It ended up that we had to postpone our wedding...she was super understanding and told me just to let her know the future date. When we finally had the date set, we contacted her and were pleased to find out that her company could also provide the catering for our reception. We did a taste test of our menu (chicken katsu, bbq spare ribs, pineapple fried rice, macaroni salad, spam musubi) and everything was ONO- my husband is really picky about hawaiian food and he was a fan. My favorites were the chicken katsu and pineapple fried rice. The highlight of our reception was the performances- they provided their own sound equipment, lighting and music. The MC was hilarious- we loved the dancers performances, ukelele playing and how they had some of us come on stage at the end. All of our guests loved it and my parents were really impressed. Thank you Alicia and the Makanalani Luau group for making our wedding reception a night of great food and even better memories :)

I have never been to Fallbrook before, so I wasn't sure what to expect but the town is so cute. There is plenty of street parking so I found parking two blocks away but even at 5 pm, there was still plenty of parking right next to the venue. The theatre itself is really nostalgic, photos of old time actors and a really friend team, they have a bar and concession stand. When the doors opened for the event I was able to find really comfortable seating. The event was really organized and had security which was comforting, but honestly I wasn't really fearful, women who loved to read would be more dangerous to intruders who tried to impose on our happy time. When I went to the concession stand I was greeted by really friendly people, I ordered my sparkling water and got back to my seat. The theatre is nicely air conditioned and really was the perfect venue to host a Book Event with an author signing!

The Rep itself is an intimate theater with hardly a bad seat in the place and has an associated snack area with wine/beer and some drinks available. The seasonal fare for us is usually entertaining and enjoyable, leaning I think to lighter comedy most of the time, with the occasional drama thrown in, I guess to let us really see the actors working! But, light comedy that is usually quite fun. The most recent example is "Scapin" adapted from Moliere, which is a delightful romp with great characters, and fast pacing. Give it a try, and you'll be glad that you did, and support our local theater.....

My son attended JDS' video production program for disabled adults and had a miserable experience…read more He left after six months and enrolled in another similar video production program where he's now much happier. JDS's program, which is funded by the Inland Regional Center, is poorly managed by an executive director I found to be impatient, unpleasant, overly controlling, and easily annoyed. The executive director is also a blatant liar. She lied to me about details of a violent incident by a student that my son witnessed and said that my son was lying about it. However, my son had text messages from another student who also witnessed the incident and basically confirmed what my son told me. I filed a formal complaint about JDS and its executive director with the IRC. JDS had high staff turnover, too. My son told me that seven staff members left while he was there. One staff member who left is now working in the program that my son is currently in along with some former JDS students.

I have been investing in the adult class for a couple of months and it really has paid off. I've come out of my shell professionally and personally thanks to Diane and Scot, the owners of the studio. They are kind, caring, and push you to be your best. I have made some life-long friends there. If you're serious about acting being your career, I can vouch for their "Industry Showcase" where they explain the ins and outs of the industry for children, their parents, and adults as well as giving you the opportunity to perform in front of managers and talent agents. There are more places than I could count that are total ripoffs but if you came across JDS searching for somewhere to really get into acting, well, you were lucky enough to find the best.

Too bad coz we would have liked it for all they offer, but after 1st impression we are hesitant, maybe later... Hopefully Ms. Diane will realize and be more welcoming, encouraging and accommodating especially to new prospective students...

It has such a sweet small town vibe. Buy your tickets early if you really want to see the show because the venue is quite small. The hosts are incredibly friendly and funny. The productions are well done! Prices are reasonable. They sell raffle tickets and give out quirky gifts that are somehow related to the play. They offer free snacks and beverages during intermission. At the end of the show, the cast usually comes out and does a meet and greet.
