I have many massages over the years, but have not experienced the type of immediate relief I got from Mary's massage technique. I went back the next day and got a massage from Tomas, a male masseuse. This guy knows his stuff! He's strong and his knowledge and skill are remarkable. As with many Asian massage shops, language can be a little challenging at times, but we worked through it. All-in-all, two great massages from friendly, professional people. I'll return if I make another trip to Ft. Collins.

My massage therapist yesterday did an excellent job of addressing my pain, and still was able to do a full body massage. He moved pretty quickly and didn't do a lot of verbal communication, so some people might feel uncomfortable with that. His movements were quicker than I'm used to, I'm used to being able to coordinate my breath with the movements. But he got a full body massage done, and it's the next day and I am 80% pain-free.

NOW... a new massuese has joined and put Golden Hands at the top of the list. Her name is Amy. I talked to the owner Coco as I have been here a few times for a great massage. Turns out Amy is not only an amazing and skilled massuese, but has also been a teacher in the art of Tui Na! It doesn't get any better than this if this the style of massage you enjoy. She is also cheerful and checks in to see if all is going well. Yes... there is sometimes a language issue as there often are at Asian massage businesses, but Amy is able to use her translation app or you can use your own if you really need to say more than yes, no, great and thanks. By the way... if you go for the harder pressure, keep in mind this takes a lot of physical prowess and energy so tip extra, though any tip should be generous as the price you pay does not go one hundred percent to the therapists. She fixed a back issue that I tend to have after a long week. This past Friday I was hoping for the same. I tried calling ahead, but someone hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking if she was available. I still went because it had been a long week of work, lifting, and distance running. There was a younger lady who gave me a massage and it was probably the worst one I have ever received. She didn't even try and barely even touched me. She spent more time rubbing my head than my actual body. I'm a very clean individual so it was perplexing. I have never had such an experience. She was very friendly to the guy that went before me, but was a bit cold towards me. If I go back, I will only go if Ling is available. My most recent one with the other lady was a complete waste of money and it's not like I don't tip very well for good service. Maybe the last 5 minutes or less was focused on my neck/jaw/shoulders. The pressure during the rest of the massage was good, so not sure what happened with feet. He always did it perfect and everything was always a great experience. Sadly each of the last 2 winters he's left town and is either employed elsewhere or has gone back to China for the season. The price here is decent. There are better options elsewhere, but higher ones as well. Due to the absence of Peter and the consistency issues, I'll probably be going elsewhere for the foot massages. Possibly I'll give them another try late spring in hopes Peter has returned.
