If you do not speak SPANISH, DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! It was $85.00 to Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladoid. They picked us up at the RIU Cancun with a van and took us to a warehouse and made us wait for 45 minutes. Then put us in an older tour bus and spoke zero English to us. Although 1/3 of the bus only spoke English. We kept asking him to tell us what was happening in English, but he couldn't. We spent too much time at the other two places and not enough time at Chichen Itza. The tour guide was on his phone on the way back, listening to videos and social media. He was extremely rude. He was also playing his own music from his phone on the blue tooth speaker. The tour guide's name was Alejandro. When they dropped us off he let out a big scream as if too say -he was so happy that we were finally off of the bus. Do not use Dream Tours! read more

I went to chichen itza from Playa. First off, before you get on the bus, you are required to give $5 US for a cenote. If you don't have change, which i did not, they want your money. They tell you you'll get change, but they have no intention to give it back. So $5 was stolen from the start. Yes stolen. They aren't giving it back. When they are asked again for change, the answer is "no preocupas". The $5 is some bait and switch deal. I booked and paid for a inclusive trip, the cenote was mentioned in that trip, but once you are at the bus things change. Pago más. Fact #1. The bus is old and not a first class bus as told up front. The bus was advertised as air conditioned and with bathrooms. The bus is neither. The air doesn't work well. It's extremely hot. No bathrooms. And no bathroom stops. The bus is slow. Every other bus line passed us both up and back, so much so, that the other bus lines were pulling into the oncoming lane just to get by us. Having other busses pulling into oncoming traffic lane is a safety issue. Just look at the oncoming traffic and there are close calls. This bus is that slow! Fact #2. The tour guide descriptions are only in Spanish. The only time they speak in English is to give directions about getting on and off the bus. I was told the drivers are bilingual and there would be tour background in both Spanish and English, but that doesn't happen. Fact #3. The lunch is good. The cenote is good. Chichen Itza is good. All these places are mostly outside the control of the tour, and that is such a wonderful thing. Fact #4. I got too much sun. I explained this to the tour guide, and advised that i was feeling sentire poco malo. I asked if the tour guides would help me and allow me to sit up front where it was slightly cooler. Please help! No is the answer. When pressed, the further directive is sit in the back, shutup, or we put you on the curb and you get your own taxi back. Yes this issue is all my fault, as they told me, but do you get any help? None. This is your fault! If you get sick on this bus, that's all on you. You will not receive any help. Fact #5. There is a transfer to a local van. That van took about 1 hour 30 minutes to drive all over Playa before they dropped me off. They didn't even get me fully back. They stopped at 10 y 2 instead of 10 y 6. So what, I'll walk! They spent over 30 minutes trying to find the drop off location for just 2 strange people. So i got back so late that everything in town was closing. Fact #6. I don't write opinion reviews. I write factual reviews. I'll leave the opinion to you. My rating is actually 0 stars, not 1 star. Please heed my warning this company is not a reputable company. The package that was promised all inclusive which was not what we got. We where told to be ready at 7:30am The transportation that picked us up from our hotel in mini van was 1 hour late and then the driver parked us on a hill and got out of the vehicle without setting the parking brake. We rolled away until he jumped in and hit the brakes. Then we where taken to the netting location to get on bus. It was a decrepitude vehicle very hot inside and uncomfortable. Then ever stop was at a location to try to get you to purchase more crap. They finally gave us some food at 4:30pm about 9 hrs later we where starving by then. The food wasn't very good either. Supposedly our guide, Mario could speak English but he did NOT! 12 hours of not being able to understand a word he said. It was horrible. And because of that we never got anything to eat. Apparently he was supposed to tell us where to get it but neither showed us or actually told us where it was. We were starving. We were picked up at 6:50Am and didn't get home till 12:03PM. Each destination we were forced to purchase something. The lunch was disgusting!! they gave us food that had flies all over , chicken was un cleaned. A small lunch for an excursion that last more than 12 hours ! Water was leaking from the roof of the charter bus on to passengers. Not to mention the charter bus was extremely hot!! They had us walking in dark alleys at night instead of driving us to our destination. Women beware!!! After numerous phone calls, was asked to go to a different pick up point. After paying $10 or a taxi, I got to the new spot, only to find they had already left. B. 7/9/19 7:00AM Waiting at same pick-up point as the day before; Bus was 40 minutes late. 8:00 boarded bus drove 20 minutes before they made everyone wait about 1/2 an hour before we had to get off the bus and on to another one that was coming rom Cancun. Then they tried to charge extra Insted of the honoring the original price. I had to argue with the "guide" and refused to pay the additional charges. Finally, they honored the original price. C. 9:00AM finally head out to our destination...we stopped at Vallladolid MX and they pushed the sale of Mayan calendars on us, we were there for 20 minutes. D. 12:00 we head out to lunch ...we arrived Dzitas Yuctan,MX at 1:10PM...we spent 20 minutes getting us to speak to a "shaman" a.k.a a man with a fist-full of leaves sprinkling eveyone with water and handing out mysticall rocks...which were for sale some over $800!! E. Then they herd us over to the gift shop to entice us to buy mystical rocks and jewelry. Then they guide us over to the dining area. They took pictures of every family in groups....and then proceeded to walk us over to where they sell tequila. Finally, ate around 1:45PM!! We were asked to rush through lunch and boarded the bus again, however, now there's a guy trying to sell us a liquor and the bottles have pitures of each of the famiies from our bus. F. 3:30PM . Finally, arrive at Chichen Itza (which closes at 4PM) and it starts pouring rain and thundering...our female guide gave us some information (in the pouring rain and thunder/lightning) and then abandoned the tour an ran back to the bus and told all of us the bus wouldn't be open to us until 5:20PM. We were left wait in the storm with lightning and thunder over oue heads. G. We were taken to the cenote and were the last bus there and we were only given 40 minutes to swim and take picturess and explore before we were asked to et out ofthe water because the us was leaving. Had they brought us to our destination directly, instead of driving me to every hole in Valladolid Yucatan trying to swindle me out of my money; I would have been able to enjoy what I actually paid for. I basically felt I was kidnapped and robbed of my hard-earned money, legally. I will NEVER visit Mexico again and anyone who is thinking of visiting Mexico, I encourage you to change your plans. Then you get on a very trashy bus to go to the excursion. We made it to Explor and had a great time but the bus did not come back to pick us up. this trip to Cenote, Valladolid and Chichen Itza was the worst tour I have had in Cancun, these tour guides are super rude, when you get on the bus it is nicely air conditioned, they turn the air down right after everyone is on and tell you that it has to do with the weather outside affecting the air conditioner (weather outside has not changed since pick up) they pick you up late, they offer a buffet which is suppose to be 1 hour long, 15 min later they tell you "let's go" not caring if you are in the middle of your meal, everything with them was rush rush, the bus had a bathroom but no toilet tissue and the guide had an attitude when we asked him for toilet tissue, they were about to leave a passenger even though they seen him running towards the bus, they only waited because everyone on the bus told them how wrong it was to leave him behind, they do not care about their passengers at all, we had an elderly man on the bus and it was extremely hot outside so the elderly man asked if he could please stay on the bus when we got off to Cenote and their response was "yes, but don't think we are going to leave the air on for you" they picked us up at the hotel lobby but since the tour guide was mad that no one tipped him he dropped everyone off at a "spot" and told us to walk to our hotels and laughed sarcastically about it, the tour guide tells you not to purchase from outside vendors at Chichen Itza because they will pull a machete on you..... just what tourist want to hear?! this was my second time doing this tour and our first tour was wonderful,of course a different company, they really need to stop this company from offering tours, this was garbage!!! also they charged us $17 USD for unlimited drinks and after they collected all the money, they told us they were not able to get ice!!! nothing like warm water and beer when it's almost 100 degrees outside!! read more

I purchased 2 xcaret tour with tranportation from Delta Tours but the one execute the tour is "dream tours". I gave them a 1 star because the transportation they give is old and smelly. We arrived in xcaret so late past 1030pm (which is lessen our opportunity to explore the whole xcaret). Worst is during the entire bus, they only speaks Spanish and didn't give us english explanation. Bad service. read more

Highway robbery. We bought a private catamaran snorkeling tour for 23 people @$60 per person from their sales person on the beach. I had done my research, and that was exactly the price for private, so I felt somewhat reassured. I had the hotel security call to reconfirm. They gave a wade of cash to a guy and we waited for 1 hour for a ferry boat to show up. In the end, they brought us to the ferries boats that take people the the catamarans, except there was no catamaran waiting for us. The little ferry boat had life jackets and they said we could swim. No catamaran, no snorkeling gear, no food, no drinks, no lunch on the Island as sold. 23 of us were dropped off and left on the island and had to fend for ourselves. Thank god we paid by credit card. We've had 3 trips with Dreams Tours throughout our stay in Cancun. Part of it is our fault trying to budget like students, and save money by avoiding going through our great hotel. The first tour was to Chichen Itza, and forgetting about long delays and the refusal to give any customer a receipt, the bus was laden with bed bugs. When we complained about the bugs after the fact we were ensured this was only for this one tour, and that the other tours are on bed bug free buses. We wound up purchasing a package of another 2 tours - one to XCaret and one to Tullum as we were told buying two tours would be the most cost feasible for us. While the first tour arrived to XCaret 3 hours late, the second tour never happened. We waited in the lobby at 6 AM as instructed. At 7 we had the concierge call Dreams Tours who said we should wait, and they'll pick us up in 10 minutes. At 8, the concierge called again and Dreams Tours said they're not coming. We went to the business office (the picture attached here). They said the issue was that even though they had accepted the money we paid to them, the agent did not pay them enough money for the tour so they keep all the money and we can't go on the tour despite our paying them $280 USD. They told us to go to the stand where we purchased the ticket. As they do business with the stand all the time, they assured us it was all okay and they would take care of it. The stand sent us back to the Dreams Tours headquarters, who sent us back to the stand. The second time we went to the stand, and said this was tantamount to stealing and we would file a police report. It was at this point that we were threatened and told by a very volatile gentleman he is "connected to gangs," and knows our hotel room number because we had to disclose the room # when we booked our ticket. The hotel wound up having to implement additional secuurity during our stay. Dreams Tours then said these men they have on the streets in the hotel district are not their responsibility even though they only sell tours for Dreams Tours, and Dreams Tours exchanges thousands of dollars with them on a day to day business. We were only told these people are "thugs," and to just let it go and accept our loss for our safety. The police officer we met with informed us companies like Dreams Tours sometimes take money from tourists, but don't provide the tour as a way of increasing profits. However, we could have the situation is fixed by showing him our receipt. Our receipt read only that it was paid in full referencing receipt one, and supposed to leave on 8/30. We needed a receipt to show us how much we paid - the first receipt showing we paid $280. The issue is in order to go on any trip with Dreams Tours you must turn over your receipt after you pay, and cannot even take a picture of it (in hindsight, you should and must take a picture before hand). Dreams Tours issues you no new receipt, and we were told the receipts are kept in a safe on the second floor and only the owner has a key. Of course, the owner is never in. Basically, there's no way to get the receipt. Why would a business possibly put the receipts in a safe no one can access unless they're intending to defraud the customers? So we lost our money, there was no tour and our safety was threatened. This is Dreams Tours. I'm sure other people will be on to share similar experiences, and maybe we could all band together to warn future tourists about them. Dreams gave me the most appalling tour experience I've ever had the displeasure of going through. I would give zero stars for this tour company if I could. We purchased our tour (Chichen Itza and Cenote Ik Kil) through a third party outside of Crystal Grand resort. To start, we were picked up nearly an hour late from our resort. After we were picked up late, we were shuttled to their office to be crammed with 30 other tourists into a shoddy tour bus. This situation was incredibly stressful. On arrival, we were given no instruction on where to go; when we were given instruction, the workers barked orders to us and basically treated us like cattle. We finally got settled into the bus after a half hour of wondering whether or not we got scammed. Amenities that we were promised on the bus (washroom, snacks, umbrellas) were not provided. The buffet lunch was incredibly unappetizing and took place in what looked like a rural hotel. Our tour guide conducted 80% of the tour in Spanish, while only occasionally repeating what he said in English. The only redeeming features of the tour was the sites of Chichen Itza and the cenote itself. Both sites are beautiful and interesting places to visit, although Dreams had nothing to do with that. I would avoid this tour company at all cost. I would have paid double the price of the tour to simply not go. read more

I went to Chichen Itza tour classico with Dreams Tours in March 2023 from Cancun. We come very late to this main attraction, we had only 1,5 hour for whole complex, which is not enough. We spent some time for souvenir presentation on the morning. But the worst think was, they DO NOT WAIT if you are little bit late. I was 12 min late (get lost there), they did not wait for me. We booked our tour with a guy who was standing outside of our hotel. Something about it made me uneasy, but he was wearing a name tag and a shirt with the hotel logo and that set our mind at ease somewhat. After paying him with cash, I took his picture just in case, and he didn't object. The next day, after waiting in line for about half an hour, we finally boarded our bus and the nightmare began. After each stop, there was a shuffling of tourists off one bus and onto another and a lot of time was wasted while these guys tried to figure out the logistics of who was going where and how to maximize the space on each bus. At one stop they had to call for another minivan to come and pick up a few passengers who didn't fit in the two busses that were already there. They also separated a group of young European tourists. Several people started complaining and somehow they figured out the best seating arrangements and we were on our way once more. The tour guide at our stop in Tulum, gave us a very general Mexican history talk under a tree and let us walk around on our own after that. I could hear the other tour guides stopping at each temple and giving their tourists a specific description of the temple and a more detailed history of Tulum. Our guide clearly didn't know much about Tulum. These are guys are not only disorganized, they don't know much about the places they are supposed to be guiding you through. Our last stop were the ruins of Cobá. By the time we got there, we had less than an hour to go through those ruins on our own. They warned us, that if we were not back on the bus within 45 minutes, we would be left there. Cobá is 2 hours away from Cancun. The guides all stayed near the bus and boozed it up with the passengers who bought the unlimited drink package. I prayed that the driver of our bus wasn't among them. These guys are amateurs, at best. They offer you a lot of stops for a very cheap price, but you definitely get what you pay for. read more

Extremely long, arduous process with dishonest people who are scamming you for every penny. Pick up time was at 7 am. It's currently 8:40 and I am still sitting on the bus in the same location, waiting for God knows. We were picked up in a small air conditioned bus then had to get off and switch to another bus. It was huge, cold, and very comfortable. I put all my things away, got settled in and then 10 minutes later we made another stop inside of a mall. Their office is located in the back of a store and it's chaotic. We stood around for 25-30 minutes arguing with them about the price they were making us pay vs the price we had agreed on ahead of time. After making several calls back and forth they finally agreed on our original price. Then we got back onto another bus which was not even half as nice as the first bus. The seats were dirty, it was loud, and the seats by the bathroom smelled like pee. We had booked through a separate vendor while we were in Isla Mujeres and he didn't mention the name dream tours. So if you book through a random vendor make sure you ask which company is doing the transportation. read more

Yesterday I purchased 5 tours from tourscancun.org operated by dreams tours, for Chichén Itzá and cenote. My family's experience wasn't as pleasant as I would have hoped for and here I thought this was an experienced company. To start, I called after I purchased the tickets a day before. It doesn't look like they have an office. Merely a cel phone. I spoke to a Monica Garcia and she told me that the itinerary was as follows: they would be picked up from the hotel at 7:10 and then would go to the Cenote, then the buffet, Chichén Itzá and then Valladolid. She never told me that they would be picked up at 7:40 (when the time established was 7:10) they took them to plaza flamingos (a small shopping center) and had them wait until 9:00. They then went on an old bus that didn't even had seatbelts and had a leak de to the A/C. The 1st stop was Valladolid where they saw a church for 20 minutes. Then they were taken at the shopping place where they left them for more than 1 hour to shop and then they were hurried up to eat at the buffet, only for 20 minutes. Not a lot of food varieties and scarce. Then the next stop was Chichén Itzá where they arrived at 2:30 and were there until 4:24, the guided tour was only 1 hour for such an important place, not enough time for the usual explanation that other tours would give. Then they got to the cenote, beautiful place indeed, where they could only enjoy it for 20 minutes since they got there at 5:20 and they closed at 6. I mentioned that it was only 20 minutes because you have to shower first (to remove oils and sunblock), get a life jacket and by then they only had a chance to dive once into the cenote. This clearly is a ripoff. They take forever at the souvenir shop instead of the tour that you pay for. I tried calling again to complain and they didn't answer. Pay a bit more with other companies and save yourself from this disappointment. It is sad that they do this to foreigns and nationals. They charge you for services and they don't give what they offer. They are money hungry indeed. read more

BEWARE OF DREAMS TOURS - Milli (Tour Guide)!!!! Long story short, they left us at Chichen Itza site which was more than 2 hours away from Cancun. The tour was 99% in Spanish language. We showed up at sharp 3:30 PM which was our pickup time and bus was not there. After running around for an hour to find them, we took a cab which costed us $100. My kids got very stressed out with the entire situation. I am not sure if there was miscommunication for pick up time but they did not even bother to message us or call us. They lie from the beginning, we bought tickets for a 4-1 packet. Than we had to buy drinks for the trip separately because it was an all day thing and suppose-ably drinks are more expensive off the bus. They mentioned the drinks are unlimited beer, soda, or water and they gave us 6 oz cups to serve us in. SMH. To use the restroom they locked the door because they need to mention to everyone that you can only go #1, you can NOT go #2. Every stop you felt rushed, literally honked to warn us they are leaving. Honestly just don't waste your money or time!!! Red flags that I didn't see is that they want things cash and also Manolo office was a broken box where he kept his paperwork all mixed up and unorganized. In a good company you should be able to pay with card. Like come on it's 2023!!! So yeah I hope you guys do your research before buy from these scammers! This is worst tour I've ever been on. This bus tour that we went on, DO NOT care about the foreigners, only want your money, that's it. Do not book with Dreams Tours company in Cancun (You better off book at your hotel, so there will be more foreigner customers and the guide will speak English). This tour company was pretty unorganized, pick us up 30 minutes late, and wait more like another 30 minutes at a market meeting point before go on big bus, and this tour drop us 1 hour later than original intended at night, the tour cut hours in the last 2 places of visit (we had 30 minutes at cenote (which is NOT enough time) .. (which I was told 2 hrs at Cenote when bought the tour), and 40 minutes at Playa Del Carmen. The Dream tour bus I & my husband was on (Oct. 29, 2021) for 4 visit places (Tulum, Coba, Cenote, Playa Del Carmen) which has 97% customers speaks Spanish , and we speak English only, NOT Spanish. The tour guide can speak BOTH Spanish & English, but the whole time of time to the end of tour, he chose to speak Spanish ONLY (not even translate to English at all). When reach to visit stops, the guide said he will separate into 2 groups, 1 group with Spanish guide & 1 group with English guide. He did not do that at all, he has only have 1 group, and guide in Spanish all the way. WE FELT LEFT OUT ... on bus and at visit stops, he only tell history of the places, tell jokes, and tell time to meet up his customers in "Spanish only". We had to come up to him and ask where & what time to meet, then he tell us, otherwise he probably just ignore us, like on the bus. These guys from this bus tour DO NOT deserve to be call the professional tour guide or deserve any tip at all. Don't book with Dream Tours. They try to sell you lots of other stuffs on bus for high prices, like insect repellent (they sell $ 10 USD for small bottle 3 oz.) (they say you are going to jungle and need it.. NO, we hardly see any mosquitos or bugs), We paid add on $ 10 USD "per person" for "all you can drink (beer, soda, water)" and it was NOT worth it to us. I think the USD $ 10 was overpriced, should be like $ 5 USD (they said drinks are like $ 3 usd - $ 6 USD per drink at visit stops, and I see some stops with drink selling at $ 1 USD). (I think it is better to bring your OWN drink ... and pack a lunch, if you can) ... And the lunch that included in our tour price was not good either. read more

This "company" is a complete SCAM!!!! They lie from the beginning, we bought tickets for an all-inclusive packet for four people (2 adults, 2 kids 4 &10) they charged full price for all 4. They picked us at 6:50am in a van, then they made us change to a bus (not in good conditions), then they leaved us in a market place where we had to pay for the "balance" of the all-inclusive package, then in the line somebody asked us if we wanted to buy the vest for the last cenote (she said it wasn't included) so I told her we paid an all-inclusive, and her answer was if you do not pay you cannot enter in that cenote. Then they made us get on the bus, and it was awful, the chairs where they wanted us to sit where- dirty, one was broken, and we asked them to change us to other seats, there were four seats available in the front part, but they denied and told us it was reserved for other people. So, we had to argue we were not going to travel in those seats with our kids, so we decided to remain in the front ones, even though they did not want it and answered very rude to us. Later, they changed us to a van because we were from a different tour, so this guy took us to the four cenotes. When the driver went to buy the tickets, ask how many, so we told him to buy four, then he asked for my son's age, and he said because he is just four, he did not have to pay. We told him we paid for him full price; he said it was not his fault. Then we entered the place (casa Tortuga) where the time they gave us was1 hour and a half, the tour guy was always rushing us and we had just 15-20 min in each cenote, when the 4th cenote is over they asked you to take off the life vest because even they said you can stay until the afternoon, you cannot have the vest on, so you have to pay again?, then we went out, because the driver made sure we understand if we were late, he could leave us. But after 15 min looking for him, we found out he was sleeping on the bus. Then he took us very far for the lunch, in a Mayan village, and we eat a good food prepared by the Mayans (the good part), then we were "waiting" for the bus to go to the 5th cenote (where we knew it wasn't included in the all-inclusive) and one of the guys started to talked to my husband trying to convince him about buying the vest for the last one, and as he saw we were not going to pay more money, because we paid for 4 tours, he said, while we were waiting we could go to a near place, "so beautiful", and he 'invited us' and when we arrived he showed us where to go, but that place was dirty and full of smoke, looked abandoned. Then it was raining, so we were waiting for them to come and let us get on the bus or the van because of the kids, but he said he was going to look for the keys, but we were waiting and waiting and never appeared, then the "soda guy" took us inside the place, close to the cenote, and we found the guy pleasantly seated looking at his cellphone, while we were under the rain with our kids, and 2 other ladies with 2 other kids that refuse to pay for this too. He never apologized or showed consideration for us. When the people was done at the cenote, we all went back to the van, and then we were very uncertain if they were going to take us to Cancun, so my husband talked to the guy and asked him, he said we had to go to the bus because the bus was going back straight to Cancun, but then the lady who was the tour guide (Fernanda, who was the one in charge of the historical part, not very knowledgeable) told us we had to go back to the van, my husband asked her why, because we didn't' t wanted to go to Playa del Carmen, we already knew it was a complete waste of time, because they left you on the street at night and it's just full of expensive stores, So we told her we didn't want to go there, then she yelled at us, saying she was OUR TOUR GUIDE and that SHE HAD THE AUTHORITY TO TOLD US WHAT TO DO OR NOT, AND WE HAD TO OBEY HER!!! My husband told her we didn't' t believed them, because they all were liars, and we needed to be sure they were going to leave us in Cancun, not in Playa del Carmen, they were very disrespectfull. So finally we had to go in the van, but they took us to Playa del Carmen where they stayed going around the same couple of streets 6 times!!! We went back to Cancun around 10:30PM!!! Honestly just do not waste your money or time!!! I hope you guys do your research before buying from these scammers! Very disorganized tour with many hidden costs. They tell you your ticket includes everything and then surprise: 2 USD for the mandatory life jacket at the cenote. We didn't pay and just went down there and put our feet in the water before the people stuck in line paying got down. Could have probably gotten away with swimming honestly. Prepare to spend a lot of your day wasting time being herded around to crappy food places and urged to buy chintzy trinkets "to support the Mayans". Then they'll try to guilt you into buying a bottle of 17 USD "Mayan" booze with your photo printed on it. Way more of this will occupy a day with Dream Tours than actually sightseeing. Sure, all this can be expected on a trip anywhere outside of Europe/Aus/Can etc. What angered us enough to write a review was their promise to pick us up at our hotel, to sell us the trip. We had an Airbnb they didn't recognize, so as we were about to pay they tried to casually change the pickup location on us. We were ready to walk when they grudgingly agreed to pick us up at the Walmart we bought the tour in. Fine. However, at the end of the day they refused to drop us off there and instead dropped us off at a random intersection "2 blocks away" from Walmart. We were three girls, and we got lost in an unfamiliar town, at night, with no map or gps. Not cool. So if you have the option to pay a little more to book through a legitimate touring company, do so. This tour worked out ok for us on our dime budget, but sounds like others on Google and Tripadvisor had way worse experiences than us. Not worth saving a few bucks. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero out of five stars I would. Sadly because of the way they book trips most people like us will not see these reviews until it is too late but hopefully this stops one person from booking. We booked with Dreams to Chichen Itza. We were told it would be a 12 hour trip with a light breakfast and full lunch buffet. On this trip we were supposed to see Chichen Itza, swim in a cenote and explore an ancient city along the way. o We were picked up at 7 am in a van, then transferred to a bus only to be brought to a disorganized transfer station to be put on another bus. 9:30am and we haven't even left Cancun o Finally after leaving the transfer station we only drove for 30 minutes before pulling off on the side of the road with no explanation. We sat there for over an hour. When we finally asked what we were waiting for the guide explained that the tour company found out there was three empty seats on the bus and we couldn't go on until they were filled. So we had to sit on the side of the road with 57 people to wait for a van to drive three more people to the bus. o We were promised a light breakfast as part of the "plus" package we paid for. When we asked the guide about it he said "he didn't know who we were so he didn't know what we should be given". Then he sent someone to a gas station to pick us up our breakfast which turned out to be carbonate orange drink and oreo cookies. o Our first stop was at noon where we were given twenty minutes to explore an entire town. We were given zero information, no points on interest or anything. The driver then showed up 15 minutes after the agreed upon time we were told we would be given. He didn't care about our time at all. o While on this epically long drive the tour guide spent much of the time trying to preach to us the benefits of crystals and chakras then trying to sell us crystals. It felt like a religious conversion trip and we had nowhere to go. They also had people come on board to sell us alcohol which we could no escape from. o We stood around for hours in the heat with no direction or explanation in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. When we asked what was happening we were told not to pressure the guide. o 7 hours into this trip I had used a public washroom and bought a bag of chips... that is it. What a waste of time o Finally after a so called shaman ceremony that was supposed to take place in under 20 that ended up taking over an hour and a half that was mostly to try to sell us more stuff we are herded to a buffet. We were promised free non-alcoholic drinks which turn out to be one glass of tap water and that is it. Anything else you have to pay for. The food was gross and almost inedible. o We finally arrive at the ruins...... the whole point of the drink at 3:45pm. (the park closes at 4pm) We are given 1.5 hours to explore this massive site. This allowed for maybe 1/8th of the park. We drove 10 hours to be rushed through the park that was the entire point of the trip. We are given zero information and the guide just disappears. We didn't know where to go or what to look out for and learned zero of the background or history of the location. o We don't arrive to the cenote till after 6pm when it is dark and now getting cold and if you want to swim you have to pay more money. This wasn't told when buying the trip. Even if you want to see the cenote to have have to pay $2 US to get a life jacket so you cannot even walk near the cenote without paying extra money. o On the way home we are yelled at when we didn't get off the bus at a random hotel. When we get off the bus (while being asked for a good tip) we are informed that we are being put into a cab because they don't want to drive all the way to our hotel. o This entire this was a scam. 17 hours to only spend 2 hours doing activities and being hard sold a bunch of junk. Worst day, worst trip, worst guide. I felt like I had been legally kidnapped and held hostage. If they had of brought us directly to any of the locations on the itinerary instead of randomly driving us all over Mexico this could have been an okay day. Instead we were kept on a bus for 12 hours being sold stuff we didn't want. read more

I booked a tour through dreams tours and only read the reviews when I got back to my hotel, almost made me cancel the trip and lose my money. I hardly slept the night before the tour. I was pleasantly surprised the next morning when we where picked up on time in a really nice bus, there was a little waiting around while other people where picked up and we did wait a little more at the terminal while we where separated into our respective busses. It was definitely worth the wait, the tour was awesome and our guide Alfredo was very knowledgeable. Chitchenitza is a once in a lifetime experience and the cenotes are a lot of fun. This was absolutely the WORST tour I have been on. The sites were good, but the tour guides were horrible. They had no control over the passengers. During this time of COVID-19, many passengers and even the tour guides were not always masked-up. The guides did nothing to protect our health. One passenger was playing loud music which was not addressed by the tour guides. The tour guides did not stick to the schedule. We left every site up to 30 minutes late. We only speak English yet most of the of the communication was in Spanish. Very little was translated into English. Needless to say, we ditched the tour at the last stop and gladly paid for a private taxi back to our hotel. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Chichen-Itza tour we took was very nice. Hotel pick-up in the morning and drop-off at the hotel -- convenient. They picked tourists like us up from different hotels and gathered at their office/souvenir shop kind of location. Then split us up into Spanish tour or English tour groups .. we went in the smaller van with fellow English tour folks. Our guide was Tony, an older gentleman -- fluent in English and seemed knowledgeable in Mayan culture/history. He explained stuff throughout the tour. Places covered in this tour were Valladolid plaza & church, then buffet lunch at a retreat like location in between, swim at Ik-kil cenote; finally the incredible mayan pyramids at Chichen-Itza. Overall a wonderful trip and must do. Decent tour company. Only negatives - private tours may save time (instead of getting picked up & waiting at their office - good couple of hours in cancun itself); the tour guide selling stones or mayan birth certificates. etc. (well, it may be fun if you are into that kind of thing though). read more

These people are so unprofessional it's not even funny. DO NOT purchase any activity with them. On our trip to Xcaret, the main office 'FORGOT' to email the Park with the purchase information. Our guide said it would take him 10-15 mins to get our wrist bands, those 10-15 mins took almost 2 hrs. When people started complaining he started getting defensive. Telling us to call the office because it wasn't his fault. It was hot, humid and to be honest a waste of time. All we got was attitude from the guide. By the way, don't expect them to drop you off at the door of your hotel if you're staying on the hotel zone. read more

I took a tour on Sunday to Tulum. Our tour guy Julio was excellent. He knows the history of the place which was nice to know. Everything was going well until we got to the restaurant. We got to a particular restaurant that the company partners with and there is nothing else to choose from. While i was eating I found a worm in my food. I talked to the waitress, who then talked to management but I was told that was normal. That's its def not normal to me. It is unsanitary and gross. After the incident we still had to pay for drinks and nothing else was done about it. read more

We left disappointed and furious about the lack of quality service, poor communication, and payment for services unrendered. Dreams Tours left us stranded and did not provide us with any refund or discount for the tour, or reimburse us for the money we spent on the taxi. We met with Sam Nuva at a kiosk for Dreams Tours and he informed us about many excursion packages. He insisted on booking day-long tours, but we explained that we were only interested in a tour that would get us back to the hotel by the early afternoon. Sam showed us a tour that would pick us up from the hotel at 7:30am and drop us back off at the hotel around 3:30pm. He further explained that the tour included a trip to Tulum where we would have an hour with a tour guide and an hour to explore the ruins freely, and a trip to Playa del Carmen where we would have 2 hours to explore the area. We agreed to these conditions and paid $49.10 each for the full package as described. However, the transportation for the tour arrived late and then was late to leave for the excursions. While on the bus, we had difficulty understanding what was going on because everyone was speaking Spanish. Sam had not informed us that it would be a Spanish speaking tour even though he knew we did not speak Spanish. As the tour progressed, the tour guide began speaking English more often and gave a full tour of Tulum in English. However, we were very confused during the transportation process due to the language barrier. We had arrived to Tulum around 11am, the tour guide began speaking from about 11:15am-11:40am (a mere 25 minutes compared to the hour we were told), then we had free time to explore from about 11:40-12:20pm (only 40 minutes compared to the hour we were told). Thus, we were only at Tulum for about one hour total even though we paid believing that we would be there for 2 hours. We did not feel like we had ample time to explore and learn about the ruins. After Tulum, we were directed away from the parking lot and told to stand at the entrance to wait for a grey van to pick us up to transport us to Playa del Carmen. We felt odd and a little uncomfortable going into a van that no other tourists were using. Nonetheless, we decided to trust the tour guides and persist. However, when the van arrived at Playa del Carmen at 1pm, the drivers told us that another van would come to pick us up at 6pm. This was much later than we were told and promised by Sam. We told the drivers that we were supposed to be getting back to the hotel around 3:30pm, so there must have been some mistake. They explained that there were no other drivers scheduled to work in the area until 6pm. We insisted that if there were no other drivers to pick us up earlier, that they should take us straight back to the hotel and we would forgo Playa del Carmen. After much confrontation and discussion, they agreed to call their boss who eventually said that they could have another van pick us up at 2:30pm at the same location where they dropped us off. Per our request, one of the drivers provided us with his phone number just in case any other problems occurred. We had an hour to explore Playa del Carmen, then arrived at the pick up location a few minutes before 2:30pm to be safe and waited for the van to arrive. However, 3:15pm came and still no van. We called the driver multiple times, but he never answered. We were stranded in Playa del Carmen. As a result, we had to pay $40 to get a cab ride back to the hotel. As soon as we got back to the hotel, we went to the Dreams Tours kiosk and demanded a refund. However, Sam refused to give us a refund stating that there was no proof of what happened and that he would need to speak to the boss of the transportation team who conveniently wasn't answering his phone. We left disappointed and furious about the lack of quality service, poor communication, and payment for services unrendered. I contacted Sam again the following day requesting a refund and he still refused. He (and Dreams Tours) did not provide us with any refund or discount for the tour, or reimburse us for the money we spent on the taxi. read more

Worst experience ever booking a tour. This vendor was in the Walmart in Playa Del Carmen. After agreeing to a price, pick up time and details of the XCaret experience they tried to change everything on the day of the tour. They changed the drop off and pick up times, demanded more "fees" and lied to us throughout the day. This business was located in the Walmart and put on a trustworthy presentation the day of the sale. These guys are crooks and liars. Do not even talk to them! All went well or as best as it can be expected. It took too long to get going to Chichenitza , pick-ups etc. in the A.M. , ONLY the tour guide talked to much so we didn't get to tour all upon arrival but I got away and took my photos anyway. I accept the good and the bad or stay home. I say tours 101 for all, research before you leave the comfort of your home. Not one mosquito bit me. Vitamin B-1,2,AND 12 BEFORE LEAVING HOME, RIGHT !!!! Great education for all , I have my PHD AT THIS. Memory lane when you come back home to talk about your experiences + or minus and you know next time and now you have your PHD, SMILE. Rent a car,go at your own pace etc, get your history on Google, you don't need a 100 % tour guide etc. and enjoy your trip .I agree to disagree , Oh yes, there's a Wall-mart ,Costco, Sams The Golden Arches, etc. your home, LET YOUR FINGERS DO THE WALKIN . WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I can give this Zero star I would absolutely give it to this place. About four days ago, my girlfriend and I are looking for breakfast in the morning, when we were crossing the road one guy caught me and help us to make a trip plan. I made my travel plan before came and have paid most of them online in cheaper price except go to Isla Mujeres. Then the lies begin, he told me if I am going to the Isla Mujeres one way I am going to spend $15 that is true. Then if I am going round trip it will cost $30 (Actually if you are buying round trip it only cost $19 and if you purchase online it still can be cheaper). He lies so perfectly and I was so stupid and believed it. Then he gave me a big chance to save money if I am going with him, he will offer me $40 plus $10 tax round trip including a lunch. 20% tax rate? I didn't calculate all these because on that day we are hurrying to Xcaret. So I said,"maybe we are going but we are leaving to Xcaret now and I will contact you later". He kept talking to me and didn't seem to let me go if I didn't decide it. So I paid around $70 deposit got a receipt and left. One day later we were heading to the pier Juárez which he gave this address to me. When we arrived there I took out the receipt it told me to find Captain Pablo. HOLY SHIT!!! That pier was so big and I asked everyone there who can speak English about Captain Pablo, no one knows him. I spent more than one hour to find it and I called this agency but no one answered. My girlfriend was a little bit angry about looking for Pablo, it was wasting time. So I bought 2 round trip ferry which cost $19 each person went to Isla Mujeres. Another day I went back to the agency and talked about my experience they said the captain was waiting for me and that was all blame me. So they won't give a penny of my deposit back. I had the airplane to catch, what can I do, left with angry. If you know how to search and pay on the internet, don't be lazy, you will save tons of money and will have a better trip, don't believe anyone come across you, they don't want you to save money, just want to earn your money!!! read more

To be fair, I paid a really low price compared to what it would normally have cost me (just comparing it to prices I've seen as I've done research). We were approached by someone at Puerto Moreles, offering a discount for attending a presentation. We couldn't attend but got the discount anyway - $40 USD per person for the "4 in 1" tour. We were going to Tullum, Coba, buffet lunch, cenote, and Playa del Carmen. OK, sure, why not, right? The driver picked us up on time but the bus was already full when we got there. Then the tour guide only spoke in Spanish. Now, I can hold a very short conversation and can understand some Spanish, but let me tell you, I was so paranoid I was going to be left behind as he talked so much and so fast! I couldn't pick up on any words and he didn't make any effort to try to communicate with non-Spanish speakers. Every time we got off the bus, I asked for the time we needed to be back and as long as I wasn't late, at least they wouldn't leave me behind. First stop: Tullum. I obviously just followed the herd. They gave us stickers as we got off the bus, so I just tracked the people who had the same stickers I had to make sure I was in the right place. We barely had time after walking that we MISSED playing on the beach. Tulum beach was absolutely DREAMY! I wish I had time to play in the beach. Second stop: this weird store. Frankly, we shouldn't have stopped here. Absolute waste of time. Third stop: lunch. It was so-so. Not nasty, but definitely not the best food I've had. It's enough to fill you up for the rest of the tour. Fourth stop: Coba. I'm glad we paid for a bike ride to see it because we wouldn't have made it if we had to walk. It's about 2-2.5 miles round trip to get to the biggest ruin. Fifth stop: Cenote. The 2nd best stop! But it was so disappointing that we had maybe 10 minutes to play in the water! Sixth stop: Playa Del Carmen... shopping. Spent an hour here. Overall, a good enough "scratch the surface" type of tour. You get what you paid for so I'm not mad. BUT if they didn't stop at the 2nd stop, we could have had more time at the cenote and could have gotten home earlier. We didn't get back to the hotel until almost 9:40pm. We want to go back to Cancun and bring the rest of the family next time so this tour gave us an idea where to go (and NOT to go). By the way... still NO ENGLISH whatsoever. I got paranoid at the end when they stuck us in a cab to be dropped back off to our hotel. Good thing there was another couple with us half of the time, and they spoke Spanish. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and easily connected with his passengers through personal anecdotes and his sense of humor! We went on this tour and it was a mess up from go. The night before the salesman called our hotel after 10pm to tell us the pickup time had changed. The next move morning we waited and waited for the bus in the hotel lobby. 7:30 became 7:45. A half an hour after the original time and 15 minutes later then the late night change. We got to the tour hub and they make you go thru a cheesy gift shop. There they direct you to different lines to get the boarding passes. Drinks are not included in the promotion price and depending on which person tries to sell you a wrist band it's either 10 or $20. We finally make it to the area where there's only buses. We asked three different people which bus to get on they all send us to Raul. He says yes you're with me as he checks his clipboard and so we get on his bus. We find out when we get to the first stop that we're not really supposed to be with him. They have marked the wrong boarding passes for us. We were on a 14 hour tour and not the at 8 hour tour. We had picked the shorter tour because we were traveling with our 75-year-old mother, she was not up to a full day. Raul was talking to the office and making accommodations for us to only do the two parts of the tour had originally signed up for. . The lunch that we had paid for it was now unavailable and we have to take back a receipt to the hub tomorrow try to get reimbursed. Originally we were supposed to be back in Cancun at 3:30 in the afternoon. With the new schedule it was gonna be 645. We already had dinner reservation at 7 PM. I made a point of asking Raul if we would make those reservations he stated yes, at the latest we would be back was 6:45. We were told to meet the bus at the plaza at 5:45. The bus did not show till 615 at night. Then we were told to hurry up get on the bus. The bus did not leave for 15 minutes making it 6:30. Needless to say we missed our dinner reservations. I would not recommend this tour group to anyone. Mostly if traveling with people that can not be in the heat or walk long Distances do not trust their word. Once they hand your money they will tell you anything. It is now 7:00 pm and we are not even close to our hotel. read more

Great trip all around The space on the bus is very small, but it seems as though everything in Mexico is small (bathrooms, cars) we took a trip to the main pyramid. It was a 2hr drive. Paid $45, plus $15 for the unlimited drinks. Definitely worth the drinks and not having to lug it around all day. The guy who ran the tour was Neto. He took a great amount of pride in explaining to the group in English and in Spanish about his country's culture. The pyramids were wonderful. The waterhole where u swim was short but fun. Bring towels, bathing suit, a couple of snacks, and lots of money for souvenirs. My only real issue with the trip was that we were we eat, the suveniers are HIGHLY overpriced. Don't buy there. Buy from the plaza at the first stop, or at the pyramids. If u look like a tourist, they will try to gouge u. Be ready to haggle! Be careful of Chinese items, try to buy handmade. read more

If you wanted to be stranded pick this place. My friends picked this place for a tour. The place and salesman Sam was very shady to begin with but end up going because of the cost of the tour. I had my doubts but since I was in a group I decided against my intuition. I paid in cash unfortunately and can't dispute it. We woke up and got to the lobby by 7:20 as requested from Sam. We met a young man and was huddled into the yellow shuttle bus. We picked up other people along the way. We arrived to a store outlet called reception area. We was separated based on the tour that was picked for the day. Finally we got on one of the buses outside for the tour. We started on our way and ten minutes later was told to get off the bus. We were on the wrong tour bus and was directed to another shuttle. The bus was not great at all. A 2 hour drive no stops no bathroom. We arrived and had a 15 min talk with the guide. After was told we have 45 mins to walk around the entire place and make it back to the factory. Rushed is an understatement. We had to run back to the factory. The previous guide told us that a van will pick us up at the gate. So we walk to the front of the gate and a man opens the door to take us to the next destination. The guy arrives to the destination and say that he will pick us up at 6 pm. Sam ( the salesman) told our group we will be back at 3:30. We awkwardly sat in the van trying to figure out the confusion with the pick up times. After 25 mins, we were told that another van will pick us up at 2:30. So we should be back at the Citibank spot. We waited until 3:15 and finally came to the conclusion that we wasn't going to be picked up. We ended up taking a taxi back to our hotel. An additional cost and more frustration to the horrible tour. You get what you pay for.... read more
