The Spa is always immaculate, comfortable and a place I truly enjoy going to for treatments. Recently I had booked a two hour apt. for cool sculpting and my daughter who just had a baby ended up in the hospital so I had to stay to watch the baby and unfortunately had to cancel my apt at the last minute. Niki was understanding and compassionate, she even followed up to check on my daughter days later. I find Niki and Karen to be thoughtful, kind and professional. I hate when my treatments are done, I would love to stay all day being loved and pampered with top notch services.

At one point, I reached out to let them know I was running late, and Nikki, who has always been unpleasant during my visits for service, gave me attitude, so I ultimately didn't show up because I happened to check my email and saw a cancellation notice. I booked a future appointment and arrived on time, but once again she had canceled my appointment without notice, meaning I showed up for a canceled appointment that was sent via email. Nikki asked me to sign a form about being charged if I no-showed or didn't call, which I signed. She also wanted to take my credit card info to ensure I would be charged if I didn't show up or I had to pay in advance for any service. I thought this was unfair since I've been coming here for years and this had never been mentioned before. After that visit, I scheduled another follow-up, and Nikki called me from a private number, presumably thinking I was avoiding her, to tell me I needed to pay in advance. I refused because I told her I would be there. I believe they only treat certain demographics of customers in this manner.

Dr. Flashner has created something really special- there's a reason he keeps expanding (I think Dedham is the 5th location and they keep adding). I had my initial consultation when the first opened over the summer and it was very low pressure. I've since come in for a couple of different treatments and am always blown away by both the commitment to excellence and the customer service. (It's the little extras like seeing if you'd like a water and ALWAYS calling to follow up with you afterwards that go a long way in my book). Timea might be the kindest person I've ever met. She makes me feel incredibly comfortable and taken care of, and she is great about explaining the procedures. I feel like I should have mentioned earlier that in the past I have ventured into the city for any skincare treatments but I am so relieved to have found a place I will keep coming back to so close to home.

We were finally able to work out some great numbers for the perfect package for my needs. She eventually booked me me with Nurse Janessa who provides me with the most personable, comfortable, cleanest, pain free visit each time. I tried a variety of options and purchased packages for sauna and WBC. I was excited for these self-care packages to help me feel better overall. I had some significant joint and muscle discomfort and I was recommended WBC as a complementary therapy. My sessions with Mike were most excellent. They have six levels. After trying level 1 without feeling much effect, I got permission from my doctor to go to level 5 and 6 to improve the results. I would not have chosen this on my own without the ok from professionals. From the start, Brenda called me "crazy" for wanting to go to higher levels and showed intense pushback, both verbally and thru facial expressions, even though it is safe and I had full clearance. I repeatedly told her in person this is okay for me, but she kept pushing back and made my self-care experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Just because she is not brave enough to go to higher levels herself, it is inappropriate and annoying for her to dissuade others from doing so. On a side note, even though I did not have any contraindications, I noticed not all contraindications are listed on their website. For my final session, she refused again, even though I told her so many times in person I have the clearance to do so. Did that not register? I even e-mailed her a copy of the clearance. This became increasingly frustrating and I asked for a partial refund on the session that I chose to not ultimately use. In addition, I had a reiki session with her. While this was mostly uneventful, I picked up a smoky smell from her. I cannot say for sure whether she's a smoker, as I have no idea, but I definitely smelled the smokiness, but didn't feel comfortable asking her directly at the time. I just waited for the session to be over and took a shower when I got home. I did enjoy my sauna sessions at this place, especially the music hook-up in the infrared sauna, although there is no hook-up in the dry sauna. Again, it was a wonderful pleasure to see Mike the many times I did. He is a lovely man, even though Brenda said he made an "error in judgment" in letting me try a higher-level WBC. That is bogus. Mike was incredibly professional and consulted with me with care before every session. I'm glad I tried the higher level with him. Keep up the great work, Mike. I wish you continued success, but I had to be honest in sharing my experience with Brenda when you were away on vacation. You are a kind gentleman.
