I sent pictures to Gary, he set up an appointment with a furniture representative who came out last weekend to see what might be wrong. An EASY fix. When they delivered the sofa, they forgot to add the two center legs that supported the middle of the sofa. I called to thank Gary for taking care of the issue. Delivery expectations were set for 12-weeks due to (1) a custom order, (2) holiday scheduling. After 12 weeks and still no delivery date, I tried contacting Gary numerous times. For the next 3 weeks Gary's only reply to email was "will check". When calling the office, the Beautiful Rooms staff was unable to provide any order details. When finally speaking to Gary, he placed me on hold repeatedly for "other customers" and explained that the manufacturer had a fabric issue. After contacting the manufacturer directly - they confirmed there were NO ISSUES with my selected fabric. Beautiful Rooms essentially BORROWED money and never placed an order. Gary eventually refunded the $3300 deposit and the furniture order was placed through another distributor.

It used to be when you came in they would display cool vintage appliances, stoves and even refrigerators sometimes. None of that today, just some new fiberglass tubs. I came here to find an old three-panel door. I was told by the greeter to go to the very back of the store. I walked past several full kitchen cabinet sets to enter what appeared to be a large unmarked extension of the store, albeit messier. There, I found four doors that were exactly what I was looking for. A less-than-polite young man approached me saying I couldn't be back here. They didn't mark the backroom entrance! Ok, put a sign out there buddy. I was later told the floor sign they displayed showing "Employees only" was removed so they could move some things around. Still that's no reason to be rude to customers! I proceeded to the door section. After looking for a while, I couldn't find what I needed. An older woman dressed in black volunteered to help. So I asked her specifically, did she have anymore of these 3-panel doors in the back room. To which, she said "If it's not out here we don't have it. We don't keep things in the back room." What a load, feigning helpfulness with the hopes I would take some of their old and beaten inventory off their hands. In the end, I couldn't justify purchasing anything off the floor. The stock was old, variety of stuff was way down, and helpfulness was nil. If you're looking for something special, go to your local ReStore. They'll be more polite, helpful, and they won't lie to your face and move you on like a piece of cattle. You might actually find what you're looking for.

Owner graciously met me downstairs, removed item from my car and took the time to inspect the item and point out the "gem" I procured as he compared my lounge to the "prefab won't-last-five-years chaise lounges of today. He asked questions on where the item will be stored (high traffic va low traffic areas of home) and when i answered he provided a plethora of fabrics to consider. Most importantly, he did NOT expect full payment that day! Whew!! What a relief. Starting a new business is expensive so not having to make full payment before work commenced made my day. Chair is absolutely a transformation. Comfortable and I can't wait to use as a prop. Love the oatmeal color I chose.
