But it wasn't just the beauty of the arrangements that impressed me most - it was the heart, thought, and care that went into every single piece, and that really shined through on the day of. We inquired over a year in advance after seeing Lana's work at The Club at Ruby Hill wedding open house. Lana was responsive and took the time to go over everything I was envisioning for the day, from centerpieces to arches to aisle pieces to bouquets. When I brought up the idea of a floral chandelier, Lana was so excited to bring my vision to life and work with me to create the chandelier of my dreams, which was refreshing, since some other florists I'd inquired with weren't as enthusiastic about the idea. Lana is also super transparent with pricing, going through line by line what each piece would cost, and I found her rates very reasonable for the luxurious arrangements she offers. I also loved that I'd be able to reuse my ceremony arch and aisle pieces at the reception to surround the sweetheart table, which felt very much worth it. We also got a one-hour in-person design meeting with Lana about a month before the wedding, where she prepped a sample centerpiece and made real-time adjustments to her floral recipe based on our preferences. She was so receptive and detail-oriented, going over small things like where to leave the bouquets and boutonnieres on the day of, plus all the candle and centerpiece base options we could choose from. We were feeling a little burnt out from wedding planning by that point in our lives, but Lana left us with renewed enthusiasm and excitement for our wedding. On wedding day, Lana and her team were there bright and early. I think the first sight of the florals brought me to tears. They worked hard all day to transform the venue into the pink peachy princess wedding of my dreams. The team also added smaller bud vases to my In Loving Memory table and Sweetheart table, which was such a sweet touch. Despite being so busy, Lana still took the time to secure my personal bouquet charm so it wouldn't dangle around and would stay in place. I also found out afterward that our welcome banner was falling due to the wind, and Lana took the time to secure it with rope, even though it was completely outside her scope. I understand that she was busy, but as a business owner, she should have reached out to me if she was unable to present the proposal in the estimated timeframe given. I even had my first meeting / call with her while at the emergency vet with my dog who almost died. So, this was important to me. Working with Lana for our wedding was a dream. Right from the start she was proactive in understanding what we wanted and making sure that it could be done. She took the time to visit the location, put together a suggested floor plan, and create a proposal that included a color palette, inspirations, and details of what we requested. Throughout the planning phase, she was engaged and met with us several times. On the day of the wedding, she was there with two helpers to put together the flower arch and guide them on what to do. She listened to what we wanted and made suggestions on what would work best based on her experience. For example, when we told her that we wanted to paint glass jars, she warned us to make sure it was done correctly to allow for condensation because bubbling could occur and ruin the vase. She also makes things just right. I requested a hair piece, and my hair dresser complimented on how it was the perfect size (another hair piece she worked with earlier that week was too big and she needed to cut it) and how easy it was to place into my hair. We wanted an assortment of flowers that were in season at the time of the wedding and created a more organic feel, and she delivered. All the flowers looked amazing, and I loved the mix. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Lana. She started with a phone call to learn about what we were looking for. Next, she made a google doc and started finding stock photos of others to make sure we were all on the same page. "this kind of shape, but that kind of color..." this made it really clear, it was an easy way for us to communicate visually about what we were trying to achieve. She offered many of her own great ideas, but also listened carefully and took all the changes we asked. She agreed to make individual place cards for each guest, each mounted on a potted succulent. Lana absolutely exceeded my expectations! I was talking to our photographer and decided last minute to try and order a bridal bouquet + boutonniere from anywhere that would take us. About 24 hours before we needed them, I called Dream Flowers because the other flower shops I called didn't pick up. Lana asked what I was looking for and said she'd do her best to put it all together for us, but would have to see what she could get at the flower market in the morning. She asked me to send her inspiration pictures and I did just that. I also provided my partner's outfit for the day and let her know which flowers I would prefer more of and which I didn't really care for. She took all of that feedback and assembled the most beautiful bridal bouquet and boutonniere, she added an ivory ribbon to match my dress, a charm to add additional bling, a ribbon to match my partner's suit and tie (with pearl/bridal pins I might add!!!!), and even sent us on the road with a vase with a little water, a safety box for the car ride, and a paper towel to dry the stems when we arrived to our destination! Lana and the Dream Flowers Team made my wife's and my wedding dreams a reality! We contacted Lana about 16 months before our wedding day because we were so impressed by her detailed oriented work that was showcased on her and our venue's Instagram. Our first conversation with Lana was very welcoming and her planning process made my wife and I comfortable enough to express what we truly wanted for our wedding without feeling judged. No matter what idea we suggested to Lana, she never made us feel like it was impossible or that the idea was a bad one, which we appreciated. Additionally, she also was very transparent with how much each item we wanted would cost while also being aware of our budget. Throughout the wedding planning process, we contacted Lana many times to make changes, ask questions, and clarify logistics and she was always able to make time for us despite her busy schedule all the way until the special day. The wedding day was the first time we met Lana in person and we immediately felt as if she was a long-time friend. While the bridal party was getting ready, Lana was very patient and friendly while trying to pin over 14 Boutonnieres for me, the groomsmen, and parents; 3 corsages for the mothers, and 10 bouquets for the bride, MOH, and bridesmaids. She also made sure flowers were added to the cake once it was delivered to the venue hours before the start of the ceremony and that each floral arrangement we used at our ceremony was able to be transported and repurposed at the reception to avoid waste. One particular memory that stood out to me was while Lana was finishing up the flowers at the venue - she saw from afar that my boutonniere was slightly flattened from hugging family and friends during pictures and without hesitation pinned a new boutonniere on me which showed how much Lana cared about her clients and every detail of our wedding. Another example that showed how much Lana cared about us and our wedding was something we witnessed just before our ceremony - although Lana was done with all of the floral arrangements she spent some time documenting her unique behind-the-scenes POV of our wedding which we were honored to see on her social media. The floral arrangements at our wedding were truly amazing and many of our family and friends could not stop talking about them even 6 months after our wedding has passed!
