DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. If i could give this excursion NEGATIVE stars i would. We were told this trip would be from 7Am-7:30PM. HUGE LIE. We were picked up at 6:50Am and didn't get home till 12:03PM. Each destination we were forced to purchase something. The lunch was disgusting!! they gave us food that had flies all over , chicken was un cleaned. A small lunch for an excursion that last more than 12 hours ! Water was leaking from the roof of the charter bus on to passengers. Not to mention the charter bus was extremely hot!! They had us walking in dark alleys at night instead of driving us to our destination. Women beware!!! They dropped multiple women off in the middle of the street expecting them to walk the rest of their way to the hotels. They had nasty attitudes the whole time! no empathy at all, just MONEY HUNGRY!

This is Vladimir the supposed"tour guide" who tried to swindle every dime out of ALL tourists on this bus.

WORST TOUR EXPERIENCE EVER EXPERIENCED I wish I could give them NO stars A. 7/8/19 7:08AM show up at ick up point. No one shows up to get us. After numerous phone calls, was asked to go to a different pick up point. After paying $10 or a taxi, I got to the new spot, only to find they had already left. B. 7/9/19 7:00AM Waiting at same pick-up point as the day before; Bus was 40 minutes late. 8:00 boarded bus drove 20 minutes before they made everyone wait about 1/2 an hour before we had to get off the bus and on to another one that was coming rom Cancun. Then they tried to charge extra Insted of the honoring the original price. I had to argue with the "guide" and refused to pay the additional charges. Finally, they honored the original price. C. 9:00AM finally head out to our destination...we stopped at Vallladolid MX and they pushed the sale of Mayan calendars on us, we were there for 20 minutes. D. 12:00 we head out to lunch ...we arrived Dzitas Yuctan,MX at 1:10PM...we spent 20 minutes getting us to speak to a "shaman" a.k.a a man with a fist-full of leaves sprinkling eveyone with water and handing out mysticall rocks...which were for sale some over $800!! E. Then they herd us over to the gift shop to entice us to buy mystical rocks and jewelry. Then they guide us over to the dining area. They took pictures of every family in groups....and then proceeded to walk us over to where they sell tequila. Finally, ate around 1:45PM!! We were asked to rush through lunch and boarded the bus again, however, now there's a guy trying to sell us a liquor and the bottles have pitures of each of the famiies from our bus. F. 3:30PM . Finally, arrive at Chichen Itza (which closes at 4PM) and it starts pouring rain and thundering...our female guide gave us some information (in the pouring rain and thunder/lightning) and then abandoned the tour an ran back to the bus and told all of us the bus wouldn't be open to us until 5:20PM. We were left wait in the storm with lightning and thunder over oue heads. G. We were taken to the cenote and were the last bus there and we were only given 40 minutes to swim and take picturess and explore before we were asked to et out ofthe water because the us was leaving. Had they brought us to our destination directly, instead of driving me to every hole in Valladolid Yucatan trying to swindle me out of my money; I would have been able to enjoy what I actually paid for. I basically felt I was kidnapped and robbed of my hard-earned money, legally. I will NEVER visit Mexico again and anyone who is thinking of visiting Mexico, I encourage you to change your plans. They are very money hungry and everywhere you turn they will try to overcharge you or swindle you out of your hard-earned money! It's disgusting what they're doing to tourists.

We've had 3 trips with Dreams Tours throughout our stay in Cancun. Part of it is our fault trying to budget like students, and save money by avoiding going through our great hotel. The first tour was to Chichen Itza, and forgetting about long delays and the refusal to give any customer a receipt, the bus was laden with bed bugs. When we complained about the bugs after the fact we were ensured this was only for this one tour, and that the other tours are on bed bug free buses. We wound up purchasing a package of another 2 tours - one to XCaret and one to Tullum as we were told buying two tours would be the most cost feasible for us. While the first tour arrived to XCaret 3 hours late, the second tour never happened. We waited in the lobby at 6 AM as instructed. At 7 we had the concierge call Dreams Tours who said we should wait, and they'll pick us up in 10 minutes. At 8, the concierge called again and Dreams Tours said they're not coming. We went to the business office (the picture attached here). They said the issue was that even though they had accepted the money we paid to them, the agent did not pay them enough money for the tour so they keep all the money and we can't go on the tour despite our paying them $280 USD. They told us to go to the stand where we purchased the ticket. As they do business with the stand all the time, they assured us it was all okay and they would take care of it. The stand sent us back to the Dreams Tours headquarters, who sent us back to the stand. The second time we went to the stand, and said this was tantamount to stealing and we would file a police report. It was at this point that we were threatened and told by a very volatile gentleman he is "connected to gangs," and knows our hotel room number because we had to disclose the room # when we booked our ticket. The hotel wound up having to implement additional secuurity during our stay. Dreams Tours then said these men they have on the streets in the hotel district are not their responsibility even though they only sell tours for Dreams Tours, and Dreams Tours exchanges thousands of dollars with them on a day to day business. We were only told these people are "thugs," and to just let it go and accept our loss for our safety. The police officer we met with informed us companies like Dreams Tours sometimes take money from tourists, but don't provide the tour as a way of increasing profits. However, we could have the situation is fixed by showing him our receipt. Our receipt read only that it was paid in full referencing receipt one, and supposed to leave on 8/30. We needed a receipt to show us how much we paid - the first receipt showing we paid $280. The issue is in order to go on any trip with Dreams Tours you must turn over your receipt after you pay, and cannot even take a picture of it (in hindsight, you should and must take a picture before hand). Dreams Tours issues you no new receipt, and we were told the receipts are kept in a safe on the second floor and only the owner has a key. Of course, the owner is never in. Basically, there's no way to get the receipt. Why would a business possibly put the receipts in a safe no one can access unless they're intending to defraud the customers? So we lost our money, there was no tour and our safety was threatened. This is Dreams Tours. I'm sure other people will be on to share similar experiences, and maybe we could all band together to warn future tourists about them. This is a threat to all tourists of all creeds from all countries.

Dreams tours, what can I say I bought ATVs with and it was the worse expensive I have ever had, they schedule my pick at 6:50 am,got pick up at 7:30am on a van from there got transferred to a bus, got taken to a meeting point we waited there until 10:30am no one game answers to why we were waiting long story short did not get to the activities until 12noon. 2:30 hrs of activities we waisted our whole day. From 6:30 to 5 pm just for two hrs of activities not recommend at all. The worse company to do tours with.

The guy who sold us the tour tickets.

We walked past it daily and visited almost frequently! Featuring fun travel locations by Xcaret, it is conveniently located in the "hotel zone" of Cancun, Quintana Roo. We received great service by Sergio Manyolejo and Karen (who's last name I didn't get). We went on several great trips during our stay in Cancun, which included: Xcaret Plus, Sea Trek Encuentro Con mayas Xcaret, TiBurones Aventura Interactiva Xcaret, and Cena Gran TLaChao Xcaret. Each trip deserves a review of it's own. So I'll just say here, that this is THE place to schedule your tours. We got personal service from beginning to end. They made all the planning arrangements to pick us up from our hotel, transportation to our chosen theme parks, complete with guides & maps, and of course getting us back safely to our hotel again. Each adventure is not cheap, but it is money well spent. After all, it's a vacation! We deserve to splurge sometime! The most memorable parts of our vacation was made possible by Excursion Travel! They are constantly cleaning the resort and are more than helpful with anything you ever need. There is a 24 hour bar that also has sandwiches, fruit, nachos, and other things to eat anytime you are hungry. We loved this bar and loved the bartenders the best! The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is, I feel like it needs some of its own activities amped up. The only activities we really had here were simple little ones at the pool or at the area where people can sit at a theater type place. If you want a really great time, you can be shuttle to another RIU property, which is so much fun!

We stayed in the small building this time. There's also two ocean sides: rocky (near beach volleyball is played and good for collecting shells) and non-rocky side (water is clear and great for body surfing). There is a spa and gym on-site. Multiple pools and bars. Pros: Gorgeous ocean views. Great hotel layout with lots of palm trees. Very clean. Rooms were spacious. Bed was comfy. The mini fridge was packed with water bottles, pop, and beer. I had a balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean, which I loved. Staff are very nice. Band/singer that plays before the show were great. Food was good. Good selection of food options. Good selection of restaurant options. Each restaurant posts a menu (in multiple languages) for the day's meals. Buffet over looks ocean. Neutral/meh: this hotel loves their parties. Every day there's a different theme. Busses take people to the RIU Caribe. There is a discotech that opens after the evening's show. Restaurants work on a beeper system since they do not take reservations. Alcoholic drinks can be strong. Evening shows were OK some nights. Cons: when we checked in, my room was not ready. They told me that they woukd email me when it was ready (did not receive). Did eventually get my room. While they had activities (listed on app), not all of them were played/hard to find. If it's super windy out, the elevators don't go pass floor 2 in the small building. You have to use the stairs. We came on a windy day and one of the workers allowed us to use the service elevator because we didn't want to lug our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Can hear your neighbors upstairs and can hear people out in the hall. Overall, we had a great time!

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.

The views were insane and we felt like royalty! Our friends got the Jr Suite rooms and their rooms were equally just as nice (in case you are looking to save money, no matter what, get that frontal sea view room!!!!) The hotel is a palace and we were able to explore other hotels around (Caribe night party was super fun! And the Cancún next door was more lively at night and had better social life!) The staff were super friendly and made sure our cups were ALWAYS full and we were happy!! It's also NO KIDS, so you never had to worry about crying babies or kids running over your stuff at the pool/beach! The food: The buffet was great (not like normal hotels cheep buffets) this place had amazing staff and the quality of the fresh food was so shocking! There were endless options each day. There are also other restaurants at the hotel, our favorite was the Japanese one, the food was so good (we got multiple dumpling orders TO-GO back to our room. The steak house was good as well, just it gets BUSY and you need to book in advance to ensure you'll get a table. The Italian one was very American Average, nothing crazy stood out, but again the venue vibes were great! The 4th one, we never went to cuz the menu didn't fit our desire, but it looked cool from the outside! Cons of this hotel: The 24hr snack lounge had this kinda funky cleaning smell? I don't know how to describe it but my clothes coming home had that odor on it. Also The beach was kinda small/narrow so there wasn't much room if you came down around lunch. Chairs/loungers were also a VERY hot item and it was hard to find chairs after 10am most days. If you like to drink, there isn't that "top shelf" quality of liquor here, it's kinda average... but the bartenders were able to make virtually any drink and we never had a single bad drink! Transportation: No one (not a single person) told us that you need to confirm your return transpiration the day after you arrive (and the travel people can be found out at the stage lounge are most mornings). Riu had messed up and booked 2 out of 6 of our party on a VERY early pick up instead of having us all travel together. We had to rebook through the agent outside but I was able to get a refund when I go back home) ------------------ Overall, BOOK this hotel. The location, the perks, the quality of life here can't be beat! We are already booing our next 2 trips here LOL

The pool area, cabanas, and buffet stations were immaculate . Despite the rain, we had a fabulous time. One star deduction for not being prepared for my food allergies which the catering/ banquet staff was aware of for more than three weeks. Thankfully, the staffed hurried to find two items that I could eat. Besides the price (extra $127/night for a toddler), we had a wonderful experience - the food (both quality and variety), the well-kepted grounds, the amenities (Kid's Club, gym, pools) and the service are all top-notch. Food: there are food available from 6AM to 11PM. Some places I visited multiple times are: The cafe (opens from 6AM to 11PM) - coffee, tea and Frappe available all day. I usually stopped by after the gym (yoga near the beach at 7AM) to grab a iced latte and freshly baked pastires (dulce de leches cruffin is my favorite). Habaneros (opens from 12-6PM) - this is a casual spot serving tacos and ceviche on the beach. Even my toddler enjoyed the mixed ceviche with octupus. I enjoyed the ceviche, salmon toastada, and octopus tacos, while my toddler playyed with sand on the beach next to the table. Moongate (opens after 5PM) - the only restaurant that requires reservation, but for Teppanyaki ONLY. We were able to make a reservation for 5PM about 3 days in advance. The Teppanyaki chefs are all super energetic and made the experience fun for both kids and adults. We went back for dinner, and enjoyed some Asian Fusion dinner of ramen and sushi/rolls. My favorites include Short-rib, Teriyaki Salmon and the Omakase Nigiri. Trade Winds (opens for breakfast and dinner) - best steak in the resort. Last but not least, it took me 3 days to find my non-alcoholic drink of choice - strawberry mojito. I'm not a fan of the pina colada here, just FYI. One thing I don't like is the dolphins in captivity. I know it's a major attraction of the resort, and my kids honestly enjoyed watching the dolphins swim around and being trained. This hotel was great!…read more It is situated in an ideal location in the hotel zone. This is a budget hotel amongst the pricier places. I've attached pictures to show the inside of the room I stayed in. The room overlooks the alligator lake, which I found it to be nice. Don't worry, no alligators will come after you. But, if you're lucky enough you might be able to spot a few here and there. The room had a kitchenette (full oven/fridge), a decent size bathroom, a dining area in the first part of the room. As you walk to the second section of the room, you find the bed, bay windows, couple chairs and a table. Also there was a sofa bed. The bed is ok, good enough for a nights rest after walking the beach. The hotel is situated right next to shops restaurants, bars and everything else. COCO BONGO is a five minute walk away. Before I forget, there is plenty of dishes in the kitchen in case you felt the need to cook. This place is amazing because it's literally across the street from CHEDRAUI SELECTO (upscale walmart). You want to stop here to stock up on goodies and souvenirs before heading back home. You have dollar beers, wine coolers, and other alcoholic drinks. They sell everything you need here! DO NOT AND I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY SOUVENIRS anywhere else as they are all the same out on the street only the markup is 3/4 times more then this store. So save yourself money and buy whatever you need here. Before heading out to Cancun I too, did some reading and ended up visiting the MERCADO 28 (market28). DO NOT GO HERE! This place used to once be a locals open air market and now it has turned into a market for tourists only. EVERYTHING here is overpriced, even the food! DO NOT GO HERE. Now to the good parts of the trip... You can visit PLAYA MARLIN, to enjoy a day at the beach. Once there you can rent your own umbrella and chairs for $200/300 for the whole day. You will enjoy crystal clear blue beaches there. You can take the R1 bus anywhere in the hotel zone for $10 pesos (.50american cents) one way.

I am looking at hotels to stay in Mexico. I'm comming from the US for dental work and this is one…read morein a dozen hotels referred to us. But the towel jar definitely made up my mind. I cannot believe how you want someone to either use the same towel for 3 days or pay a price for a clean one each day. I've stay all over the US and never heard of such a thing. And do you know how dirty that makes your hotel look? Disgusting! I'm surprised you can get anyone to stay there. This is unheard of in the states
