DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. If i could give this excursion NEGATIVE stars i would. We were told this trip would be from 7Am-7:30PM. HUGE LIE. We were picked up at 6:50Am and didn't get home till 12:03PM. Each destination we were forced to purchase something. The lunch was disgusting!! they gave us food that had flies all over , chicken was un cleaned. A small lunch for an excursion that last more than 12 hours ! Water was leaking from the roof of the charter bus on to passengers. Not to mention the charter bus was extremely hot!! They had us walking in dark alleys at night instead of driving us to our destination. Women beware!!! They dropped multiple women off in the middle of the street expecting them to walk the rest of their way to the hotels. They had nasty attitudes the whole time! no empathy at all, just MONEY HUNGRY!

This is Vladimir the supposed"tour guide" who tried to swindle every dime out of ALL tourists on this bus.

WORST TOUR EXPERIENCE EVER EXPERIENCED I wish I could give them NO stars A. 7/8/19 7:08AM show up at ick up point. No one shows up to get us. After numerous phone calls, was asked to go to a different pick up point. After paying $10 or a taxi, I got to the new spot, only to find they had already left. B. 7/9/19 7:00AM Waiting at same pick-up point as the day before; Bus was 40 minutes late. 8:00 boarded bus drove 20 minutes before they made everyone wait about 1/2 an hour before we had to get off the bus and on to another one that was coming rom Cancun. Then they tried to charge extra Insted of the honoring the original price. I had to argue with the "guide" and refused to pay the additional charges. Finally, they honored the original price. C. 9:00AM finally head out to our destination...we stopped at Vallladolid MX and they pushed the sale of Mayan calendars on us, we were there for 20 minutes. D. 12:00 we head out to lunch ...we arrived Dzitas Yuctan,MX at 1:10PM...we spent 20 minutes getting us to speak to a "shaman" a.k.a a man with a fist-full of leaves sprinkling eveyone with water and handing out mysticall rocks...which were for sale some over $800!! E. Then they herd us over to the gift shop to entice us to buy mystical rocks and jewelry. Then they guide us over to the dining area. They took pictures of every family in groups....and then proceeded to walk us over to where they sell tequila. Finally, ate around 1:45PM!! We were asked to rush through lunch and boarded the bus again, however, now there's a guy trying to sell us a liquor and the bottles have pitures of each of the famiies from our bus. F. 3:30PM . Finally, arrive at Chichen Itza (which closes at 4PM) and it starts pouring rain and thundering...our female guide gave us some information (in the pouring rain and thunder/lightning) and then abandoned the tour an ran back to the bus and told all of us the bus wouldn't be open to us until 5:20PM. We were left wait in the storm with lightning and thunder over oue heads. G. We were taken to the cenote and were the last bus there and we were only given 40 minutes to swim and take picturess and explore before we were asked to et out ofthe water because the us was leaving. Had they brought us to our destination directly, instead of driving me to every hole in Valladolid Yucatan trying to swindle me out of my money; I would have been able to enjoy what I actually paid for. I basically felt I was kidnapped and robbed of my hard-earned money, legally. I will NEVER visit Mexico again and anyone who is thinking of visiting Mexico, I encourage you to change your plans. They are very money hungry and everywhere you turn they will try to overcharge you or swindle you out of your hard-earned money! It's disgusting what they're doing to tourists.

We've had 3 trips with Dreams Tours throughout our stay in Cancun. Part of it is our fault trying to budget like students, and save money by avoiding going through our great hotel. The first tour was to Chichen Itza, and forgetting about long delays and the refusal to give any customer a receipt, the bus was laden with bed bugs. When we complained about the bugs after the fact we were ensured this was only for this one tour, and that the other tours are on bed bug free buses. We wound up purchasing a package of another 2 tours - one to XCaret and one to Tullum as we were told buying two tours would be the most cost feasible for us. While the first tour arrived to XCaret 3 hours late, the second tour never happened. We waited in the lobby at 6 AM as instructed. At 7 we had the concierge call Dreams Tours who said we should wait, and they'll pick us up in 10 minutes. At 8, the concierge called again and Dreams Tours said they're not coming. We went to the business office (the picture attached here). They said the issue was that even though they had accepted the money we paid to them, the agent did not pay them enough money for the tour so they keep all the money and we can't go on the tour despite our paying them $280 USD. They told us to go to the stand where we purchased the ticket. As they do business with the stand all the time, they assured us it was all okay and they would take care of it. The stand sent us back to the Dreams Tours headquarters, who sent us back to the stand. The second time we went to the stand, and said this was tantamount to stealing and we would file a police report. It was at this point that we were threatened and told by a very volatile gentleman he is "connected to gangs," and knows our hotel room number because we had to disclose the room # when we booked our ticket. The hotel wound up having to implement additional secuurity during our stay. Dreams Tours then said these men they have on the streets in the hotel district are not their responsibility even though they only sell tours for Dreams Tours, and Dreams Tours exchanges thousands of dollars with them on a day to day business. We were only told these people are "thugs," and to just let it go and accept our loss for our safety. The police officer we met with informed us companies like Dreams Tours sometimes take money from tourists, but don't provide the tour as a way of increasing profits. However, we could have the situation is fixed by showing him our receipt. Our receipt read only that it was paid in full referencing receipt one, and supposed to leave on 8/30. We needed a receipt to show us how much we paid - the first receipt showing we paid $280. The issue is in order to go on any trip with Dreams Tours you must turn over your receipt after you pay, and cannot even take a picture of it (in hindsight, you should and must take a picture before hand). Dreams Tours issues you no new receipt, and we were told the receipts are kept in a safe on the second floor and only the owner has a key. Of course, the owner is never in. Basically, there's no way to get the receipt. Why would a business possibly put the receipts in a safe no one can access unless they're intending to defraud the customers? So we lost our money, there was no tour and our safety was threatened. This is Dreams Tours. I'm sure other people will be on to share similar experiences, and maybe we could all band together to warn future tourists about them. This is a threat to all tourists of all creeds from all countries.

Dreams tours, what can I say I bought ATVs with and it was the worse expensive I have ever had, they schedule my pick at 6:50 am,got pick up at 7:30am on a van from there got transferred to a bus, got taken to a meeting point we waited there until 10:30am no one game answers to why we were waiting long story short did not get to the activities until 12noon. 2:30 hrs of activities we waisted our whole day. From 6:30 to 5 pm just for two hrs of activities not recommend at all. The worse company to do tours with.

The guy who sold us the tour tickets.

We went on several great trips during our stay in Cancun, which included: Xcaret Plus, Sea Trek Encuentro Con mayas Xcaret, TiBurones Aventura Interactiva Xcaret, and Cena Gran TLaChao Xcaret. Each trip deserves a review of it's own. So I'll just say here, that this is THE place to schedule your tours. We got personal service from beginning to end. They made all the planning arrangements to pick us up from our hotel, transportation to our chosen theme parks, complete with guides & maps, and of course getting us back safely to our hotel again. We stayed in the small building this time. There's also two ocean sides: rocky (near beach volleyball is played and good for collecting shells) and non-rocky side (water is clear and great for body surfing). There is a spa and gym on-site. Multiple pools and bars. Pros: Gorgeous ocean views. Great hotel layout with lots of palm trees. Very clean. Rooms were spacious. Bed was comfy. The mini fridge was packed with water bottles, pop, and beer. I had a balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean, which I loved. Staff are very nice. Band/singer that plays before the show were great. Food was good. Good selection of food options. Good selection of restaurant options. Busses take people to the RIU Caribe. There is a discotech that opens after the evening's show. Restaurants work on a beeper system since they do not take reservations. Did eventually get my room. While they had activities (listed on app), not all of them were played/hard to find. If it's super windy out, the elevators don't go pass floor 2 in the small building. You have to use the stairs. We came on a windy day and one of the workers allowed us to use the service elevator because we didn't want to lug our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Can hear your neighbors upstairs and can hear people out in the hall. Overall, we had a great time!

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. I had the pleasure of meeting Eduardo, who I'm assuming manages The Den. He recommended that rather than continuing to order individual drinks, I purchase a bottle that I could keep there and enjoy at my convenience throughout the stay. For us, it ended up being a much better value. More importantly, Eduardo was incredibly down to earth and genuinely seemed to take ownership of the experience at The Den. He made sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and enjoying our time there. That was actually what stood out most to me about this place. The cocktails are excellent, but I probably enjoyed the conversations with the staff even more. Eduardo shared his perspective on the differences between Cancún and the area near Mexico City where his family is from. I also had a great conversation with Jorge, who is from Oaxaca, and with the gentleman who made my cocktails throughout the stay -- unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he did an excellent job. The Den itself has a completely different feel from the busier areas of the resort. It's quiet, comfortable, and a great place to get away for a little while. There's something nice about sitting down, having a well-made cocktail, and actually being able to have a conversation with the people behind the bar. It's also a perfect stop before dinner. Come down a little early, have a cocktail, relax, and then head to your reservation. If you're heading back to the pool, they'll even put your drink in a plastic cup so you can take it with you. Definitely a 5-star experience for me. Great cocktails, a relaxed atmosphere, and, most importantly, genuinely great people. Eduardo and the team made The Den feel less like another resort bar and more like a place you actually wanted to come back to. Strongly recommend stopping in during your stay.

We spent a week at Hyatt Ziva Cancun celebrating my MIL's retirement with a group of 16.5…read morepeople--the .5 being our 8-month-old . We had an AMAZING vacation, but separating how much fun we had as a group from the resort itself, the resort was just okay for us. CHECK-IN/ROOM: Check-in was mostly smooth, although as UVC members they "upgraded" us from the ocean-view room I specifically chose to ocean front without asking. I care literally not at all about scenic views , so I would've preferred what I booked. The $12 bracelet room keys were convenient WHEN they worked. More than half our group had issues with bracelets/cards needing resets. Our Pyramid room was quiet and comfortable but dated. Our biggest issue was the crib. Despite requesting it before arrival and multiple times after check-in, it took hours. Eventually our concierge discovered it kept being sent to our originally booked room instead of our "upgraded" room. PROPERTY: Convenient layout, nice pools and beautiful water. Generally stroller-friendly, although elevators occasionally wouldn't go to our floor, leaving us carrying a baby AND stroller down stairs. FOOD: Our biggest disappointment--maybe 4/10. My family is full of foodies, and most things weren't bad quality, just bland and under-seasoned. La Bastille and Chevy's were our favorites, with Tradewinds' chimichurri getting an honorable mention. Dinner service was DREADFULLY slow. Two-hour dinners were common even with only 2-3 people. On the positive side, we rarely waited long to be seated, and Carla from Lorenzo's was wonderful helping accommodate our large group. Room service was fine, but dirty trays and half-eaten food constantly sitting in hallways and attracting animals wasn't my favorite. DRINKS: We had some professional drinkers , and overall drinks were good. Ariel and Guillermo at the swim-up bar were fantastic--funny, attentive and personable. They remembered us AND Cooper's little non-alcoholic drink order. Ariel even made us a shot that took literally 10 minutes and it was SO good. CABANA 5: Possibly the BEST decision of the trip. We rented it for six days. It's across from the swim-up bar but far enough away to avoid the crowd. The tanning pad was perfect for Cooper to "walk" through the water and for our floating card table/drinking games. With 16.5 people, the cabana became our home base and genuinely made the trip easier. Immanuel and Angel were our butlers. Immanuel was sweet but sometimes disappeared for long periods. Angel was AMAZING--fast, attentive and so sweet. They brought food/drinks and even grabbed food from the nearby Asian food truck. We had an issue with the included cabana facials and an employee repeatedly trying to determine who could use ours and when. Carlos, a manager, handled it wonderfully once we brought it to his attention, and Hugo was great about working around Cooper's naps. BABY: Traveling with our 8-month-old was easier than expected! Every restaurant had high chairs and usually something soft enough for him. Walkways were mostly stroller-accessible and many were shaded. Staff were SO sweet with him. We brought a sleep pod over his crib for naps, which I highly recommend if your baby needs darkness. SPA: Most of our group used it and everyone enjoyed it. My husband and I did 50-minute massages and the fish pedicure and loved both, plus the spa facilities. CLUB LEVEL: Included through UVC, so of course worth it for us . If paying substantially extra? Probably not. We enjoyed playing pool there at night, upgraded liquor and extra food options, but I personally wouldn't pay a large premium. ENTERTAINMENT: We planned most of our own activities, but played 11 a.m. volleyball religiously and OSCAR IS THE BEST! Hilarious, personable and SO much fun. Anything he was involved with around the pool seemed like a good time. SALES PRESENTATIONS: A few non-members were offered Leisure Cash for what they were told was approximately a 50-minute presentation. FOUR HOURS LATER, they were still there. If you attend one, do NOT make plans based on the quoted time. That huge difference left a bad taste in our mouths. WOULD WE RETURN? Honestly, probably not. That doesn't mean we had a bad vacation--we had an AMAZING time. But that had more to do with our group, the memories and some wonderful staff than the resort itself. There wasn't one catastrophic problem; it was an accumulation of dated areas, key/elevator issues, mediocre food, slow dinners, the crib mix-up and sales experience. For roughly the same price--or sometimes a little more--I think other resorts offer more, are newer/better maintained and have better food. Hyatt Ziva Cancun isn't a bad resort, and I can see why some families love it. It just wasn't the right resort for us to want to return to.

I've attached pictures to show the inside of the room I stayed in. The room overlooks the alligator lake, which I found it to be nice. Don't worry, no alligators will come after you. But, if you're lucky enough you might be able to spot a few here and there. The room had a kitchenette (full oven/fridge), a decent size bathroom, a dining area in the first part of the room. As you walk to the second section of the room, you find the bed, bay windows, couple chairs and a table. Also there was a sofa bed. The bed is ok, good enough for a nights rest after walking the beach. The hotel is situated right next to shops restaurants, bars and everything else. COCO BONGO is a five minute walk away. Before I forget, there is plenty of dishes in the kitchen in case you felt the need to cook. This place is amazing because it's literally across the street from CHEDRAUI SELECTO (upscale walmart). You want to stop here to stock up on goodies and souvenirs before heading back home. You have dollar beers, wine coolers, and other alcoholic drinks. They sell everything you need here! DO NOT AND I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY SOUVENIRS anywhere else as they are all the same out on the street only the markup is 3/4 times more then this store. So save yourself money and buy whatever you need here. Before heading out to Cancun I too, did some reading and ended up visiting the MERCADO 28 (market28). DO NOT GO HERE! This place used to once be a locals open air market and now it has turned into a market for tourists only. EVERYTHING here is overpriced, even the food! DO NOT GO HERE. Now to the good parts of the trip... You can visit PLAYA MARLIN, to enjoy a day at the beach. Once there you can rent your own umbrella and chairs for $200/300 for the whole day. You will enjoy crystal clear blue beaches there. You can take the R1 bus anywhere in the hotel zone for $10 pesos (.50american cents) one way.

This was better than I expected. Its not beachside, it's not plush , and it's not new. If you…read morecan look past that, it's a pretty good stay. Its the closest hotel to the clubs, a few blocks from beach access, restaraunts, grocery storea and tours. The staff was very helpful whenever we asked for help. The hotel restaraunt was somewhat cheap and had good food. I would stay here again. One terrible thing is the showers though. Clean, but the jet spray coming out of it is harsh.
