They were great! I had an urgent water heater leak and they were able to come within 15 mins of contacting them, get all the work done, install a new water heater in the next couple of hours -- all of that on a public holiday!! So thankful for the quick and great service! read more

Todd is amazing! Of course I have sewer problems on a weekend- holiday non the less! I called Todd and he was here in 15min. This time the problem was very little and easily solved, but I didn't have to wait hrs without running water to find out. Keeping his card for future plumbing misadventures. Highly recommend. read more

Drain Rooter was very quick to respond to my inquiry. When the service technician, Tu, showed up, he was very professional and honest. He resolved my issue, which was just a matter of a loose washer, quickly and free of charge. I highly recommend them and will do business with them again. I've used a few other pluming services in the area and Drain Rooter was by far the best! I'm glad we have found an honest, responsive, and reasonable plumber. read more

I needed to get my bathroom faucets removed in order to refinish a countertop. I requested a quote on Yelp and within minutes the quote was provided and appointment was scheduled. Excellent service. Will make this my go-to plumber. read more

ok job - but other rooters charge $85-$115. This guy charged $350! Memo to self - get a quote before you bring in a gouger.

Todd has helped me out twice. The first time, I had a block that he solved in no time at all. The second time, I had a much more severe water leak in front of my house. This was a highly complex, and required DRS to open up the sidewalk/water-meter to uncover the root problem. They quickly found the broken pipes, and custom-fit new-and-improved replacement pipes to fix the problem. All of this hard work was done very professionally, and exactly at the budget estimate that Todd had quoted me from the start. I would highly recommend Todd and his DRS service. read more

Wow, Todd was a godsend! It was the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and around 8pm our toilet clogged, and plunging it made the dirty water come out through the bathtubs in our house, only aggravating things. We called around for an emergency plumber but most places were overbooked til morning or wanted to charge a fee before even knowing what the issue was or knowing whether they'd be able to solve it. When I called Todd, his energy was completely different - he was interested in figuring out how he could access the sewage to let us know if he could even help us at all. He seemed very knowledgeable and creative with his problem solving. Since we didn't have two-way sewage access, he came up with a solution of using a hyrdrojett from the roof. He was on the scene within 20 minutes, tackled the problem and fixed what could've been a much larger problem come Thanksgiving day. We were in great hands with Todd and he was very helpful and honest. 100% would recommend. read more

I requested a quote through yelp, Todd responded quickly. I had noticed that there was a leak underneath my house in the crawl space. I figured it was a sewage pipe and that I probably needed to replace the line. I requested a couple quotes on yelp. Todd came over and took a look underneath the house and told me that the entire sewage line needs to get replaced since it's a really old system. I figure this would be the case. Instead of Todd asking if I wanted to get the job done he simply stated that I needed to save up because it would be expensive. I know that Todd! That's why I was calling plumbers, to get the problem fixed. You can't assume someone doesn't have the money and tell them to save up. I know you probably meant no harm by it and you were actually trying to help, but that was a bit offensive. I am getting my sewage lines replaced, but it will be with another company. read more

I called Drain Rooter Service based on a Nextdoor recommendation because I had a kitchen sink clog. Tu answered the phone right away, said he would be right over, I texted my address, he came and used this industrial snake on the pipe and fixed the drain. Very professional, took off his shoes, wore a mask, and got the job done quickly. Great service! read more

Working with Todd was smooth, easy and very reasonable. He took time to explain the problem and what could be done to remedy. Todd is amazing. He was very flexible with his schedule and in fact came early. Not a norm these days. He examine my current toilet and informed me where exactly are the leaks and recommended me to replace the toilet because of its age and also to prevent future issues. He went with me to grab a new toilet at Lowe's and we brought it back to the house and he did the installation. Upon completion he thoroughly tested his work and discovered a defect in the toilet. He then go about uninstalling everything and went with me back to Lowe's to do an exchange. He bared with me at Lowe's giving me the run around and me complaining to them about the situation. After the grunt, we had the defective part replaced, went back to the house to do the reinstall. All in all everything worked out. Todd was very personable and was awesome. I will definitely reach out to Todd for future plumbing needs. read more

I noticed a leak in my garage ceiling and realized it's from the sink in the second floor bathroom. I called a few plumbers and most of them said they will charge me to come and look at issue for giving me a quote. Then luckily I called Todd, he said he would swing by to check what the issue is and give me a quote for free. He was very thorough and clear in what the problem was. Very reasonable with pricing and explains in great detail of what went wrong. I was happy to get him to do the job. He did a excellent job. Gave me some tips around water heater too. I'm glad I found Todd. I now know who to call when I need a plumber. read more

Todd came out and fixed the drain pipes that service my washing machine and kitchen sink. He showed up promptly, wearing PPE (because covid) and took off his shoes before entering my house. He quickly assessed the problem, snaking almost 75 feet of my old pipes and fixed my problem in under an hour. I love using small business owners like Todd, as you can tell they take pride in their business. On top of that Todd warranties his repair for 30 days and will come fix free of charge if the issues pop up again. He also will not charge for a repair if he cannot fix it. Super nice guy and very professional. Thanks! read more

I had a leak in the main water line where it enters the house. While other plumbers offered to change the whole water pipe saying the pipe was gone. Todd showed me that it was just the solder job done badly in the copper pipe and said he would just change that leaky section. It has been a month since the fix and there are no new leaks on in main water line. read more

Todd was super and I will definitely call him again when we need plumbing work done! I had a toilet that wasn't flushing right, despite my plunging and plunging. It turned out that I had somehow dropped a plastic toilet freshener hook (the ones that hook on the side of the toilet bowl to make it smell like fruit or whatever), and there it was stuck in the hole. I pulled it out and he checked a few times to make sure that was it. It was--note to self not to use those toilet fresheners--and he didn't even charge me. Amazing. What a load off my shoulders! Thanks Todd! :) read more

I called Todd last night round 8:20pm, just wondering if he could give me a quote. Beyond my expectations, he said he could come over immediately after he heard about I had a garage sink clog problem. He came within 30 minutes, and fixed the problem in 30 minutes using a 75 ft snake. After his work, not only he cleaned the water on the floor, but also educated me how to prevent to have similar issues next time. I was so impressed how honest he is, and his price is also reasonable. Highly recommend his service! read more

I had Drain Rooter Service installed two toilets for my new home. Their response was quick. They first came onsite and provided a quote. From my experience they are professional and easy to work with. I'll definitely call them again if I ever need plumbing service in the future. read more

Drain Rooter plumbing provides exceptional, prompt services at very reasonable prices. I've called them for 3 separate issues. They responded much quicker than I expected and completed the work early and at a very reasonable price. They are a very hard working family owned business and they take tremendous pride in their work. San Jose is full of older homes with multiple prior owners with all sorts of piecemeal fixes and additions. When something goes wrong, you can watch a YouTube video and go to hardware store...you might fix it or you may likely make it worse. Our toilet was slow to drain and a plunger and simple snake didn't help.....I knew I was in trouble. I reached out to Rooter, they were at our house in 45 mins; At 8 pm at night, they tried to professionally snake the toilet, then crawled into our crawl space to identify our sewer lines, climbed on the roof to video inspect our main valve, identified the likely source of the blockage. The next morning, they dug a large trench in our backyard to expose the sewer line, installed a clean out valve, removed the tree roots blocking the line, and cleaned up the trench. My plumbing works great and my backyard actually looks better than before. They did all this in less than 24 hours. Amazing. Next time, I have a plumbing issue big or small, I'm calling them. Tu, Hong, and Todd are the best. read more

Todd is the Man! I have used his services twice and both visits resulted the same -- PROBLEM SOLVED! His second visit was a simple fix and he immediately squeezed me in within the hour I called. I will not call anyone else to take care of my plumbing needs. read more

Our second floor kitchen drain clogged up late on New Year's Eve. I called Todd the next morning (a holiday), and he was here 30 minutes later and got it taken care of.
