Wonderful experience at Point Loma location. Easy to find. Fast, easy, nice staff. Vacuum cleaners $3 recycle fee.

May 5, 2026 at 11:35 AM I had a really great experience at Dream E-Waste. I honestly thought it was going to be hard to find, but it ended up being super easy thanks to all the clear signs along the way. The staff were really friendly and helped me unload everything, which made the process even smoother. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, which I definitely didn't expect. Overall, super quick, easy, and hassle-free. I'd definitely come back again if I need to recycle more electronics! read more

After a disappointing third visit (after 2 previous 5 star visits), the owner rectified the situation and provided a swift, well thought out and kind solution. We were impressed with the owner. Thank you for addressing everything so quickly and with such understanding. Well done! We will be visiting your business again! read more

I was able to easily recycle my old dishwasher here for a small $10 fee (it was a large appliance, so small fee applied). They do lots of electronic product recycling, which I will keep in mind for the future. read more

I volunteered to get my mom's old PC tower hard drive crushed so that there would be no chance of her information being stolen off of it. BB also had some papers/documents she wanted shredded. We came here on a weekend, and found a spot in the lot (in front of a very old non-operational car). The streets were lined up with cars so it seems like it would be challenging to find a street parking spot. A car was actually waiting for us to leave because there was no other parking. Anyway, when I walked towards the back of the lot where the business is located, a friendly young man approached us with a big smile and asked how he could be of service. We told him we needed the hard drive physically destroyed, the rest of the PC tower recycled, and the documents/papers shredded. He brought out a hydraulic press type of equipment and crushed the hard drive in front of us. He also took the PC tower and placed it with a bunch of other electronic equipment which was slated to be recycled. Finally he took the documents and placed them into a locking trash type container. BB wanted to witness the document destruction but he stated that they don't offer that service. From seeing the whole operation, I felt confident that the documents would be secure until shredding (he stated it happens once weekly). The total cost for this was a meager 15 dollars. We paid and were on our way. Will definitely be back if we need to recycle electronics in the future! read more

We had a recycle event at our condominium building. Jeanette Shirley and Austyn from Dream were there to make it all happen. Very personable, helpful, and efficient. We plan to use them again in six months. read more

Discovered this business after it showed randomly on my social feed. They take anything with a plug or cord with no paperwork or fee. Not sure how the financials work out but power to them. Place is located on the back end of business complex making access a little difficult. Staff is very friendly and helpful. For free electronic recycling and to help the environment, place is definitely worth it. read more

Reviewing a recycling service?? why yes! I pulled up with a trunk full of older electronic equipment. Two young guys greeted me with smiles on their faces and introduced themselves. They chatted for a minute and cleared out my trunk. I guess they smiled and waved as I pulled away. What? This was actually a very positive experience! Nice job guys! read more

Staff was very helpful and unloaded everything. Very professional- in and out in a manner of minutes.

I have visited Dream Electronic Recycling several times to drop off TVs and appliances. The staff is always great and very helpful. I want to give a special shoutout to Chris, who helped me unload appliances for recycling. I highly recommend Dream Electronic Recycling for recycling services. read more

I dropped off some light bulbs and Corey was awesome! Super helpful and super kind. Definitely going back.

Excellent place to drop off electronics. I brought 2 large boxes and a computer and they offloaded it from my car. Can't ask for more

Free, Quick and easy, I drove up and dropped off my old electronics without a hitch. Furthermore, the staff was friendly and even helped me take my old items out of the car! read more

Quick and Easy!!! What else can I say!!! Located at the Public Storage facility on Coast Hwy in Oceanside. No large items like appliances. 2-Thumbs UP!!! read more

I keep coming back!!! I hate that people throw out electronics. This great little place recycles them and even spent batteries so they're not in some landfill. On 4/24/2025, it was probably my fourth or fifth time and one of the young men working there apologized for not seeing me to come to my car. How wonderful!! I had two laptops and the connection cords plus two supercharging packs. He was very polite. Now with my move coming, I'm sure I'll have more to drop off!! read more

Easy-peezy drop off. Equipment was removed from my vehicle by super nice guy...and that's it! Bam!

This is a super easy location, but watch out for a way to back out if you pull straight in. The employees are awesome-positive and upbeat. They even offered to unload everything from my car. So helpful and considerate! read more

They took all my old batteries! Including lithium, lead acid, and alkaline. What a service. The guy was super friendly too.

Convenient location, easy drop off process for electronics recycling, will return in the future.

What a great experience! I'm not quite sure how they make money, but I heartily approve of their operation. I strongly recommend that if you have anything with a plug that you want to get rid of, take it here read more

Friendly staff and easy drop off. I walked in after reading other reviews about the driveway. They destroyed the hard drives in two laptops while I watched. Easy peasy. read more

On driving up to their drop-off point, I was immediately greeted. An employee took everything out of the car and explained the process. Very friendly and professional. I was dropping off a personal printer, a stereo system, laptop sans drive, blender, broken shredder head, and miscellaneous old electronics, like digital thermometers that had bitten the dust. I hadn't been able to sanitize the printer hard drive for recycling (none of the HP online instructions worked). That concerned me. It was explained that all personal printers go into a pile within the company's locked yard, with them being crushed into a brick every 3 days. No one but employees are allowed in the yard. If you are getting rid of a computer, they will pull the drive for you (which would be my choice) or put it inside their building (also off limits to all but employees) for destruction. Ditto with phones you haven't been able to wipe. They take batteries as well (alkaline for a slight fee, based on poundage). read more

Really great service, friendly and helpful employees. They take most electronics, cords and batteries, too. Drop off was quick and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. read more

This was about the smoothest experience ever. Their hours are great! Arrived at 4:40 on a Saturday. I had boxed my stuff off and dropped it off. It took 7 minutes from the time I pulled in to the time I pulled out. They told me that they take LEDs and batteries, too, which I will bring to them next time! Hooray! read more

Easy, convenient, and the person who helped me made sure I didn't damage my vehicle getting the tv out.

I was able to drop off a bunch of electronics I was having trouble disposing of. No fee, no forms. Just a bunch of friendly people helping keep dangerous stuff out of the landfill. read more

Very, very good service. Highly recommend. Very professional. Will be going to this site every time I need to recycle.

Nice people and they take anything with a plug or cable. Looking out over the operation, I would not trust them with a working hard drive that contains personal data even after you erase it. Stuff is stacked up everywhere inside and outside. It's so crowded, you have to back up a couple hundred feet with cars all over on both sides and people walking. Very annoying and inconvenient. I will not be returning. read more

This place is the best. Zero hassle, zero cost, friendly service. I needed to get rid of an old monitor and keyboard and selected it because it was not too far. I was greeted by a cheery and competent young man who just politely took the equipment and that was it. No forms, no fee, nothing. It's located in an industrial area next to an auto repair and behind some shopping malls, and you have to take some windy streets getting there, but use your phone to direct you and you'll have no problem. read more

Great place to drop off electronics! Very friendly, quick and easy, and free!!! I will definitely bring more electronics here in the future.

The staff at Dream Electronic Recycling is wonderful. What a service they provide! We were treated very well, and Julian went above and beyond expectations. read more

very nice people work there, but it is very inconvenient. The drive way is hard to find, shares it with a mechanic. There is just a little sign, easy to miss. There isn't an easy way to get out, usually, you have to back up some distance past the garage and the cars parked there. read more

Good customer service , very helpful. And they assisted me as soon as possible Will definitely come back read more

I just discovered Dream Electronic Recycling and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I had accumulated a truck-load of electronic waste and I was trying to find a place to recycle it. I went to Miramar Landfill, but the line was extremely long and I didn't have time to wait. I went to Dream Electronic Recycling. Although it was a little tough to find, I arrived and four of their employees had my truck emptied in a couple of minutes. Everyone was very helpful, cheerful and efficient.
