It ended up that we had to postpone our wedding...she was super understanding and told me just to let her know the future date. When we finally had the date set, we contacted her and were pleased to find out that her company could also provide the catering for our reception. We did a taste test of our menu (chicken katsu, bbq spare ribs, pineapple fried rice, macaroni salad, spam musubi) and everything was ONO- my husband is really picky about hawaiian food and he was a fan. My favorites were the chicken katsu and pineapple fried rice. The highlight of our reception was the performances- they provided their own sound equipment, lighting and music. The MC was hilarious- we loved the dancers performances, ukelele playing and how they had some of us come on stage at the end. All of our guests loved it and my parents were really impressed. Thank you Alicia and the Makanalani Luau group for making our wedding reception a night of great food and even better memories :)

Plus it's very run down, dirty, snack bar was disgusting, hot dogs looked under cooked and rubberized order a popcorn and a young kid basically spilled half the popcorn on the counter. My son attended JDS' video production program for disabled adults and had a miserable experience…read more He left after six months and enrolled in another similar video production program where he's now much happier. JDS's program, which is funded by the Inland Regional Center, is poorly managed by an executive director I found to be impatient, unpleasant, overly controlling, and easily annoyed. The executive director is also a blatant liar. She lied to me about details of a violent incident by a student that my son witnessed and said that my son was lying about it. However, my son had text messages from another student who also witnessed the incident and basically confirmed what my son told me. I filed a formal complaint about JDS and its executive director with the IRC. JDS had high staff turnover, too. My son told me that seven staff members left while he was there. One staff member who left is now working in the program that my son is currently in along with some former JDS students.
