Alan's bid was super competitive (as low as the next lowest) and I picked him because his estimate was so detailed...he seemed very organized. Man was I lucky...Not only was he clean and organized he really knows his stuff when is comes to trim work. He installed two-part crown moudling (molding?) in our master bedroom. I had some tricky angles, a sloped ceiling, etc that I knew was going to be a challenge. In actuality the job ended up being WAY more complicated because our house was built with one side of room having a completely different angle on the sloped ceiling than the other side. I had a painter in our house at the same time and he said there was no way to install crown in that room because of the odd ball angles on the ceiling. After measuring Alan said it was one of the craziest walls he had seen in 20+ years of experience. He nailed it...looks perfect...and stuck to his original estimate despite the fact it took twice as long as it should have. The same painter that said it couldn't be done asked for his business card and said he would be referring him out to all of his customers. This is a painter that knows TONS of crown molding contractors and he said it was the best work he had ever seen. Hire Alan. You get the best possible work at half the price!

Max threatened to vandalize my home - - rip out my tile and remove cabinet hardware - - unless me…read moreand my significant other rushed back to get home within 15 minutes even though we were both working. All that we wanted was to both get to the house at around 5:30pm to inspect the work but apparently that wasn't good enough for Max. We were not trying to renegotiate the contract. We were trying to enforce the contract to make sure everything was done that we agreed to verbally and written before paying. We both had to abandon our jobs and risk getting fired in order to pay max at around 2:30pm instead of 5:30pm. When we got to the house around 1:15pm, the work wasn't even completed. So why did he threaten to do that? We had to wait another two hours for him to finish before inspecting the work. All the while we are not working at our own jobs. Overall the company did an awful job on my opinion especially when you include the service aspect. Communication was awful too, and I believe there is grout haze all over my marble tile that I may have to hire someone to get off. We were told that the work was going to be finished in two and a half days but it took six days to just put in a new kitchen backsplash! Max didn't even show up to supervise the work during the entire time. It seems that he's not committed to performing everything that he promises to do based on verbal and written estimates. He'll make promises to get the job, but when you ask if he's done everything that he promised before paying him, he'll accuse you of "renegotiating the contract" even though you're just trying to verify that everything was done appropriately. We agreed verbally that I would pay $2100 if he would add knobs to the living room built-ins and adjust the kitchen cabinet. The written quote was for $2000. Initially he verbally quoted $1800. I never said or implied that I wasn't going to pay him. My advice is to the owner is to not threaten to damage the home of clients before the work is even complete. Ultimately to keep him from acting on his threat, I just paid him the money to get him out of my house. Any mistakes I'll hire someone else to fix. See attached text message where he messaged us and attached contract.

Purple Renovation and Remodeling recently completed their third project for us. The first project…read morewas the replacement of an exterior door. The second project was the design, build and installation of a "built in" bookcase and the third and largest project was a complete transformation of our primary bathroom. We now have new floor, custom tiled shower, new soaking tub, vanities, sinks, mirrors, light fixtures, toilet and paint. The owners were so patient with us and were very accommodating of some schedule limitations that we experienced during the 6-8 week project window. I felt very supported and respected throughout the project. If/when we are ready for something else, we will call Purple first to see if they can help!

Another fantastic project with the Wreedone team…read more This time, we hired them to replace the flooring throughout the majority of our house, tearing out older tile and hardwood that had suffered from previous water-cupping damage. I had manually measured close to 1,700 square feet, but Wil and Spencer utilized a mobile tech scanning tool to map both the floors and walls (for a future paint project) in a matter of minutes. It immediately validated my manual measurements and gave us complete confidence in the project's scope. We chose to vacate the house during the heavy demo and installation. Scheduling-wise, Wreedone was exceptionally punctual, hitting every milestone exactly when they said they would. They carefully moved and secured our heavy furniture, treated our property with immense respect, and ensured everything was locked up tight at the end of each workday. I had the chance to meet the tile installer, Daniel, and his crew. Daniel is a true craftsman--he noticed minor pattern differences in the tiles and expertly blended them so the installation looks perfectly seamless throughout the house. A true professional! Spencer also brought some great problem-solving to the baseboards. Because the new floors sat a bit lower, reusing the old baseboards would have left a noticeable paint gap along the walls. Factoring in the labor to patch and paint that gap, it was actually more cost-effective to install brand-new baseboards, which ended up looking even better than the originals. Given the massive amount of demolition dust, the top-to-bottom post-construction cleaning was incredible. Walls, floors, countertops, ceiling fan blades--everything was spotless! I am also incredibly grateful to Justin and Chase for the daily updates and progress photos, as well as their care in quickly moving the large furniture back into place post-cleanup. Wreedone's methodology isn't just about executing a single task; they deliver a complete, holistic package. They managed every aspect of this project to deliver a high-quality result that gave my wife and me exactly what we wanted while protecting our overall investment. Well done!
