History
Established in 2025.
Studio Truckee was formerly Alpenflow Yoga.
The studio first opened its doors in 2010 as Yoga Studio Tahoe. In 2018, ownership passed to Mike, who renamed it Alpenflow and continued to nurture its growth. In 2025, Amanda became the new owner and reopened the space as Studio Truckee—honoring its roots while stepping into a new chapter of yoga and movement in the Sierra. Many members of our community have practiced here since the beginning, and we’re grateful to continue that legacy.
Meet the Business Owner: Amanda D.
Amanda is a lifelong student of yoga with a deep respect for the practice. Her foundational training was through YogaWorks in San Francisco, a method that blends the structure of Iyengar and the movement of Ashtanga into an alignment-based flow. Over the years, she has expanded her practice through studies in Pranayama, Vipassana meditation, Anusara principles, Yin and Restorative, and remains committed to this practice. Amanda is an RYT-500 teacher and longtime practitioner, shaped by the guidance of teachers including Erica Trice, Nikki Estrada, Maritza, and Tara Brach. She has also studied with renowned instructors such as Jason Crandell, Rod Stryker, Stephanie Snyder, and Tias Little. She’s honored to carry forward the spirit of this space (formerly Alpenflow) as the new owner of Studio Truckee—offering a thoughtful, well-rounded schedule of classes and performing her duties as the new custodian.
