Tons of booths of various artists and companies, a ton of swag, and an entire area for just food! Parking is a bit of a pain if you show up later in the day, but there is a bus that will take you for the far reaches of the area, which is where we ended up parking. It was a nice day though, so we did enjoy the long walk. One of the things i enjoy about these types of festivals is meeting new people. There usually aren't enough tables for everyone to eat so sharing a table is very common. You almost always meet someone with a great story or life to share, or they might think you're that person with the great story or life to share. So don't be afraid to have someone join you and start up a conversation. It's all part of the fun.

Lots of people brought their own food (some with full on dinners and dessert). You can buy food there also. We had lots of fun. We'll definitely come back and see other shows. If you live in or near Oceanside and haven't been to the First Friday Art Walk yet, you should go!…read moreI try and make it to every one, and it's always a good time. Super laid-back, very Oceanside. You can wander through Artist Alley, check out local art, talk to artists, and just hang without feeling rushed. The drum circle is always a highlight, the energy is really fun. It's easy to make a night of it too since there are so many good restaurants nearby. Grab dinner, walk the art walk, maybe stop somewhere after. It runs May through September from 5 to 8pm, and it's free. Definitely worth checking out.

It's located in a short alley way right behind the street where Handel's is located. You can't miss it. It has lots of fun, interesting, and cool artwork on the building walls. Lots of bright and dark colors. As they say, you can't have light without the dark LOL. They were drawn by different artists. I didn't recognize any of them. I'm not an artist, but I do enjoy looking at artwork. I'm more of a photography gal... hey, that's a form of art, too... at least that's what I've read. I don't recall seeing any lights, but maybe there are... I just don't remember. Nevertheless, do be careful if you plan to walk through this alley at night. Who knows... the walls may glow in the dark LOL. Enjoy your artsy stroll!

I have never been to Fallbrook before, so I wasn't sure what to expect but the town is so cute. The theatre itself is really nostalgic, photos of old time actors and a really friend team, they have a bar and concession stand. When the doors opened for the event I was able to find really comfortable seating. The event was really organized and had security which was comforting, but honestly I wasn't really fearful, women who loved to read would be more dangerous to intruders who tried to impose on our happy time. When I went to the concession stand I was greeted by really friendly people, I ordered my sparkling water and got back to my seat. The theatre is nicely air conditioned and really was the perfect venue to host a Book Event with an author signing!
