I forgot I had a screen protector on and that was what cracked. He could have easily taken the phone in the back removed the screen protector and charged me for a "new screen". Needless to say he became my go to place for any electronic repairs needed. Couple days afterward, I really cracked my Apple Watch and was heartbroken. Apple wanted about as much as a new watch would cost to fix it. Aaron's price was fair and he even fixed the crown which had become unresponsive after the screen cracked. I had him call the owner and then the owner gave me a third quote for $200. Whatever just replace the screen. They replaced the screen and now I'm having trouble with the sensor at the top so when I use WhatsApp and try to play a voice clip the phone screen turns black like I'm covering the sensor even though the phone is a few feet away from me. Sometimes I can't take phone calls unless I hit the power button to close the phone and hit the power button again to show the screen. I have a lot of issues with the touch screen not responding. The top of the phone where the screen meets the housing flexes in and out so my best guess is that they didn't glue the top properly. I called the owner asking for a refund and my old screen back but he refused the refund and offered to replace the screen. He told me that this is a third party screen which I can confirm because I saw the Chinese letters on the box. He said that the functionality might be different because it's not an OEM screen. Could have paid $100 more and went to uBreakiFix and had a perfectly brand new screen. Which is what I wish I would have done in the first place. My suggestion to anyone coming here is to avoid this place!! The phone call with the owner ended up in a yelling match with him trying to talk over me and me trying to talk over him with me hanging up at the end. This place did offer to replace the first screen that they messed up. They can't get it right the first time why do they think that I would allow them to touch my phone a second time. Plus they wouldn't offer a refund which is what I wanted. They replaced my old screen and now this one has tons of issues and the screen isn't glued at the top and it's pulled away which is visibly noticeable. I'm just going to take the $200 loss and then when this screen goes I'll go to ubreakifixit

He told me $55 for a new battery and he could do it right then and it would only take 15-20 minutes. Considering the Apple store requires leaving your phone and costs more I gave it a shot. The place was on a major road and easy to find and true to his word, the job was done in less than 15 minutes. In addition, he replaced my rear facing camera for just $30 and now my phone is as good as new. Having been referred, and Needing to drive halfway across county the following morning, I felt more comfortable after speaking to the young Russian gentleman with a bob and the business owner (both reassuring me it was a routine procedure), i consented. 90 minutes later I have a phone that stayed turned on overnight and doesnt burn my hand when touched. As for my data problem, the gentleman provided instructions for how to move the data without losing it. After speaking to an Apple tech, who advised I get a new phone because my version 11 phone has only half the capacity of the newer phones out there because "the upgrades require more just to run the phone" and since I can't afford one at the moment, this is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill !
