From the very beginning, we were treated with condescension, arrogance, and a complete lack of professionalism for absolutely no reason. The staff seemed irrationally upset that the vehicle they towed did not have full coverage insurance--as if that had any impact on them whatsoever. Instead of simply assisting us with releasing our vehicle, they chose to be rude and dismissive throughout the entire interaction. After multiple calls, we found a collision repair shop ourselves and provided Steve's Towing with the exact address to have the car transferred. Despite giving all necessary information for the repair shop, when we arrived in person, the situation only escalated. An older blonde woman at the front window told us that our "insurance company was rude" and that they were "done working with us." This made absolutely no sense, especially considering that they never needed to communicate with our insurance at any point--we were paying out of pocket. At no point did we ever behave in a rude, disrespectful, or inappropriate manner toward the staff. Despite this, they chose to treat us without the basic courtesy, dignity, and respect that all human beings deserve. What was most disturbing was the underlying, yet very noticeable, prejudice in how we were treated. It was completely unacceptable, uncalled for, and frankly abhorrent. No customer should ever be made to feel this way. I strongly advise anyone who cares about the moral and ethical behavior of the companies they do business with--not to give their business to Steve's Towing.

I am very disappointed in the service we received from Alcala's Towing. We were in a car accident…read moreon August 23rd and our insurance, Lemonade, sent them to pick up our car and deliver it to a body shop. The driver came to our house around 630pm on Friday night and dropped it off at the body shop. When I hadn't heard from anyone by Tuesday, I called the body shop and they were glad to hear from me because they had no idea whose car was sitting in their parking lot. No paper work was left behind but worst of all, no key was left either. I called Alcala's Towing and asked where he placed the key. He told me it was in a manila envelope in their drop box. The body shop told me they don't have a drop box, just a mail slot and my key wasn't there. The tow truck driver called the shop himself and told them that he wrapped it up in a piece of trash and dropped it in the mail slot. My key was never found and neither insurance company would pay for it to get a new key. Luckily, the collision center, Crash Champions in Murrieta is amazing and they paid for a new key and fob. All this could have been avoided! Why would you ever wrap a key in trash like that?
