Drea was the MVP of my wedding weekend and became a fast friend! She was the best decision I made when picking a hair and makeup artist. She's obviously an absolute professional and magician when it comes to her craft - creating beautiful, timeless, classy looks for all events. Just look at all the individuals she's worked with, and you can see that she has a knack for bringing out the beauty in each of her clients. More than that, Drea is a delightful human to be around. You don't realize it but you spend the most amount of time with your HMUA during your wedding week. She is comforting, peaceful, positive, hilarious, an active listener, and everything you would want when you're naturally nervous or have to vent during your wedding week. Hair and makeup isn't just another thing you get to do at your wedding. It's an experience, and it's so important to choose someone who simply just gets it. Drea has a gift that is unmatched. In addition to making me feel at peace while getting ready, Drea was with me the whole time. From my sangeet through the entire wedding day into reception evening. She made sure my looks were also spot on, yes. She was with me right until I stepped out for my first look and made me feel so calm during the biggest day! More than that, she also helped me manage other pieces of my wedding - like logistics that weren't going as planned and helping my bridesmaids and family make sure they looked their best in between events. She essentially was a stand-in wedding planner for part of my events! Choosing Drea will be the best decision you make. No questions, just do it.
Choose Drea for ALL of your events! Her talent, passion, and unwavering dedication truly made all the difference, and my mom and I are beyond grateful for everything she did to ensure that we looked and felt our best on all of the days of my wedding week in Cabo. From the moment I met her, I knew that Drea was the perfect fit for us. Her warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, and her genuine excitement about being a part of our wedding journey was infectious. Every morning or afternoon before a wedding event, as I sat down in her chair, her calm and reassuring presence was like a breath of fresh air. I needed someone that would just know what look to create as I sat down in the chair every day and not have to worry about showing inspo pictures, Drea is your girl. She looks at you and knows EXACTLY what the look you need for the event and you just sit back and relax. She nailed it EVERY EVENT. She worked tirelessly to bring my vision to life. She also did my mom's looks, and my mom LOVED her makeup and hair at every event. Drea did the most subtle natural glam on her, even I was impressed. Her skill and artistry were nothing short of remarkable, and we were absolutely thrilled with the final result. But more than just her talent, it was her kindness and genuine care for our happiness that truly touched our hearts. Throughout the entire process, she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and pampered, ensuring that I enjoyed every moment of the experience. From offering words of encouragement to helping me stay calm and relaxed, Drea was so much more than just a makeup and hair artist - she was a true friend. I cannot thank her enough for her incredible talent, professionalism, and kindness. She played such a significant role in making our wedding day everything we had ever dreamed of, and we will forever cherish the memories of feeling absolutely radiant, thanks to her. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her by our side on our special day, and we will always be grateful for the beautiful work she did. I have been recommending Drea for the past week to so many future brides. BOOK HER ASAP because I promise you will not regret it at all!!
Really disappointed having to write this review but wedding planning is stressful so it's important that my review is public so that other brides can see my experience. I initially booked Drea after reading really good reviews about how she is empathetic, kind and easygoing; however, this was not my experience with her at all. I booked Drea for my wedding like 16 months in advance and had to postpone my wedding by 8 days due to my venue's availability. She said she was free on my new wedding date and as we had finally signed the contract, she emails me saying that she has a "family wedding" on my new wedding date and only refunds me half of my deposit. She blamed me that she couldn't find a bride for the old wedding date.... which is a year from now... Please note that this is all a year before the actual wedding date!!! My planner contacted her and tried to reason with her about the deposit and she was completely unapologetic for keeping half of the deposit, after she ended up cancelling on me for my new wedding date. Moral of the story, she's clearly good at what she does. But if you don't want additional stress with another vendor out of the several vendors that have to be managed in the wedding planning process, then she's not the one for you. She will put a lot of pressure on you (the bride) to sign the contract urgently even if you've connected your wedding planner with her as well. Securing vendors has gotten so hard because of the domino effect from COVID, and it's important that the people involved in your special day are empathetic and reasonable. Beware! Choose your makeup artist wisely. (I just want my story to be heard)
I can't even begin to say how grateful I am for Drea! She is the first vendor I booked for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I made. After my trial with her, I knew I made the right decision. She's so very responsive and her attention to detail is impeccable. She helped me pick my looks and made me look beautiful. So many people complimented my hair and makeup because Drea accentuates your natural beauty. I felt gorgeous and confident in all my looks and now looking back at my pictures, I'm still in awe of how well my looks translated and it is honestly all due to Drea. Despite dancing for hours, my makeup still looked as fresh as it did when Drea applied it. She continued to go above and beyond for my mom and me. She took such great care of us and put us all at ease, even when it got chaotic. Drea is so hardworking, talented and just freaking amazing. She doesn't judge you and works with you to come up with a look that you will love. If you have any doubts, don't. Drea is worth every single penny. Trust me, book her, you will regret it at not all! If I ever have an event and need a hair and makeup artist and Drea is free, she's the one I will book, no questions asked!
This review is 2 years delayed but just a testament of Drea's aura that after my one and only acquaintance with her, I've never stopped thinking about how she made me feel and will forever root for her success! I'm from Dallas but was visiting LA and decided to book a maternity shoot while there. After reaching out to a few MUA for a last minute sesh with no luck, my sis in law connected me to Drea who had done her wedding several yrs back. Drea was quick to respond, and squeezed me in last minute. She met me early morning at the photographer's studio, got me ready, and slayed my looks of course. But what stays with me after all this time is the way she was so calming and supportive. Before the photographer got there I was nervous. She was a high profile celebrity photographer and I have no experience in front of the camera. Drea helped build my confidence and stuck around until the photographer got there so I wouldn't have to face her alone. The photographer was absolutely lovely but quiet. Drea stuck around some more to help me change in and out of my outfits. She touched up my makeup, redid my hair for the different outfits and was my hype woman through the whole shoot! She didn't have to do that. Our agreement was she'd do my hair and makeup then leave and I'd be by myself changing into my outfits but I was also very pregnant and I'm just so grateful she stuck around to help. The shoot went by smoother and faster because she was there. Not only that but the studio was somewhere downtown in what looked like a run down warehouse building. After the shoot was over, the photographer left right away. I still had to pack all my clothes and get down a few flights of stairs and Uber back. Drea helped me pack up, carried her stuff down and helped me with mine, made sure my Uber arrived and that I got into the car before she left to walk to her car. I will never forget that gesture. She's not only a professional but a girl's girl. She went the extra mile and helped me so much that day. I will forever adore her.
So happy Drea was available to do my hair & makeup for my court wedding. She does an amazing job! You can give her ideas or inspo pictures to recreate & she really will make you feel & look beautiful. She is good at keeping contact & replying timely to organize meet times, etc. I would not hesitate to have drea do my hair & makeup for events/photos!
There are not really words to describe how grateful I am to Drea for everything she did for me before, during and after my wedding. She was the first vendor I booked after we finalized our venue. When we had to reschedule due to COVID, I chose a date after ensuring she was available. As someone with very little make-up knowledge, I needed someone I could put all my trust into. I had heard such amazing things and seen her work, and I knew she was the makeup artist for me. Drea helped guide me from the very first day we communicated. She was so responsive, non-judgmental, and helped me pick the right style for each of my events to make them distinct. Because of COVID and the fact that I moved from LA to NY before the wedding, we never got a chance to actually meet in person or have a make-up trial, despite being in communication for 2.5 years. I truly wasn't worried about it at all - Drea's work speaks for itself. When I met her for the first time at our hotel venue I ran and gave her a hug - it felt like we had known each other for years even though we had never met before. At the wedding, each and every look was put together flawlessly for me and my Mom. Our make-up did not BUDGE despite being in the Cancún heat. She even helped fix up my husband's hair before each event! Before the wedding ceremony, I had my bridesmaids go down to enjoy the Baraat, so Drea kept me company while I practiced my vows and she kept me so calm. She even helped put together an on-the-fly look for our afterparty and did face-paint for our guests! Drea is so humble, hardworking and talented. I will forever be grateful to her and our friendship. Drea, I can't wait to enjoy some room-service french fries again very soon!
Oh man where do I begin with this woman? I was in the wedding industry a few years ago so I may be bias here but when I had my first event of 2022 Drea was the first person I called. I booked her for 9 out of 10 events and the only reason why I couldn't get the 10th event was my own fault. Indian Weddings are crazy, hectic, and very stressful, Drea is the calm in the storm of a wedding frenzy. She really knows what she is doing in all aspects of her job. It not just about Hair and Makeup for her, it's about making a client feel the best she / he / they / them can feel. I'm not a huge makeup fan, I don't wear it every day or anything like that. But made sure I always looked like the best version of myself. There is no one out there like her and her team. The week of my wedding my mom didn't like her makeup (done by a different artist) and the girls from Drea's team calmed her down re-did her makeup to her liking and really walked my mom through how to take care of her makeup while wearing it. We ended up adding my mom on to Drea's team and they handled everything like champs, making sure everyone was comfortable in their looks. And Drea, we had 9 looks over the span of a year, my original date was scheduled to be in October but when I reached out to her for the dates she wasn't available so I gave her my backup dates and the only one she was available for was December... So naturally I booked her for those dates AND THEN booked my Venue and other vendors, that's how much I wanted Drea to do my hair & makeup. She is the most gentlest, kindest, sweetest, most compassionate person you will ever meet. She takes away the stress and nerves of the day and she talks to you like she has known you, your whole life, and there just aren't enough word to convey my gratitude to this woman. You wont regret your decision on booking with Drea, not now, not ever! I love you woman!
I know this is beyond late - but better late than never!! Over the course of five different wedding events, Drea demonstrated her incredible skill and dedication to her craft. She was able to create a unique and stunning look for me each time, which is no small feat! Her attention to detail and ability to bring out your natural beauty is truly impressive. But beyond her exceptional talent as a makeup artist, Drea also proved to be an absolute pleasure to work with. Her warm and friendly personality made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process (especially with how picky I was!). And when it came to any last-minute touch-ups or adjustments, Drea was always there to ensure that I looked my absolute best. In short, there is no one better than Drea. Her talent, professionalism, and overall kindness make her an absolute rockstar in the makeup industry. I was extremely grateful to have her by my side for such an important occasion. Drea, if you're reading this, no amount of words will ever be enough to say how much I appreciate you and thank you for everything you did for me that week. Your work speaks for itself, but your kindness and dedication to your craft are what truly set you apart. Your attention to detail, her willingness to go above and beyond, and your kind and caring personality make you an absolute gem in the industry. If you are looking for a makeup artist who will exceed your expectations and make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself, look no further than Drea. LOVE YOU! Much love, Sonam Shah
I'm not surprised to see so many 5 star reviews for Drea - she was the best decision I made during my wedding planning process. I may have picked my wedding date based on her availability lol. Drea got me ready for all 5 of my events and made the whole process so so enjoyable. As a bride, you spend a bulk of your wedding getting hair and makeup, and Drea is the perfect person to spend it with. As an artist and professional, she is amazing at what she does. She took time beforehand to discuss my looks and vision with me, and gave me ideas. Ultimately I trusted her to pick most of my looks and I'm so glad I did because I felt so pretty and amazing all weekend. She is truly an artist and so good at what she does. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup and loved how I still felt/looked like myself. She listened to me and considered my comfort level when it comes to makeup. As a human, Drea is also incredible. She's enjoyable to hangout with and really calms your nerves and listens if you need to vent. Her vibe is so soothing, yet fun and uplifting. She hyped me up and checked in on me through events. I miss my wedding including hanging out w Drea. Don't think twice, book Drea!! Her team also did an amazing job with my mom and sister, along with other family and bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair and makeup!
Drea is an actual DREAm. She really is the best make up and hair artist to ever exist and I will try my best to put into words why. She will ensure you feel so beautiful during your entire wedding weekend (especially after I felt so off with prior professional makeup artists -- she has single handedly now made me want professional makeup any and every chance I get). She has a calming presence about her that naturally comes out from her confidence in her own skill and there's a reason why I changed my entire wedding date FOR Drea. She listens to what I like and what vibe I wanted for each event but she also used her professional expertise to pipe in when there were other ideas she had. And out of all the moments in life, a wedding is truly the event where you want to feel THE best and she single handedly made me feel even MORE excited to get married than I already was just based off of how flawless her magic turned out on me. I will forever be obsessed with my wedding look because of Drea. I looked and felt like myself but with Gucci and Louis eye bags instead of my 45minutes worth of sleep eye bags. Thankful for her for making me feel confident and bridalIn addition to how incredible her talent is, her full experience is chef's kiss. This includes her pep talks, vibey music, and her big heart. I really felt like I was just having girl talk with my friend the entire time. I obviously knew how talented Drea was but I did not expect to deeply connect with her personality as much as I did. I just really like her as a person and her real/rawness is very refreshing. She is the best hype woman to have on your wedding week because she really has your back with your hair+makeup and beyond. TLDR: Drea is the single best decision you can make for your wedding. THANK you again Drea for blessing me with the full bridal experience. I am forever grateful that I got to be a DreaV Bride No one truly does it better.
If you are a Bride considering using Drea for your big day - stop looking at other hair and makeup artists and just book her. She is AMAZING. I booked her I think a year in advance just because she was the only person I wanted doing my hair and makeup. This review is overdue - I had booked Drea for my wedding which was in April 2023. It was an Indian wedding, so there were 3 hair and makeup looks that were needed for me; hair and makeup for my mom, sister, and mother in law for 3 looks; and then hair and makeup for 8 bridesmaids on the wedding day. Indian weddings are absolute hurricanes, and mine was no different. But Drea was the calming presence in the middle of the storm that kept me sane. There was drama on my wedding day with my mother in law on the mandap during my pheras, and I came back to my room after the ceremony close to crying. Drea helped calm me down, and I can say with 100% certainty that if she wasn't there, I would have been a hot mess during the reception. She is so good and reading energy levels - I went from angry to close to crying and wasn't even facing her in the chair, and she asked me if I was okay. I was shocked - she's that in tune with Brides where she'll know if your energy level shifts. And she'll talk you down and bring you back to a happy place. You NEED this on your wedding day. You need a friend that will be in your corner no matter what, and that was Drea. She had me pumped up, looking like a superstar, and ready for the reception in 2 hours. On the wedding day, Drea was at my door at 3:30AM (yes you read that correct, in the morning) sharp. She was so professional and punctual, and is just the person you'd want to spend your morning getting ready with (I was on 1 hour of sleep, and Drea was just the presence I needed). During my hair and makeup trials, I came with 5 pieces of jewelry for my head, and Drea helped me picked what would look best and work best with my face structure. I would have definitely overdone it if it wasn't for her. For the wedding weekend, I came with looks from Pinterest as examples for what I would want, and Drea was really professional in giving inputs on what she thought would work best for me and what wouldn't - I trusted her judgements completely. And then obviously, she executed to perfection. Drea's team is also super professional and caring - they had to do hair and makeup for a lot of people, and every single person looked amazing. They put up with my MIL (who complained about her looks and kept wanting to change them), and made her look stunning while still maintaining their professionalism. I was in love with all of my looks, and each one was completely different from each other. Drea crushed them all, even putting in flower pins into my braid for the Sangeet. Drea is also a master at pinning - she had my dupattas pleated and pinned to perfection. Nothing moved or fell off on any of the days. And my hair and makeup lasted throughout each event. I am so grateful that I found Drea and that she did my hair and makeup on the biggest day of my life. Thanks again Drea, you are a lifesaver and the absolute BEST.
I feel lucky enough to have had Drea as my makeup artist for my wedding weekend in October 2021. I am someone who isn't really into make up, and always prefers a natural look. I also have dark brown skin so I wanted to make sure I found someone who could do make up for my skin without a whitecast. Drea was the the best investment I made for my wedding. She made sure I had a natural look, but made me standout as a bride. She listened to my requests and always asked for feedback to make sure I was happy with the direction she is going. She was very professional and made me feel so relaxed for each of my events. She makes sure to hire the best team and best of all, my (picky) Indian mom loved her. She also knows the Indian culture so well, she knows how all the jewelry works and she knows how to pleat and drape Indian clothes. Lastly, she is such a kind hearted soul who makes you feel so calm and collected, even at 4am when she is driving over to get your ready. I can't recommend her enough. Book her and you will not regret it!!

The amount of comments I got on my makeup were endless and I wish she was there to hear them all. She made me feel so beautiful on such an important day of my life.
