The operator of the Aaron Limousine Service vehicle conducted himself in a way that would not be…read moreconsidered professional. The vehicle number is TCP 32932-B. California licence plate number 09059UI.
It started when, after waiting in the second lane from the curb for a few minutes, he decided to let his passengers disembark just as the cars in the curb lane started moving in that lane to exit through a space that opened up in front of him. His passengers had to step out of his vehicle into the curb lane, as the vehicles were moving past them.
I was directly behind him with just enough space to turn into the curb lane without hitting his vehicle. However, I was prevented from doing that by the way in which he unloaded the luggage from his vehicle, placing it all directly in front of my vehicle, then moving the luggage to the curb. When he had moved all the luggage to the curb, I was able to move into the curb lane, where he stepped into my path, glaring at me. I was able to proceed past him once he moved towards his vehicle, all the time glaring at me. I then mouthed an expletive at him through the window as I moved, slowly past him into a position at the curb. This angered him and as I stepped out of my vehicle he confronted me, asking, in a very loud voice, what I had said. I told him he knew what I said. At this point he flew off the handle, shouting expletives at me in front of a sidewalk full of international travelers, including families with small children. I told him that what he had done and was doing was unprofessional. I had to shout to be heard, as he continued to shout at me the whole time, punctuated with more expletives.
He continued shouting expletives at me as I was trying to say goodbye to my elderly in-laws, whom I was dropping off. They were very clearly upset by this altercation that I was having.
It seemed he was all shouted out, as I was moving back to my driver's door, and had started to move, himself, to get back in his vehicle. I reached into my car to grab my cellphone to take a quick picture of his license and vehicle number. By this point he was back in his vehicle, and when he realized that I was attempting to photograph his bumper, he jumped his car towards me, using the vehicle to threaten me with physical harm.
When I shouted at him that he was using his vehicle as a weapon and that was an illegal act, he got out of his vehicle and started shouting expletives at me again. This second round of expletive peppered ranting went on for more than 10 minutes.
At some point I actually dialed 911. I was starting to feel that he might be unstable enough to assault me, given his vehicular threat.
I did manage to goad him into iving me a company card, although, not his driver's license. When I called the number on the card he had given me, the person on the other end asked me a couple questions regarding where I had this altercation and my name.
However, when I offered the vehicle number, they weren't interested, saying they only had one vehicle at the airport and they didn't need the number. I said that there were a lot of limousines at the airport and I could just give them the vehicle number, so they could be sure. Again, they declined and said they would talk to the driver and get back to me, in about 10 minutes.
That was 2 hours ago, which is why I am lodging this complaint. Aaron's Limousine Service wasn't even interested enough to find out what kind of conduct, by one of their drivers, would push somebody to take the time to call with a complaint.
Clearly, they have about as much concern over their public image, as personified by their drivers as a second rate late night taxi service. Not a "luxury" limousine service.
