When paying at the counter, there was confusion over change (language barrier didn't help), and the manager/owner? joined in, escalating things. They positioned themselves in a way that felt blocking, and despite yielding somewhat, paying well over the service cost (total around $175+ including the large tip), they still pushed for more with overflowing sarcastic "thank yous" as I left. A strong massage shouldn't come with guilt-tripping or high-pressure tactics over tips. Standard tipping etiquette for massages is 15-20% (higher for exceptional service), and $50 on $105 was already well above that. If the business relies so heavily on outsized tips to make up for low base prices, they should be upfront about expectations.
