That got fixed but now we are just fixing the issues caused BY BISHOP-THEIM I know it's hard to find a good company to work on your septic systems but PLEASE look somewhere else. I wanted to have my septic tank serviced as a preventative maintenance to include pumping. The…read morefirst company charged me $45 dollars and told me they would not touch anything because it was about to backup any day now. As a matter of fact, it was already showing signs of backing up. The cost to repair would be around $4K. The second company had a plan which would cost me around $2-3K which included putting a cleaner in the lines and a warranty. I was told to be sure to call back in 3 years because if anything happens, 70% of the cost would be covered/applied from the initial charge. The third company had a package deal only costing $1,200 including a new lid and other items whether I needed the parts or not, a cleaner and pumping. Now each company was going to replace the lid, pump the tank, and place a cleaner in the lines which would tell me if there were any holes anywhere. As well as, replacing the front and back inlet/outlet (the area where the water drains). Finally, Lee's Septic Life appeared in my google search. When I called, Lee answered the phone. I explained what the other had said. I actually had the third company at my home when Lee said, "You do not need a new lid, I can tell you that right now. Don't let them put any chemicals in your drain or you will have a problem. Yes, I am certain I can beat $1,200". Lee sent out two of his men the following day and they did just as he said. My tank was inspected, and I was given a recommendation of no service required. Including a pumping. I was asked to flush the toilet, and I was shown how the water flowed without any hesitation. There was no visible damage. Just as Lee said, his men would be honest and they were. I decided to pump the tank anyway and the cost was $650. I did not mind the charge because the tank had not been pumped in over 20 years. I have found a new plumber. I already discussed their next service, and I will be scheduling it soon. I had recently purchased a new home and had only lived in it for 30 days before their plumber's negligence caused my basement to flood. I had paid $7,000 for a sewer line replacement, and despite taking my full payment, the plumber failed to complete the job. He had left my home exposed from the outside, allowing water to pour in during a storm three weeks later. This was no accident -- it was pure negligence. When he finally returned after the flooding, he casually admitted that he had been supposed to come back three weeks earlier to lay cement over the area he worked on but failed to do so. That level of carelessness was completely unacceptable. Because of his negligence, I had to endure devastating damage. My finished basement had to be gutted -- all the drywall was ripped out, mold remediation had to take place, my engineered hardwood floors were destroyed, and I had been dealing with contractors in and out of my house. Two and a half months later, the situation was still ongoing. I still had no floors. My drywall was still missing. My home remained a disaster and unusable, and I hadn't been able to enjoy it since the nightmare began. To make matters worse, I had to miss several days of work to manage the non-ending contractors, all while enduring the overwhelming stress of the constant repairs.
