The walls were festooned with Texan symbolism, calling to mind Southern comfort, country hospitality, and a brand of beer-drinkin' fun long extinct in a growing generation of wussies. Too bad this image was immediately shattered by the way the owner runs this establishment. My bands and I had the displeasure of playing here last night, and we were thanked for all the business we brought in by being subsequently banned from here. Paying customers were complained to vociferously about their cell phones and cameras being plugged in, our band was harassed constantly about power draw issues (which is not our responsibility.) we were told only later that we had broken some unwritten rules about where we could go and how long we could play. Rules, I might add, that she was too busy being snarky and rude to us during the night to inform us of. We were also kicked off the stage; completely unceremoniously shut down TWO HOURS before our time was contractually up because 'it hurt her ears.' May I mention again that the facilities were a bug-infested embarrassment populated mostly by LIVE BEES. My singer got stung in the ear. I was worried for my junk when I was dropping a deuce. Look, lady... ya wanna be alone in the quiet? Fine. Bye.

The house salad with the garlic vinaigrette was delicious and perfectly sized. I had the catch of the day which was blackened Cobia and boy was it fire. Atmosphere: As fancy as it gets in rockport. But also welcoming to casual. This is my favorite spot in rockport hands down. I'll be back :)

We started off with cocktails; a margarita and I had the strawberry basil cocktail, but substituted the tequila with vodka. For an appetizer we started off with the lump crab, then had the corn chowder and tomato bisque soup. The butter that came with the bread was sooooo yummy. Their secret garlic butter with spices......Oh sooooooo yummy. Then we ordered the specials. My spouse had the fish, crab and shrimp in sambuca and I had the red fish in a lemon and caper sauce. We topped it off with crème brûlée and a key lime tart. So delicious. The kiddos had chicken fingers and fries. All the dishes were served with a side of orzo and vegetables, which complimented the meals perfectly. Thank you for your hospitality, great atmosphere, and hats off to your phenomenal chefs/cooks. See you again real soon. ‍
