People are very athletic here and that's encouraging. Yes sometimes the men's locker room is stinky during rush hour and its okay cuz i'll go first thing in the morning and i notice they have a nightly cleaner. Overall, the ambiance is great with appropriate background music. The only issues ever have been the dauna that broke down a couple months ago but that usually is common in high volume gyms, especially when the heater is abused. This is a tourist/transient town so im sure it's not the regulars that mistreat it. The sauna was really hot yesterday especially for its large size. I love the fact that there's a water bucket and ladle to keep the experience prime. Last Sunday sucked though because apparently they closed an hour earlier than their posted schedule. It's understandable as i do know they are looking for a new manager, says the ad they posted. I believe they'll get a solid manager soon maybe one that can help with both locations as i frequent the one in Incline way more. Thats a great location as well. Hardly ever any issues. The owners do great with both and i'm excited to see who the new manger is.

The owner has been heavily harassing clients (including myself). Today he came up to me in the middle of my workout, after I had just gotten there, and began aggresively screaming at me for not picking up SOMEONE ELSE's weights. I had multiple people come up to me after saying that he had behaved the same towards them. This went way beyond un-professional and was actually pretty horrifying behavior that I guess happens regularly.

Some of my frustrations are that these serious people tend to hog the equipment with no regard for others who are waiting to use the same equipment, many times they sit on their phones and not even use the equipment. It would be helpful to have some general signage that limits the time people have on each piece of equipment . Also it would be helpful if some of the staff members would be around to help with some of the equipment . For example , the treadmill seems very daunting to me and I have yet to figure it out . Part of that is on me for not searching out a staff member but if there was a little more instructions posted other than what the treadmill instructions are on the equipment would be most helpful . LOVED it. Longer review for those with time to read :) I have been dying to find a place like this near me and stumbled upon it while on vacation. I was visiting North Star with friends and as a group fitness junkie, I signed up for the week-long pass at TMF. I was welcomed warmly by Holly, the co-owner. She gave me the perfect little orientation with zero sales pitch, made me feel right at home, and then she jumped right into teach our class. I took Lower Body Strength, Body Pump, HITT and Core Strength over a few days and wished I could stay longer to try more, including the immersive spin class (think spin bikes in front of a movie screen - how cool). I also did a body composition analysis with Holly and wish I had time to use the infrared sauna. Virginia and Holly taught the classes I took. I really appreciate how much time Virginia spent with me to ensure I was lifting properly during HIIT (which was awesome and challenging!). Everyone was super friendly, including the class regulars. It can be intimidating to walk into a new gym and try to merge into group fitness, but everyone made me feel right at home. I will go back every time I'm in North Lake Tahoe.

I exercise regularly, but their classes are just next level. Feel like a beast coming out of body pump and body combat classes. Makes me feel like I have been working out wrong this whole time?! Class type diversity is awesome - also have Barre, boxing, cycling and strength training. Location super convenient. Highly recommend!
