What a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. I ordered a colorful flower bouquet and I was pleased.

I ordered the "Premium" tier arrangement--their highest, most expensive option, well in advance for Mother's Day because I was traveling for work and wanted to make sure my wife was taken care of. What actually arrived was an absolute joke. The arrangement was entirely lopsided. One entire side was completely bare of flowers, showing nothing but green filler. To make matters worse, it was missing some of the promised irises and arrived in a cheap clear vase with a blue ribbon instead of the actual blue vase I paid for. It didn't even meet the standards of their "Standard" tier, let alone the Premium. When I called to address this, the staff offered nothing but empty sympathy. They hid behind a strict "72-hour policy," completely dismissing the fact that I was traveling across time zones. Because I couldn't inspect the flowers the second they landed, they refused to offer a replacement, a partial refund, or any meaningful fix. They were perfectly happy to take my premium tier money, but completely uninterested in delivering a premium product or fixing their own blatant mistakes. If you want a florist that actually takes pride in their work and stands behind their service, especially for major holidays, look elsewhere. This place is a rip off. read more

can't complain about the service, but when I arrived to pick up my previously ordered arrangement, the arrangement was missing several of the components, and one of the employees corrected it quickly for me. However, the arrangement was not done artfully and was something I could have thrown together myself. For the price, I didn't think this was a good value whatsoever. There seemed to be a lot of uncles and cousins, putting arrangements together that day and granted, it was Mother's Day, but they should really be on their best game because I won't go back. read more

I was looking for a flower shop in the area to buy birthday flowers for the wifey. Thanks to yelp, this was 1st on my list so I decided to check them out. Parking is a little slim in that small business area due to other shops in the plaza. The moment I walked in, all the florists at the shop greeted me with a simple hello which is always a plus. The place felt welcoming and the employees there were very professional. I told them what my needs were and they got to it. Love the bouquet they put together and the price! Had a great experience buying flowers at Gigis, had a last minute birthday that I needed a bouquet for and it was for my 90 year old grandma. I told the salesperson what I was looking for and my budget and they put together a beautiful custom gold and red bouquet that made a lasting impression on my family. Since I was a walk in it took a few minutes to put together the flowers but I could see they had many other custom orders ready for pick up and delivery. I appreciate that they took the time to accept my request even though it was a Saturday and I needed it asap. Will definitely come back in the future for any floral gifts or occasions! read more

I recently ordered an arrangement for a funeral, went in, showed them a picture of what I wanted from their website and what I wanted the banner to read. It was all really fast, simple and straightforward. The day of the flowers were supposed to be at the funeral home at 9am on a Monday, it wasn't there. After a few phone calls, it finally came at 10am... I was disappointed it was an hour late and the funeral home was just down the street, but I understand things happen, they were also closed on Sunday, so that was probably difficult with such an early Monday delivery time. The arrangement was beautiful and looked exactly like the one online. And the extra arrangement they sent was even more beautiful and thoughtful. read more

Paid extra for a deluxe sympathy bouquet and the pictures I got from the recipients showed a skimpy version of the regular bouquet picture on the website. I was assured the bouquet would be nice and am very disappointed. $159 and only 3 roses and no Lillie's or any other flowers in the whole thing! Pretty weak tea. read more

My husband and I have been buying flower arrangements, bouquets etc from the owner for several years. She already knows exactly what I like and never fails to make me the most beautiful bouquets or arrangements for any occasion or just because. In 2022 she made my father and I the most beautiful arrangements for my mother's funeral. I showed her a picture of what I wanted for the casket and quite a few more arrangements such as a heart on a stand from me and another on a stand from my father, a beautiful arrangement in a vase to be placed next to my mother's portrait and a small one that goes inside the casket. My father was so happy and at peace knowing my mother would be surrounded by beautiful flower's because she loved gardening. I can call Lorena my amiga because she's always been there for me with flowers to fill my days with love. read more

And I apologize for saying it was a scam, because clearly you do care about your quality of business. Don't be like me, and ask questions before buying to understand what you are getting. I'm not sure if the difference is between the price-points, if you want the examples on the site and it's within your budget, the deluxe or premium is probably a stronger choice. Thank you again. A few days ago I ordered a special flower arrangement from Gigi's florist in Castro Valley. It was important to me that there were tropical flowers in the arrangement. When I picked up the arrangement, I was overwhelmed with how stunning the arrangement was. It included orchids, birds of paradise, ginger, anthurium and leaves and tropical flowers that I am not familiar with. In addition there were lovely roses, tulips, and stock. The flowers were very fresh and have remained so after several days. The recipients were overwhelmed with it's beauty and truly love it. It has brought them much joy and happiness. Thank you Lorena. Ordered flowers through Teleflora and this store was the one that fulfilled it. Delivery was good. Vase was different from the order but was still a good vase, not mad about that. However, the flowers were suppose to be an all-around orientation, but what I got was one-sided. Didn't think it was "premium" like I selected on the website. read more

I've been looking for a good florist in this area, and it's been pretty difficult. Gigi's has always been in Castro Valley but I found their arrangements in the past to be too traditional and even a bit dated for my tastes. But then I stumbled upon their IG page and their floral arrangements were so different than what's on this Yelp page! It turns out that they changed ownership. The photos here DO NOT do their flowers justice, so don't judge their work based off of what you see on Yelp. I ordered a custom hand bouquet for my niece's graduation and the bouquet was absolutely stunning and, even better, the price was very reasonable. I was expecting a smaller bouquet for the price range I gave them. I posted pictures of the bohere but go on their IG @gigisflorist to see pictures of their work now. I chose Gigi's since it's a local florist shop that has served the Castro Valley area for over three decades now. Lots of variety of floral arrangements to choose from and reasonably priced. In addition, I appreciated that they were able to apply the $10 Yelp check-in discount for me after the fact. Navigating and ordering via the website was easy enough. I think they could improve the website by having a "view all" function. My workaround was just clicking on every single category and viewing all the floral arrangements that way. The only downside is that they are closed on weekends, so if you're looking to pick up flowers on a weekend, might want to inquire about that. Understandably, they did substitute some of the flowers, but I was still happy with the end result and my mother loved them, which is what matters most. read more

I have purchased from Gigis for decades prior to their move. Had an occasion to receive flowers from them sent by a friend. The bouquet whose star was roses was in unacceptable condition. All the flowers were already open and on their way out. It was a clear base so you could see the water was dirty and the ends of the stems looked ripped off and not cut. The stems also looked mushy and slimy. It was a mess. The roses had rust on them and were drooping . I was Shocked by the condition these roses were delivered let alone allowed out of the shop. The filler flowers were near dead as well. I called the shop to advise them of the condition of the flowers. They apologized said they would come pick them up and drop Off another. I advised they could Pick them up but I did not want any replacements and to credit my Friend.. They advised they would come and pick up the flowers but we're unable to issue a credit. Conversation continued and I was told A credit of only 50% was possible. Now that makes good business sense deliver a product that's unacceptable and charge the customer 50% of the price. It's a shame the easy and correct solution would have been an apology, flowers picked up and credit issued no question. I am aware sometimes Mishaps happen but it's how you treat the customer as a result Of that mishap. I did not Want replacement flowers and it's not reasonable to request a refund. I spoke with the female manager on duty Friday 3-2-22 and she said at one point that's how those roses look. End of story Gigs flowers has lost my support. Tip; Use Safeway Florist in San Ramon. Quality flowers and reasonable prices. read more
