We went with drees above all the builders in the community as they say they are custom builders …read more We are very disappointed with the build quality both interior and exterior . Interior workman ship is so bad very unhappy overall . Not even a year since we moved in all our stained cabinets in kitchen and rest of the house look like its been years since we have been living in the house . When we moved in first week itself we told our build manager the same thing and painters never got it right after trying to clean them and get them looking new but in the end they looked the same . Even wood floor and paint job for the whole house was done bad and never been fixed either . Will never go with Drees if there is a next time.

Within 24 hours, the Sales Manager S.K. stated verbally and by email "we have lot X on hold for you guys to make decisions....and 'will hold' this through the week for you guys.", then a second email stated "As it always happens, we have a family that wants lot X.......so I have it held for you guys but will hold through 'Wednesday'......We are not supposed to put holds on home-sites, 'but wanted to do that for you guys'.....", then a third email stated "So we have to decide by ' tomorrow' - because there are now two people that want this home site and unfortunately, I am not going to be able to hold past 'tomorrow'". The original face-to-face meeting and the three emails were sent on the same day. I purposely took a morning appointment so my family would not lose out on an opportunity, and was told not to worry by the Sale Manager S.K.. After the third email, I had my realtor schedule a meeting with the Drees Sales Manager S.K. the next day from the third email and was ready to sign a contract, but my agent called to let me know that the Drees Sales Manager S.K. sold the lot to someone else. I would have stayed all day at the original meeting to make the deal if it wasn't for trusting "The Drees Company" Sales Manager's S.K. word. So my family decided to work with a trusting and ethical builder, Highland Homes we've purchased from before. I will leave judgement of Drees Light Farms Sales Manager S.K. to the readers. I did forward the Light Farms Sales Manager's emails to "The Drees Company" CEO, David Drees so he would consider improving his companies namesake on ethics and integrity.

Unfortunately we're not there yet…read more When we were thinking of buying a home or renting a fancy place in the north suburbs close to Frisco - which is where she would have been working - this is where we ended up looking at quite a few different houses and places, but honestly it's a little bit far out from everything, and it's a little bit too white and Rich and Suburban for us. More than anything it's a little bit expensive but these are definitely wonderful homes so good job to anybody living in one, or aspiring to.

There were a few weeks when it actually looked like we were going to have to move to Dallas and we were not too thrilled about that. Sorry Dallas. We prefer HOU. More diverse and Queensesque. And it's home for Bae. We were considering Plano but there were some drawbacks. Then we were considering Frisco because it would have been close to where Barbie was working, or would have been working, and not too far from where I was working, or was supposed to be working, and because it's sort of like a leafy perfectly safe Suburban Paradise. One of the drawbacks was that it was actually quite expensive considering that Texas prices are fairly cheap. Yes these properties are incredibly nice but they're also a little bit generic and not cheap at all. They were gorgeous though and we enjoyed touring around a few of the different homes that we were interested in - and we definitely will consider living here if we ever have to live in the North burbs of Dallas for any depressing reason. Better to live in these slightly-more-diverse (well, Plano and Carrollton and Richardson, if not Frisco) North burbs though, than in the nightmarish endless west burbs, the remote East burbs, or the downtrodden south burbs.
