After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! Had I swerved or hit the brakes impulsively, my car would have no doubt been totaled and my husband and I would be in the hospital. But we were lucky. When Wade showed up with the tow truck, he wasted no time. He got right under the car, checking out the under carriage. He told us it was hanging and that he would take it off so the car could be driven again. Wade handed my husband the part and told him to put it in our trunk. He checked the other visibly damaged parts (all cosmetic) and told us the car was safe to drive! I was relieved and extremely happy! After I asked him four times, "Are you sure?!" He said, "Yes. I would let my daughter drive it." He was very calming and that was helpful in that situation. I appreciated his timely manner in assisting us (we waited a mere ten minutes). I also appreciated his efficiency, as we were on the side of the road on a major highway. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who would be in need of their services.
