I called the dream team because of an emergency leak in my basement and they sent out a manager Mike Barron who took one look at my old house and saw $$$. Mike came back with a camera a few days and purposefully painted a picture of utter ruin to try to sell me 30k sewage pipes replacement with an addition 20k to replace my old boiler. They then started to push their public adjuster Royal Adjusters to "get the most from my insurance" and also financing options. They spent hours feeding into my panic as a first time home owner and my only solace is that they did that all for free, wasting time giving me a lesson in scam artists. I had gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions and realized my issues didn't even stem from what they wanted to sell me. I now know that any real plumber could have diagnose my issue instead of their hours long misdirection. If you need help, ask your friends and neighbor and not yelp or google because these guys spend more time on advertising and intimidation than real work. read more

The dream gave me a estimate 1200 for a running toilet.had another company do it for 300 so be careful that you dont get overcharged.

Hired to clean a dryer vent and didn't do that. Instead, inspected my water heater and home heating system which they were not authorized to touch and which I didn't know they were doing this in the basement. Rather than clean the dryer vent, the technician spent a half hour in my kitchen trying to sell me $5000 package deal involving the hot water heater and the home heating system. When I said "no" to the $5000 package deal, the tech left without doing the work I'd hired the company to do- clean the dryer vent. I had a better company come out to clean the dryer vent 2 days later and they discovered that the Dream Team technician (salesman) had left the dryer vent disconnected, which was a terrible safety hazard for me and my family as this is a gas dryer. Luckily none of used the dryer in those 2 days. I've had a technician out to inspect what he might've done fiddling with the water heater and while the water heater checked out ok, it was not about to blow up and flood my basement as the Dream Team technician (salesman) said it was. He applied high pressure "everything is going to blow up tomorrow" sales tactics to sell a $5000 package, touched home equipment he shouldn't have, left a serious safety hazard, and didn't do the job he was hired to do- clean the dryer vent. This is not the first time that a company hired to do something else went straight to my water heater and tried to sell me on a package deal involving the water heater for $1000's of dollars. With "low monthly payments". I was already wise to the tactics and had already paid the price of having to have someone else come out later to inspect everything they touched. read more

Came out to my home several weeks ago to service my tankless hot water heater... charged my wife an arm and leg to do routine maintenance and said nothing significant was wrong with the heater. Two weeks later, we still have no hot water and just found out that something pretty severe is wrong with the machine. I feel like we got completely scammed. read more

When I did not receive the text confirmation they reference in the communications, I emailed multiple times and called. I tried making a call for an estimate on (heavier duty) duct cleaning. We were about to make an appointment with an exact time but then found out the estimator had to be alone and not with another estimator at the same time. The session also had to be 1.5 hours long, and my lunch break is 1 hour long. I didn't want to take off a half a day for an estimate, leaving me with only a random weekend/Saturday. 7 AM was the earliest they could do and I'd need 630 AM or earlier during the week. Maybe after 5 PM would've been a possibility during the week, but there was uncertainty if that was a possibility or not. Then, I was told that they'd give me a call back about their availability. It's been at least a week since that conversation. The reviews here seem quite mixed. read more

We had an urgent electrical issue and Dream Team came out and fixed it promptly. Being impressed, we requested a quote to have several items corrected in the house, as there was some quite ... creative wiring. After receiving the quote, I made the decision to move forward. Phil, our original tech, came out and spent most of the day working. Everything was wonderful! However, a single light outside was not able to turn on, which he said wasn't an issue, he'd be back the next day with someone else to get it working. Almost a month, and several calls later, turns out it was a bait and switch, as they now want $1900 to fix the last light! And, they left a part of my back fence dug up where the wire was supposed to go, so now we need to fill it in. Update: after I posted this review, things were finally taken care of, about two weeks later. I will leave this review as, make sure everything to be done is clearly written down and nothing is left to complete before your technician leaves. read more

Stay away from these crooks. In 2021, we had them replace our A/C condenser and replace a piece in our basement. When I looked at their quote, I asked, "Wait...if I choose my own A/C condenser...that seems like it's going to save me like $2,500, is that right?" "Yes, but we wouldn't be able to cover that with our warranty." "But the unit costs about $3,500, so if it has any issues, the odds of those issues costing more than $2,500 are extremely remote." Their rep shuffled his feet, gave me some shifty side-replies, and I eventually pinned him down to, "Yeah, probably." So they tried to screw us out of $2,500 for the privilege of choosing our A/C unit, which is the one I picked by myself after 15 minutes of online homework. They did the same thing with the component in our basement, except they hurried and ordered the part without my OK, before I could do the same thing and order it myself. They overcharged us about $800 for one $250 part. But wait, there's more. To be honest, we missed a couple payments to them because we were going through a lot of family crises, and they put a mechanics' lien on us and a law suit, so we paid them IN FULL 2 days after being served the papers. Fast-forward to May 2024 (when this was written), and we were served new papers for a renewed lawsuit...for a bill we paid in full 3 years ago. I learned that the mechanics' lien was sill in place on our property, which would have hurt us if we had tried to refinance or sell our property (which thankfully we hadn't). So this company hit us with a wrongful lawsuit because of either shoddy book keeping or a desperate attempt to squeeze money out of people because maybe they're starting to fall into the red... Either way, steer far clear of these people. They have predatory practices in place and are either grossly incompetent at record keeping, or that's just another way they try to steal from their client base. Dream Team my ass. We called to repair a toilet flushing mechanism. During the un-requested review of our house, the plumber found a leaking garbage disposal. They told us the cost of the service but would not breakdown the charges between labor and parts. They charged us over $1000 for both. I found the garbage disposal listed on Home Depot for $139. I did not lookup the toilet flush part. The company grossly overcharges and refuses to reveal the cost of parts. Obviously, we will never use them again. read more

I'm Reviewing solely on customer service bc I did choose another plumber (that was my neighbors friends company). But if that didn't happen I Would have hired the dream team for sure. They actually came out on the same day I called. 2 young men Chris and Tyler arrived on time after a heads up call. They were super professional and courteous. Chris was Really knowledgeable and explained the situation and my choices. Amazingly they were able to give me a quote and 3 options of prices and levels of work in 20 mins. All explained in details and all questions answered. Normally I wouldn't leave a review for a company that i didn't actually use, but dear lord - even getting calls back from most plumbers is impossible. An electrical came to repair 2 recessed light fixtures. We told him that we thought that the fixture needed to be replaced, but he claimed that he repaired them. They worked for several hours and then stopped working. When he came back to check them, he wanted to charge an additional $400 to fix them ( I already paid $218). We agreed on a lesser price for the company to order fixtures to replace them. That was 3 months ago and I have called at least 10 times to follow up on them. I recently complained on a chat line and asked the company to refund my money. i was told that someone would contact me. That was over a week ago and I have not been contacted. During the last 3 months there were also many unreturned phone calls. the work was substandard and customer service is poor. read more

Tech came out and told me 'to read the brochure" after he couldn't set the day light savings timer for outdoor lights that he had just installed. The tech said he had to see his kids perform in high school event and didn't have time. That was October 2022. July 23 Service manager came out and said he didn't know how to fix it? They also installed a thermostat for my AC in October of 22 and it wasnt compatible with Bryant AC units. I discovered this when I went to Turin AC on this year. Service manager came out, revewed the thermostat, and said it was wired wrong. Jokers. I mean bad as it gets. Service manager they hired around Oct of 22 said he would call me and fix their mistake. The first time I was forgotten about with no good explanation how and the second time I asked for a Tuesday appointment but they put me in for a Thursday appointment (a day I am not even at home). On June 28th I got GOUGED! On Jan 20th I had a ceiling fan put in and including coming out and installing the fan. It cost $200. On June 28th I wanted another ceiling fan installed. And just in passing I wanted them to see if there was a wire loose in 2 of our light switches, (would flicker at times). Turns out he put in a new switch in 1 and adjusted some wire in the other one. Took him 15 min for both. In fact, in the itemized receipt, in parenthesis, on the bottom was written..."2 minor adjustments to 2 light switches". THAT cost around $250! My bill for virtually the same thing I had done on Jan 20th plus those "minor", light adjustments was $456. I was stunned. I did pay and didn't complain. I figured to get the info on everything from the Dream Team service managers. Sure enough....those 2 light switches, that took 15 minutes were the difference between the 1st ceiling fan price and this one. GOUGED! Never again. To add....I had them give an estimate for some underground wiring running from an outlet on the corner of my house to a floodlight in the front yard to light up a tree. They gave me an estimate of $1500. Just now, today, 7/8/21 I had the job done by an electrician. $600. They were going to gouge me again. I guess I should count my blessings they only ripped me off once. read more

Kelly picked up the phone at 10pm on a Saturday, and had someone at my house early Sunday morning... I did not hear back from the other companies until Monday/Tuesday, and by that time Kelly had already started the work on my home. I'm grateful for their responsiveness. Not only that, they were wonderful to work with, dealt directly with my insurance company to ensure I was getting the best coverage, and did an outstanding job in the work on my home.
