When you walk in you will be asked to take off your shoes, and right now you will have to fill out a covid form and have a temp taken. there is relaxing music playing in the background. Matta was very professional and also friendly. I asked some questions about the process and she did some explaining to me. The ionic foot bath was very relaxing. I did feel some tingling happening during the process. She said it pulled out some stuff with liver, lymphatic and heavy metals. I will probably go back in the future though. Our bodies can always use a little extra support. We ask a lot of them and put them through a lot. I am excited to see if I feel any difference tomorrow. I asked about other services there - she said they do colon cleansing stuff, massage, the ionic foot baths and more. Worth a try! Go and see them :) Right now they are doing online booking of appointments with covid but it was pretty easy to get in.

I didn't mean that as a brag, but to emphasize my belief that Dr. Gatteau is one of the most positive influences on my running career. His adjustments were huge for a temporary issue, but he helped me develop a process to approaching my sport from a recovery & wellness perspective that actually helped all areas of my life. I came in the summer of 2013 before my senior year of High school with issues with pretty substantial pain, inflammation, and tightness. He made some pretty important adjustments for the time. But he also taught me how to stretch properly, and to relax and naturally drop into a stretch. Using your parasympathetic nervous system vs. forcing into a stretch (sympathetic). This was all in 3 appointments, in one week when I was on vacation, with a huge impact on my career. Before meeting him, I was "injury prone", and at the time I was stressed, and worrying if I'd be able to complete my last Cross Country season in one piece. Instead I was All-State in Illinois Cross Country, ran a 4:15 mile in Track, and got a Division I scholarship. As I reflect on some of my happiest experiences as an athlete, I'm thankful that Dr. Gatteau helped me develop the relaxation process that allowed me to perform at peak levels.

I used my initiation discount on my visit last week. Paid for a 90 minute message for under $60 (I'm a good tipper so I added 23 percent). Why not 25% you ask? The massage was only 75 minutes and I felt somewhat cheated. However, the massage rocked! Paul was sensitive, right on target, asked the right questions at the right times, and never over performed. I was given a form to fill out before the massage which gave the therapist all the info he(she) needed. I was asked if I wanted to sign up for a series of treatments, but was never pushed. I would have, but I'm currently unemployed so didn't feel I could commit to a "contract". It's a great deal though. I totally recommend ME if you like massage or massage therapy. I think they do a great job and if you find someone who knows your massage needs, this is definitely the place to go.

I booked a reiki session with Alicia in Fort Collins. Before I even got on the table, she had already downloaded a bunch of information from my guides about what needed attention. I was amazed by this, because I hadn't told her anything about myself or what I was seeking help with prior to the appointment. Everything she picked up on as she laid her hands on me during the appointment was spot on. After the appointment, she sent me an email with some handouts on energetic practices that I could use to help continue improving after the session, as well as a summation of some of the highlights what came out of the session. Immediately afterwards, I felt relaxed. It was a moving experience. It has been a week now, and it's pretty incredible the change that has already occurred in my mindset. I've been using a meditation that she did in the session, and I've gotten so much clarity. I've identified an underlying thought pattern that has been running since childhood and not serving me. It feels like this is a beginning of a major shift for me. I am so thankful that Alicia has been so generous with her time and her gift. Also, she wore a mask, face shield, and had hand sanitizer and cleaned the table. I felt like she was taking the appropriate Covid precautions.
