It sounded like a cheap keyboard without any sustain to it. 2. Alec accidentally forwarded an email that was meant for his business partner in which he referred to me as a "problem" and because of that I was only getting one revision. That first revision was of poor quality. 3. After insulting me, they still didn't do the work I asked and paid them to do. I nicely called him out on the accidental email and he apologized but I felt that it was insincere because he didn't even try to improve my experience with them. I am very disappointed with Blcklbl. It was the worst studio experience I have had. I sincerely hope that this review and that of another unhappy customer help them to improve their work ethic and customer service skills.

But my last visit was long enough ago that it was at the former Watt Ave location. This new store is visually impressive. Plenty of space which gives the room a majestic feel. It's dramatically lighted. The overhead music system is not obnoxiously loud. It's a fun place to browse. The inventory is all good quality. Every item is a real musical instrument, not a junky toy. No Amazon type crap here. The 5 staff members I interacted with were all friendly and helpful. I stopped in with my family to buy some Xmas gifts for the grandchildren and a few cables for myself. I pre-shopped the items on the Skip's website. The items were in stock. We bought a mini electric guitar for the 6 year old grand niece who actually knows already how to play some basic chords. We also got her a small amplifier, cables, guitar strap... Everything she will need to start her musical journey. Pricing is pretty standard MSRP. I know the price structure at wholesale and retail level and was not going to haggle for a discount out of respect. Profit margin after all the business expenses is meager. There's a high riser stage for in store events & concerts. There's also programs when students perform. Great experience for students to begin public performances (Where, hopefully, they get prepared for paychecks when they graduate to playing at bar gigs, weddings, birthdays and maybe even the big time (if they work really, really hard)). If you or you little virtuoso wants some gear I highly recommend that you shop here rather than at Guitar Center. Shop local, support a family owned business rather than a corporation.

I looked a ton of videos during the interview process and I was not impressed by anyone's work except for Epic Studios. I was tearing up in the videos and I didn't even know these people. As soon as I spoke to Victor I knew that he was the videographer for us. Day of: I live in LA so Victor and I never met in person until the day of the wedding. He came in my room with his crew and introduced himself. My first impression was that he was genuine. That is one thing that I look for in people especially people that I hired for my wedding. He had 3 people in his crew (including himself). I also hired a photographer who had an assistant. You would think 5 people documenting your wedding is overwhelming and feels like a reality show. To be honest, Epic Studios was amazing and I didn't even notice that they were there. That is how it should feel in order to get your natural self :) Video Teaser: I just received my video teaser and am in LOVE. It made our family and friends tear up. A few things I was looking for: - Creative + cinematic footage shot from different angles. - Usage of visual footage, music, and audio from vows/speeches to tell a story (which includes rising action and a climax). - Audience retention: keeping my viewers excited the entire length of the film (if the film was going to be 10 minutes long, I wanted my viewers to feel like it was much shorter since they were engaged the entire time, rather than doze off in boredom). - Overall I wanted someone to create a cinematic film rather than just a video. Vitaily from Aperina checked ALL of those boxes. After months of researching videographers, I only needed to watch 1 of his samples to know immediately that he was going to be perfect for us. We got a sneak peek of his work when he made us a short engagement / save-the-date film to send to our invitees. Our family/friends were blown away by this, and some even said "your engagement film was better than some people's wedding films" or "If this is just the engagement one, I can't wait to see what he does for your wedding!"
