Deondre was my wedding DJ and MC that took place June 2023 (last week)! My girlfriend at the time (now wife) attended the Bridal Bazaar a few years ago and Deondre caught her attention because of a nice mix that he did between two songs. Talk about MEANT TO BE! We felt so lucky that he was still available only 6 months until our wedding! HOW WE KNEW HE WAS THE ONE: His website has plenty of impressive samples of him at actual weddings. My husband also found a clip of him coming out on the dance floor getting the crowd pumped! At our first meeting, DeOndre made us a mini-mix ON THE SPOT! All he did was ask for our favorite genres and as he talked with us, he created a mix in FIVE MINUTES (maybe less!) and it was PHENOMENAL! He had ALL the songs we LOVED and he mixed them so smoothly! PRE-WEDDING: Remember how I mentioned he blends songs flawlessly? Well this came in handy for our choreographed dance! We took dance lessons and their studio has a person who cuts & edits music complimentary. Well DeOndre does this as well. But the person who cut the music at the dance studio did such a mediocre job in comparison to DeOndre. When DeOndre CUTS & EDITS music, he doesn't just fade out one song and start another (which is what the dance studio did). He even gave us 2 options to choose from and we didn't give him songs that were easy to blend! Still, the first slow song FLOWED so nicely into the next upbeat song! I only wish I could attach a sample so you could hear it! His website makes it so easy to plan everything! He even has a spot for your guests to make SONG REQUESTS, if you allow them to! A month before our wedding, he called us to make sure he got the PRONUNCIATION of EVERYONE'S NAMES correct! I don't know about you but I've seen one too many weddings where the DJ just butchered the wedding party's names! He also made sure we had songs for ALL the little details that I didn't even think about (I almost forgot we needed a cake-cutting song)! OUR WEDDING DAY RECEPTION: Before our grand entrance, DeOndre checked AGAIN with the wedding party that he was about to PRONOUNCE everyone's name correctly! He truly CARES! Everyone at our reception LOVED HIM! Because of his showmanship, a lot of people said it was probably the MOST FUN WEDDING they had ever been to! And we honestly did not do anything else fancy (ie. we used our venue's banquet chairs)! Our dance floor was NEVER empty! Even the KIDS danced ALL NIGHT! He actually did COME OUT from behind his table and showed us all how to do the CUPID SHUFFLE! He also showed us another dance later that I forgot, but the point is he came out more than once! What kind of DJ actually dares to go outside his box and dance with you!? We were sad our venue required us to leave so early! We would've danced 'til dawn! But it's probably a good thing we ended early because I didn't realize how much my feet hurt until the lights came back on and I realized I had blisters on my feet! It was so worth it though! In addition to the initial call, we had 1 planning phone call to go over all of the details we submitted to the form on his website and he took care of everything from there. He's incredibly professional - he's more than a DJ. He's a performer and really is able to adjust to the style and tone of your event. We also utilized his lighting services. We did uplighting throughout the reception ballroom and pinpoint lighting on our cake. It was all perfect and we highly recommend using him for lighting because he basically sets the entire mood with his lights/sounds. We went through all the details by completing a detailed form to provide him with a lot of information about us, our bridal party, and our preferences. He then took that information and was able to put together an incredible flow for our event, including introductions, announcements, reception traditions (like bouquet toss), etc. He's thorough and will give you examples of different tones he can use for intros, etc. and he'll be as involved in getting your party going as you want. You'll also get a client login to his website where you can make song selections and another login for your guests to make requests ahead of time (we included the link on our wedding website/RSVP page). After performing a demo for us where he was mashing up hip-hop and Latin music, we couldn't stop smiling and hired him on the spot! My wife and I hired DeOndre for our wedding a few weeks ago. Let me just say, he exceeded all expectations from what i thought a wedding DJ could/would do. Check him out!!! By far one of the best DJ's in SD! I'm so glad my husband and I booked him for our wedding. We knew we needed a crowd mover and someone who had a energetic/clear voice to introduce our wedding party as well as direct the crowd. We love Deondre for so many reasons, here are a few on the top of our heads: 1. Response time! He responds quickly via email where I don't have to sit around and wait. As you know with wedding last minute detail quick response is much appreciated. 2. Super Thorough! We met in person and went over all the songs we should pick, when it's played, which portion of the song etc. a couple weeks before the wedding, we video chatted to make sure he has all the details to make the day seamless and in deed it was! 3. At our first meeting, we mentioned what type of music we like with a few specific songs and guess what?! He went over to his table and showed us what he can do! And man my butt was itching to dance then and there lol! 4. Crowd mover! Not only did he get the crowd dancing, he even joined us on the dance floor to lead "the wobble" pretty awesome 5. Great voice! He announced everyone's name clearly with such energy! Ladies and Genta super important for your wedding 6. He's very kind/patient. Lord knows I can't make up my mind ever when it comes down to what I want. So let's just say I reached out to change a few things a few times, last minute and he delivered with no issues.
