Walked into Maui's and it was clean, organized, and seeing the food come out when I was waiting looked so fresh! I ordered coconut shrimp and the lobster Caesar wrap and it was all fantastic! My husband and I shared both and we were both so thrilled at the flavor, freshness, and portion size. I love coconut shrimp but hate when it's either soggy, flimsy, and all batter - not Maui's! The complete opposite! The lobster Caesar wrap was next and it had a great ratio of lobster to lettuce. The flavors all go so well together and it was a good portion! So yum! Highly recommend. I already can't wait to order another one!

I'm mourning the loss of what used to be not only AZ's best fish tacos and freshest poke, but also their S tier fries. Reading some of the reviews I thought it was just a change in name only. Unfortunately the recipes and food quality has changed as well. When I first moved here from Hawaii, I was resigned to the fact the most restaurants in AZ just didn't have the capacity to serve seafood as great as the islands. That was until I visited Coconuts at the old FLW and Scottsdale location. I continued to eat there as well as their new Shea location and also the location on Mayo, always eating consistently great fish tacos and poke. I would bring friends and family there who also enjoyed the fresh ingredients that reminded them of home. Surprisingly the fries on the side were also a standout but now the recipe changed and now taste just like every other takeout restaurant which is a shame. I know a lot of Hawaiian restaurants with fish tacos and poke have opened up in the area in the last few years, but Coconuts was always my go to for fresh fish and tacos and even their fries. I can't say the same about Maui fish tacos and will have to find somewhere else. On the plus side, the servers were excellent and friendly and they rightfully deserve some praise.

We recently asked our friendly butchers to introduce us to something we hadn't previously tried…read morehere. I grew up rurally and had never eaten pork chops bought from a store until moving away. Same with ribs. My father, a Journeyman electrician had friends who farmed and sold their own pork. None better! Rusty Nail's pork chops, especially their porterhouse cuts, are even better than the ones I recall so fondly from my youth. Tender, perfectly marbled and flavorful like none other. They're not "grocery store" cuts. We also bought a rack of baby back ribs. My least favorite step in smoking them is removing their membrane. Not only was this (attention to detail!) step already completed, they were fall-off-the-bone highest quality. So good! Unlike when I was young these chops can be grilled to medium or medium-well if preferred, preserving their juices and maximizing flavor. These too are now on our dinner favorites rotation. Simple seasoning with salt and pepper is all that's needed, although next time we're trying their seasonings. We will continue shopping here regularly. We've referred every friend who enjoys value and great meals too--in other words we have suggested to everyone we know to give these great people (and local ownership!) a try. Without fail our friends are truly grateful.

We are really lucky to have this butcher in the area…read more Pros 1. Prime beef 2. Wide variety; everything from chicken to alligator (yep, you read that right) 3. Very helpful and friendly employees 4. The loaded and twice baked potatoes when they don't have much pepper (just a personal preference). Just reheat slowly in foil until soft and melty. Trust me. They are delicious. If you want one with less pepper just choose one with less black specks. 4. Amazing price when they have a sale. For their anniversary they had 10 pounds of prime beef (their choice) for $110! Phenomenal price and great cuts were in my mystery box. Cons 1. Save your receipts just in case you need to return something. I bought two whole chickens that ended up smelling off/bad (rare instance that this happened here). I was able to return them because I luckily still had the receipt. Wouldn't have been able to return nor exchange without the receipt.

There are tables inside the restaurant and outside of the restaurant. While it was hot outside (in the 90s) the shade and wind made it extremely comfortable to sit outside. The bakery itself was extremely cute and new bakery items were consistently being brought out and restocked. I came with my (extremely picky) mom and she really enjoyed Paris Rendez-Vous. We both got the Ham and Cheese Croissant to stay, it had bechemal sauce inside of the sandwhich adding a nice creaminess. The to stay dish does cost a few dollars more than the to go dish. This is because you are served and also it comes with a light salad with Italian dressing. The salad was a nice addition to the sandwhich, it added the perfect amount of freshness. My mom got an apricot cheese danish to go, and she wishes she would have grabbed 3 more, she is insistent that they are the best vanishes that she has ever had in Arizona...so I would recommend checking that out. Overall it was a nice and quiet brunch spot, that I would definitely classify as a hidden gem in Scottsdale. I recommend checking it out.

The decor is beyond cute, and the overall atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. Having the option for outside seating makes it an even better spot to sit back and enjoy a meal. We were seated fairly quickly ( less than 15 min) on a weekday morning and sat outside to avoid the cacophony of indoor conversations. Beverages: Decent. Got a double shot of espresso with a separate glass of milk, and cup of ice to make my own latte. Kids got the fresh squeezed orange juice (lot of pulp), and a strawberry banana smoothie that didn't taste like real fruit though the menu stated it, and had a weird texture that coats the throat. Breakfast: Kids had the scrambled eggs which were reminiscent of the ones found at a hotel continental breakfast; wet and unnatural tasting. Apple Cinnamon Pancakes looked unappealing and tasted just as disappointing - regular pancakes with what looked like a can of apple pie filling dumped unceremoniously on top. Banana Cream Pancakes had decent banana slices but the "cream" was an odd glaze that had a chalky aftertaste. New Mexico Skillet with over easy eggs: Eggs were drenched in oil yet, remarkably, the best part of this dish. The hash browns were sliced rounds of undercooked, unseasoned potatoes. They were topped with onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, all unseasoned and dismally soft. It was sprinkled with cheese, and a pile of chorizo just dumped in one spot on the plate. Certainly seemed cooked separately as nothing meshed on the plate. Oh, and a few sad pieces of underripe avocado. This American cuisine was devoid of character and taste. We took a few bites of each item, looked at each other in disappointment, and gladly left the remainder on the table. Avoid if you have taste buds accustomed to good food.
