Dropped my bike off 7/22/2025. They were pretty loaded, I noticed, and I was asked by the guy if I was in a rush. I said "no I suppose not as long as it'll get done. How long?" Guy said 3 weeks. 3 weeks... okay no worries. I wait and after that amount of time I call to ask about any progress. Lady on the phone tells me "oh sorry our guy is out this week but he'll be back. It's just me and (insert name) here. We're playing catchup right now". Okay no worries shit happens. I call again 4 weeks after I drop off and checkup once more. "Sorry we're still playing catchup. 2 of our guys got sick". Geez that's unfortunate but okay. 5th week rolls around and I'm getting slightly impatient yet still being polite. I call "yes I'm calling about my bike. You guys said 3 weeks and we're walking up on 6 weeks now. What's up?" Lady says "yes we're gonna try to get it in this week. Sorry it's taking so long we know you've been waiting". I respond "no worries. You said this week?". "Yes but we had two guys out.". 6th week rolls up. I decided to go up there personally and see what's up. It was a pretty chill conversation. The guy working goes "we're busy but hey we're finishing up this bike, we can probably get your bike in after this one this week and I'll call you." Great! He even mentioned how my bike was an easy fix... No word from them at all that week. At this point I'm done waiting. I go up there to pick my bike up Saturday, mind you a day they are open, and for whatever reason they're shut down. So I gotta wait til Tuesday, week 7, and I pull my bike out. That experience was off putting due to the fact that they had a whole new bike on the rack meaning he lied about my bike being next.
The whole point of me adding all this is to show that the guy is hardly a man of his word, in my experience, and that their greatest downfall is the lack of clear communication on their part. Their favorite phrases include "we're gonna try...", "we'll probably...", and "we're playing catchup". Just to keep things vague and ambiguous on when exactly they can get to your bike in order to string you along. It's clear they mainly deal with Harleys and cruisers of all variety's which leads me to believe they were purposefully avoiding my bike, which is a sport bike. Had this guy told me the actual time it would've gotten done I would have zero complaints because it would've be on me how long it got kept there. They said 3 weeks. Not me. If y'all don't like working on sport bikes that is 100% okay, JUST SAY THAT. If y'all are too busy to get my bike done in a somewhat timely manner, JUST SAY THAT. Don't give me a random amount of time and not make good on your word. Again this is only my experience. I'm sure many people have good experiences with them and that's okay and I believe it. I would give them 2 stars because a while ago they did change my rear tire in the span of 24 hours and I was able to pickup no issues, but they get 1 because of that one lie about my bike being next, and me walking in to see someone else's bike racked up the day I took my bike back. I hope this is a stand alone occurrence but I would still not recommend DRD machine to anyone personally, especially if they own a sport bike.
