I am so thrilled to have found Sam and QPC for our renovation needs. There was a whole list of…read moreimprovements I had in mind, and he made them all happen on a faster timeline and on a much lower budget than any other estimates I received. We completely gutted the den, evened the floors, put in radiant floor heating, sealed off the small door to the patio and put in sliding glass doors, and completely reconfigured the laundry/half bath/water heater space! And, very importantly, he did an absolutely gorgeous job. His company is smaller, which means less overhead and, in my experience, very client-focused and driven to excellence. From the beginning Sam was very communicative and throughout the process was available to talk through any questions/ideas/concerns I had. In the end, he stuck close to his initial estimates (the few additional costs had been flagged and discussed with and agreed upon by me before they were incurred), and completed the work well within the initial timeframe. I definitely recommend Sam/QPC for your next home renovation project!

Working with Val and the team was such a great experience. They designed a custom wine cellar that…read moreincorporated our staircase and turned it into a real centerpiece in the house. They do everything from framing to interior design, and they always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The list of projects they completed for us is honestly too long to name, but here are some of the bigger ones: Outside work: siding, painting the entire exterior, refreshing the deck, installing doors, trim repair/replacement, and window repairs. Inside work: remodeling two bathrooms with walk-in showers and custom shelving, replacing all the trim throughout the house to give it a more modern look, resurfacing wood surfaces, painting all the interior doors, replacing flooring downstairs with luxury waterproof vinyl flooring, replacing subfloors, installing electrical fixtures throughout the house, and building custom shelving for closets and bathrooms -- even a custom cubby closet with a plantation door. Beyond the quality of the work, Val and the team are just great people to work with. They're professional, hardworking, and always positive. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and it shows in the finished product. Anytime we had a question or concern, they handled it right away. I'd recommend them over any other contractor in the area. With their help, we sold our house in just 10 days and got almost full asking price, even in a tough market. Thanks again, Val and team -- you really helped make our vision come to life!

We've had three projects with Paul & friends at Homez Remodel in the last year: the first was a…read morelaundry room overhaul where we had them gut the interior entirely and install new cabinets, countertop, a sink with matching countertop, and flooring. The second was recessed lighting and related electrical work in our living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. The third were various smaller projects in another property including replacing a bathroom vanity and mirror. Across all these projects Paul and the team were quick to respond and work with us on specifics from the start of the project through unexpected bumps encountered along the way. Their work is consistently great and it's a reason we keep going back to them to try to squeeze into their schedule. The only downside is the cost of the projects, but frankly it's worth it for this level of quality, customer service, and flexibility. We highly recommend the Homez team.

We had an outstanding experience with Carl at Better Call Carl! From start to finish, his…read morecommunication was excellent. He set up an appointment to meet with us right away and sent over a very professional, detailed quote the same day. He got us on his schedule quickly and completed the job to absolute perfection. Five years ago we had carpet installed and were left with an annoying gap between the carpet and the baseboard. It drove me crazy! Carl not only handled the installation beautifully, but he also made sure the new padding was thick enough to eliminate that gap entirely. A problem that bothered me for five years - gone in one day thanks to Carl. Fast, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely thoughtful. We couldn't recommend him more!

We will not be working with Better Call Carl again. Last November, we hired him to perform a…read more"bathroom refresh". Hooked us in with a great price and great initial communication. On the first day on the renovation, we went through all the details of changes we wanted to make with his team. Somehow, these details never came to fruition. They did a great job with the drywall, painting, and tub installation - however, their tile work in the shower is subpar (the tiles were placed crooked and we had to go in to regrout ourselves). We previously had plumbing work done, so the cabinetry underneath the vanity had to be replaced. Better Call Carl figured the best way to do this was to just patchwork plywood (we went back ourselves to fix). He also didn't see the need for continuous baseboards (see photo). The biggest problem we have is with the floors - we also had terrazzo floor tiles placed and confirmed with the team prior to starting that there were enough tiles to complete the project. The floor is not up to industry standard nor ADA requirements. The grout lines are all different sizes and the actual tiles are not level, resulting in a trip hazard. There are also tiles that have been chipped both during and after installation. We reached out to Better Call Carl after work was complete to see if he could replace the floor - he was reluctant to come back, but he did end up replacing two tiles (out of 21). Even after the second round, the floor is a little more level, but nowhere near the standard or expectation. There are still chipped tiles, uneven grout lines, and tiles that are not level. We will be buying new tiles and having the floor redone, so we asked for a partial refund (for just the work on the floor), which was denied. We then tried to see if there was any other resolution we could agree on since Better Call Carl claims he has a one-year warranty. He refused to uphold his warranty. We'll be going with another professional from here on and would not recommend Better Call Carl to anyone.
