From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was beyond top-tier. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and the service was incredibly quick. We ended up purchasing a few extra items on the side, including some jerky for our dogs, and we can't wait to get home and see them enjoy their special treats too! To top everything off, Luke personally gave us a small gift. That thoughtful gesture really made our first visit feel special and showed us the kind of customer service and hospitality this place is all about. We will DEFINITELY be returning and telling all of our friends and family about this place. We can't wait to share it on our story and spread the word throughout the community. If you haven't been to Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse yet, it is absolutely worth a visit. Great service, amazing hospitality, and an overall awesome experience. Thank you, Luke and the entire team for making our first visit one to remember! We'll definitely be back!

I stuck to my go-to sandwich; a roasted turkey sandwich on sourdough. The sandwich was fresh, the meat was juicy, and the toppings added the right amount of crunch. All I needed was a pickle. Holy guacamole! What a great store! This is my friends favorite store and I was helping her out…read morewith the grocery shopping. I've only been to Lunardi's a few times but I have never been disappointed with an item. Let's start with the fresh fruits - they are actually fresh! My whole life I've avoided red delicious apples because they have always disappointed. These were so good it was like a different fruit. Crunchy the way a good apple should be. Sweet and flavorful and juicy, juicy, juicy. The red delicious has redeemed itself in my book and deserves to survive instead of burned to the last tree down to the ground. I always thought I hated apples but it turns out I hate bad apples. Of course, the grapes and the blueberries are equally good, but they are not the eye opening experience as with the red delicious, mostly because I've gone grape/berry picking. Then let us not forget the made to order sandwiches! I was awed by the selection of toppings. They actually had cucumber available. Not the most common veggie for sandwiches. Also they had low sodium ham. So for those of you on restricted diets, check out the sandwich bar. Since my friend shops here regularly, I knew Lunardis would have some of the more difficult items on the grocery list. I was impressed by how the selection was so well balanced. It ranged from popular supermarket staples to some fairly exotic choices. Sugar free, gluten free, low carb, low sodium. You can find it here. Prices ranged from reasonable for the supermarket regulars to some exotic prices for the exotic items. I was pretty stunned by the final price for one bag of groceries. Service goes the extra mile. For heaven's sake you just hand your basket to the staff and they take from there at the checkout. No need to pull the items out for the convenience of the staff. I had a tough time finding items since I've been in this store maybe three times. Always polite no matter how basic the question. Extremely helpful, one staffer walked me over to the correct selection. I might not have the budget to shop here as my go to supermarket but it's certainly worth a pilgramage to pick some some special items (the apples...) As you would expect for a high end store, it was damned near perfect. I never saw an item that was shopped empty on the shelves. Bottles and boxes were neatly lined up in orderly rows. It was almost shocking to see someone had plucked an item from the perfectly stocked shelf. Of course it was spotlessly clean; the floor was almost mirrorlike with a sheet of smooth polish. There was no odor, not from the butchers, the fish, the sandwich bar, not even the bakery! Some complete perfectionist clearly manages and loves this chain of stores. I noticed even the customers were either very polite or the store had deftly trained them. Covid rules were still in effect. A large percentage of customers still wore their masks. I felt very safe and wished I had brought along my N95 respirator or at least a mask.

I found this hidden gem in Los Gatos, and I'm so glad I did! It was my first time here, and OMG,…read morethe food was SO good. First, the place itself is really cute. I loved the decor and the ambiance, it felt intimate, cozy, and almost like being somewhere in Türkiye or the Mediterranean. Such a nice atmosphere for dinner. We started with the tzatziki, and I could honestly have kept eating it all night. It was creamy from the Greek yogurt, fresh, slightly citrusy, and so flavorful. The bread that came with it was warm and crispy, and together they were the perfect combination. To share, we ordered the moussaka (vegetarian), and it was delicious. It was rich, creamy, comforting, and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the different textures and layers, definitely one of those dishes where you keep going back for another bite. We also tried the Incik (Lamb Shank), and this was another highlight. The lamb was incredibly tender and flavorful, with a delicious tomate based sauce on top. But what really surprised us was the keşkek underneath. At first, we couldn't figure out what it was, we were wondering if it was some kind of mashed potato , but it had this creamy, thick texture that paired SO well with the lamb. I had never tried keşkek before, and wow... absolutely worth trying! The food was definitely on point this night. Service was good, the atmosphere was beautiful, and everything felt authentic and made with care. We're definitely coming back because there are so many other dishes on the menu I want to try. Such a great find in Los Gatos!

The person on the phone were nice and mentioned they have a-little surprise for us for our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were seated right away. We started with some delicious cocktails and the Meze combo appetizer. Pure Olive Perfection & Exceptional Pouring!…read more We Olive is a trusted favorite of ours, so when family visited from out of the country, bringing them here was an absolute no-brainer. As always, the service was top-notch. Our server was wonderfully warm and attentive, guiding us through the options with expertise and recommending an incredible 2023 Alfaro Family Estate Pinot Noir that hit all the right notes. We had a blast tasting a variety of sample olive oils. The standout lineup for me: Jalapeño: A vibrant, spicy kick Fresh Garlic: Bold, aromatic, and savory Organic Meyer Lemon: Bright, citrusy, and sublime I can already taste oven-roasted olives drizzled with that Meyer Lemon oil--my mouth is literally watering just thinking about it! To top off a fantastic visit, the gentleman guiding us through the olive oil tasting reminded us of their bottle refill discount. Since we have an empty We Olive bottle sitting at home, we already have the perfect excuse for another trip back very soon. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike!

Staff was attentive and really fast at helping people, so the line went quick. I went midday, right before lunch, and several pastries were already out. It sounded like they don't make the pastries at this location and they are brought over from the main location (which is much larger). This location is fairly compact, just enough room for folks to order in a line, and all seating (still limited) is outside facing the parking lot. Even then, there was a good selection of pastries and even a few "sandwich"/savory options (although quite limited). There's a handful of coffee/drink options as well. For the price, I thought it was a tad expensive, but overall I got the ham & gruyere sandwich and the matcha chocolate croissant and both were pretty good (although the matcha chocolate was sweeter than I expected). I would come back as a treat to myself, but it wouldn't be my first stop for pastries per se. Cute cafe though and very friendly staff.

Ideally, a croissant should have crackly, flaky, buttery layers. Theirs is not crispy enough. I feel this bakery prioritizes aesthetics over taste. The tastes and textures are not properly developed. Everything is overly sweet and bland. Same in their Santa Clara location. I tried pistachio basque cheesecake. You could taste cheese, but not caramelization from the Basque effect, or pistachio. Very basic. At their other bakery location, I tried a few matcha things and they were plagued with same problem. The matcha flavor was not pronounced and everything tasted ersatz and boring. Bummer. as it's a super cute little cafe in downtown Los Gatos and they have so many nice looking options.

The true definition of a hidden gem! I've known of J&P Cosentino Farm for years and knew the…read moregeneral area of where it was, but it really is tucked into a neighborhood so that you wouldn't find it unless you were looking for it. The farm sits at 2 acres and boasts a variety of fruit trees, some bee boxes, a small flower garden, and a very well stocked farmstand. The stand has a variety of in-season fruits and vegetables, starter plants and herbs (they had tomatoes and strawberries when I visited in April), and a bunch of locally made and seasonal goods. Not everything comes from the farm, but they source from other farms in the Bay Area and state, and local businesses. They also work with local businesses to use their produce for fun products like jams, cocktail mixers, and dried fruits. They have tours and events at the farm, we got a tour when we went and it was really cool to learn all about the history, see the different fruit trees, and then of course visit the farmstand after and shop around.

I finally got the chance to visit this local fruit stand and it really didn't disappoint. It's…read moretucked away in a really nice, quiet cul-de-sac in a clean neighborhood behind Branham High School on the south side. If you live in the Almaden or Branham area, it's such a cool little hidden gem and definitely worth stopping by. The fruit looked super fresh, though the prices are higher than I expected, more like Whole Foods level prices. I thought going straight to the source would mean much lower prices, but what you lose in price, you definitely gain in freshness. For example, their strawberries were $5 per little green basket (three for $15), which comes out to about $5 a pound. At Costco, organic strawberries are $5.49 for 2 pounds, roughly $2.75 per pound. The giant seeded watermelons were $12.49 here, compared to $6.49 at Walmart. (Suggestions from a visitor) A couple of friendly suggestions that I think would be really helpful: It would be great if they posted online what fruit is in season and what will be at the stand, along with the prices. That way people can plan ahead and know when to make the drive when their favorite fruits are available. Also, there are no signs letting customers know they can go in the back. I only knew because I saw pictures on Yelp. Locals who've been here before probably already know, but as a first-timer, it looked like an employee-only area so I didn't go back there. A simple sign would be awesome, it would bring more people to the back to sit, eat, and enjoy the space since most fruit stands don't have that nice extra feature. Overall, worth visiting if you don't mind paying a bit more for freshness.
