It was a same-day call, so I was already pleased with the quick scheduling and responsiveness. Tony was very friendly and incredibly helpful in diagnosing the cause of the leak and fixing it all within minutes. He also gave me a couple of pointers about the water heater (age, drainage points, etc.) but he made it clear to me that I still have a couple of years left with it and didn't need to replace it just yet. Excellent service! I had a clogged kitchen sink and inquired via email for a technician to come out (this was all late afternoon on a Saturday). Within 10 mins Mr. Waters had reached out and said he could have a technician out first thing in the morning. Mr. George showed up several mins before the ETA (0900). He had a smile on his face, came in assessed the issue, told me what he was going to do, and gave me a price. He had seen some possible future problems under the sink and was explaining them to me, but I didn't feel pressured to commit right then. Which was nice. I finally found a plumber I can trust! After some chronic clogs in my main drain I contacted Drain Masters on Good Friday. Tony came out, despite the holiday, diagnosed the problem, explained everything to me every step of the way. He used his camera to show me exactly where the problem was. He installed a new cleanout for me, dug out out my main drain and replaced it. It was a dirty and big job. He spent quite a bit of his Easter weekend working on it. I was so impressed at his professional attitude. I have never had a plumber keep me so informed and make sure that I understood what was happening. I really appreciated that. A plumber, Mitch, came out to fix a leak under my house. He wasn't able to reach the leak which is understandable but instead of letting me know that he just left and the warranty company called me to tell me he couldn't do the work. Meanwhile the leak is still spraying water under my house. I told him I was inside the house if he needed anything and he chose to just leave while I'm inside thinking work is being done. COMPLETELY, unprofessional and lazy. Zeke, the owner, also refused to send him back to shut the water off when I complained. Stay away from this company! Edit - the owner Zeke just threatened me because of this review. He told me I'd find out who I was messing with and he's going to start breaking my windows. I'm calling the police. read more

Our toilet bubbles everytime we run water from the sink or shower so, like most other people i guess, i started asking around and also researched a little in yelp. i came accross drain masters plumbing company since i think they offered a good deal when i gave them a call. Zeeke (the guy whom i talked to) said he could come over and check on what may be the problem and give me a quote which everything he did for free. No charges for him coming over and checking on what may be the problem. After he had checked on what may be the possible cause of the toilet bubbling and water draining slow, he offered us a fair price for the service so i agreed for him to work on it. overall zeeke did a really good job, friendly, and will definitely refer him to my friends. I called on a Sunday at 9pm because a tenant in one of my properties had a kitchen sink almost overflowing. Zeke was professional and very helpful. He made the process easy and quick. He contacted my tenant directly and offered to get someone to fix the problem within the hour. Watch out, these guys tried to rip me off. I called them to go to a rental property I own. They determined the kitchen faucet was broken and needed to be replaced, which made sense to me. The price they quoted me to replace a kitchen faucet.....$575!!! I had just bought a new kitchen faucet for my own home at Costco for under $100, so I knew this was absurd. When I expressed so, the guy on the phone began negotiating with me. I wound up running over to Costco, getting a faucet for $80, and taking it over, where he installed it for $125. While they did a good job getting it done, they clearly tried to rip me off big time. If I didn't know what it should have cost, they might have succeeded. I would be very hesitant to call them again if I can't trust them! read more

I called in and got my toilet fixed within an hour. A few hours later the toilet had another problem. I called them back and they came right back and fixed the problem for no extra charge. I live in Otay Ranch, Chula Vista and had a kitchen sink clog. First off, The boss at Drain Masters was able to schedule a appointment to come out to my house the next day. Great fast service. Highly Recommended. Appointment was from 9am - 11am and George showed up at 8:55am. George is one of their plumber techs. He did a very fine job. Cleaned up after himself even though he didn't make much mess and had a very positive attitude. He was able to fix the clog and took care of everything. Very professional. read more

My toilet was continuously running and was making minor water noises. Drainmasters replaced the water valve and internal toilet master. I was told that I had a crack in my toilet and that I would need to replace the entire toilet after the running water continued the following day when I called him back to say the problem was not fixed. I was charged $350 which was at "discounted rate" for just doing business originally and I would get a refund for the misdiagnoses and refunded the parts. I was told I would only be charged only another $175 labor to replace a new toilet which I would have to buy. Turns out my toilet only needed a $5 toilet flapper that I figured out later when I made the time to look inside the toilet myself. Expensive lessen learned, if you don't like expert diagnosis and money...call drain masters!!! read more

I oversee a good friend's property next door and the renters had a major issue: The septic tank had actually backed up and was turning up in the shower of the main bathroom. I had made the blunder of calling another plumbing service but after SEVERAL DAYS of them promising they were coming and then being a no show... I surrendered and looked up Sewage Cleaning Services in San Diego, CA on Google and located DrainMasters. They are a local San Diego family-owned biz. Love that! It was 4pm when I talked to Zeke, (the owner) and told him that we'd been coping with a overflowing septic tank for several days now and that we are desperate! He requested my phone # and stated he would consult a driver to see his availability and call me right back. He called right back (yippee!) & claimed he would be here in less than a hr - Actually showed up in 40 minutes. That was fast! The son of the boss arrived & is a personable, professional that went right to work digging and opening it up. He did discover that the sewer tank was overrunning. He emptied the tank and rinsed the lines. Was done in an hour. Then Zeke arrived to assess the situation & offered a quote for changing the drainpipe. They wrote the detailed quote up, leaving no questions unanswered. Gotta love clarity. Everyone I dealt with at this company was definitely terrific! Quick, friendly & professional on the phone and showed up before the appointed time. He worked quickly & effectively & explained the procedure to me as he went along. I had a toilet clogged, they came and diagnosed as a toilet auger issue and snaked it. The toilet is seldom used as it is a three bedroom house. A couple of weeks later, the toilet was flushed and the same problem surfaced. I called the company to let them know I was having the same problem again and believed they didn't address the root cause. The owner got very upset and confrontational and accused me of implying I was accusing them of not knowing their business. All I was trying to tell them that I thought they didn't run the snake long enough to unblock the main issue. He insisted the problem was the low flush toilet and not their work and said he would not do any work on it again. They only guarantee their work for 24 hours. The toilet, by the way is less than two years old. I have this same model in the other three bathrooms and don't have any problems. Extremely poor customer attitude. Do not recommend them!! read more

I was fortunate to have Mitchell come out to my condo to assess, and ultimately replace, a damaged cartridge for my shower valve. His professionalism, expertise, and calm demeanor allowed him to efficiently and effectively fix the issue, despite facing an unexpected and stressful situation. For example, while Mitchell was removing the broken cartridge, the hot water shut-off valve in my condo broke, and in a matter of seconds, he was completely drenched in water that was being discharged at a high-rate of speed. Because of Mitchell's composure and quick-thinking, we were able to shut-off the water to the entire building, which prevented any potential flooding and/or water damage to my condo. Furthermore, while the building's water was being shut-down, Mitchell identified the type of cartridge he needed. Understanding that he needed to replace the cartridge as soon as possible in order to get the water turned back on for the other residents of the building, Mitchell drove to Home Depot and purchased a new cartridge. Once he returned, he not only installed the new cartridge, but also cleaned the tub to remove any dirt that accrued during his repair of the shower valve. Finally, he knew exactly what kind of plumber I needed to fix my hot water shut-off valve, and he relayed this information to my insurance, which allowed my insurance company to immediately schedule a plumber to come fix my broken shut-off valve. Mitchell exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a skilled and professional plumber. This company is absolutely unprofessional/rude. I was referred to them through my warranty company so I gave them a call. When I gave them a call an intake person answered and forwarded my info/problem to the plumber. The plumber gave me a call back and said that he was on vacation and wasn't accepting any calls (which really isn't my problem) so i gave the Drain Masters a call back saying that the plumber they forwarded my info to was on vacation. Then I asked them to forward my info to another plumber because I didn't want to bother anyone outside of work. 5 minutes later I get a call from the same plumber and he's talking to me with a hostile tone as if I was an imbecile "I thought I told you I wasn't taking any calls", I then responded that I tried to avoid them calling him and I assumed that a plumbing company had more than one plumber. He attempted to patronize me so I hung up in order to not escalate the issue. This is partially my warranty company's fault, but that is no excuse for the plumbers to speak to customers that way. I own a business myself and even if I'm dealing with a confused customer/client, I maintain my cool. I'm surprised they have better reviews than I expected in all honesty. read more

Our toilet was draining extremely slow so we contacted our landlord who sent Zeke over with Drain Masters Plumbing Co. He was extremely professional and showed up on time. He did a quick diagnosis and then decided we needed a new toilet. We mentioned that we liked the toilet our neighbor had, he said it would be no problem and he would get us one of those. SWEETTTTT! So excited for a new toity! He came back a few days later and was even an hour early! I was actually happy about that because the sooner he came and "did his business" ha the sooner I could start my day.
