable and I would have to buy a new fob at a price of $287. I said that's too much. I went to American lock and Key and the gentleman there was very knowledgeable of what was going on he took the fob apart and he noticed that there was the chip was missing. He asked where I dropped the key and I told on the floor at home. He suggested I go back home and look for the missing part. Sure enough there it was on floor, very small and hard to see. I replaced the part into the fob. The key worked perfect. This guy is very very honest he told me there no charge it was the Wisconsin way we do things. By the way do you need to go there just to see his cat.

We called all over just to be told they couldn't duplicate her key for one reason or another. We were told her car had to be TOWED to a garage, have 2 replacement keys cut then pay to have the new keys programmed. All of this was at a price of 150-350 depending on type of key and miles of towing. I did a quick search online for locksmiths in the La Crosse area and found Big Ben's. Contacted him and told him our situation and what was needed. He quoted a price and set up a time. Service was prompt, courteous and professional from start to finish! Within 15 minutes he had a new key made, programmed and our daughter was on the road again. Big Ben's was a life saver! THANK YOU BEN!!
