I did not want to call back Joe at BS because of his attitude and huge mark up. Tony charged me $1,095 for a 50 gallon and Joe charged me $1,665. Enough about Joe.... Tony and Abe were professional, personable and they even went out of their way to leave the job and get a new pan from Home Depot because he thought the old pan was not adequate. 2 thumbs up and they're coming again next week to look at some other plumbing problems. Had a great experience with Tony when my tub drain got clogged. I had tried so much Drano and every other thing the Internet told me to do until I finally gave in and googled local plumbers. Tony came within 45 min and cleared it within 5 minutes -- no hassle, very professional, and friendly! My garbage disposal broke suddenly and needed someone to fix it asap. My usual plumber was on vacation so I contacted these guys. The owner responded within 10-15 min to set up a time to have the disposal fixed. The plumbers came promptly at the arranged time. They not only fixed my disposal but other issues they noticed I had in my pipes under the sink. They were very polite, professional and explained the issues well and answered all my questions. Having had plumbing work done in the past by other companies, I thought their rates were reasonable. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for quality service! read more

Drain Flow/Anthony knows drains sooooooo much better than even your best plumber. I called him freaking out about a clogged tub drain. He happened to be passing through my neighborhood and came straight over. Removed some super gross stuff from my pipes, and came back another day when he was less busy to fix my broken tub stopper. My experience with Anthony was an excellent one. My house randomly had no heat one day, which my wife and I didn't discover until we got home from work, so I checked Yelp, sorted by best reviews, and gave Drain Flow a call given all its fantastic reviews. Now I see why they're so good. I left Anthony a voicemail explaining my situation, and his message said that callers can text as well, so I sent a follow-up text. This was about 7pm. Not long after, I got a text back letting me know that he couldn't come first thing in the morning but he could come later in the day, if that's ok with me, and I said sure and to keep me posted. Next day, Anthony got to my house as soon as he was able. He went into the basement to check on the boiler, and discovered that the only problem was that my boiler was low on water. I sure felt like an idiot (although since the Quincy-based plumber who installed it never said a word about maintenance, I don't know how I was expected to know how to fix that...) although Anthony fixed it and showed me how, which took all of about 4 minutes. He said he wasn't going to charge for that, and I said no way - he changed his schedule and came out to Braintree and I was definitely going to pay him. Rather than pick some random dollar amount, I told him that we had a few other things he could look at, if he wanted - a running toilet and a broken garbage disposal. He promptly fixed both, and we had some friendly conversation in the meantime. He again showed us how to fix the disposal in the future, and he even left a tool to do it with. He did this all at an excessively reasonable price, which prompted a good tip - and he earned every penny. My wife and I are relieved to have found a reliable, flexible, and reasonably-priced plumber. We will definitely be using Anthony whenever possible, and recommending him as highly as possible. read more

Very happy with Drain Flow's service. We sprung a leak in our water heater on a Saturday and Anthony and Duane came out almost as soon as we called and had the new heater picked up and installed within two hours. I had a tough problem with my shower drain, that Drain Flow successfully fixed. They had to run a snake through the line trap in the closet, which I was not able to open. They got it open pretty quickly and efficiently and fixed the problem, stating that it was the toughest drain trap that they had seen. They left the place clean. They were on time, and communicated great. My only downside to their service was their expense, which was $239, I think because they had to get a special wrench from the truck. Still it seems like a lot for a call that I seem to remember took about an hour. Again, happy with everything but the cost. I'll use them again for the stuff I can't fix. read more

Once again, other Yelpers did not lead us astray. Anthony is fantastic! We called him up in an emergency (NGrid turned off all the gas to our building at 6pm on a Sunday when it was supposed to be in the teens at night...) Unfortunately, he couldn't come out but gave us a great recommendation for another plumber and then confirmed later that the second plumber came out. That's service! Since we needed a particular part, Anthony ended up coming the next day with the parts to fix our system. His quote was more than reasonable and he did a great job! There were a couple hiccups along the way (outside of his control) but he stayed to finish the job on budget. All in all, I'd say I cannot wait until I can call Anthony again, but I'd prefer everything continue to work instead... read more

These guys are professional, honest and responsible. The hourly rate is not the lowest in the area but you will actually end up saving money because of their honesty and experiences. I did a lot of research before I hired them. I've interviewed 3 different plumbing companies and gotten a quote as high as $800. Drain Flow Plumbing got it done for about 1/7 of the price. There are a lot of scams out there so It's good to know a plumber that you can trust. read more

these guys were outstanding- i think i've only written 2 yelp reviews in 10 years, but i had such a nice experience with this company, that it encouraged me to get online and share. I woke up to discover my sink, dishwasher, and shower were all leaking. i called at 830am, and Tony arrived by 9am to fix things. i live in a super old building with crappy pipes and (apparently) a crappy garbage disposal, but the issue was remedied within a half hour. in addition to fixing it, he also recommended an upgrade to the garbage disposal whenever i go to replace it. after the sink, he went in to tackle the bathtub which proved to be quite a challenge. he tried a number of different things, and it ultimately brought in another colleague and another machine and they were able to solve the issue. the entire time they were here they were wonderfully friendly, helpful, and just genuinely good people. and not that money should drive decisions, but i was pretty amped about their flat rate of $150! (really affordable by comparison to the other boston plumbers who will quote a $75 or $95 "assessment fee" and only afterwards tell you how much it will actually cost to fix whatever is broken). read more

Anthony was able to get us in - even for a small thing like a clogged shower drain - right away and we were thrilled! He was super responsive with text messages keeping us updated as to when he could come. He was prompt and honest about what was going on with the drain as well as the dripping shower head. I had a very good experience with Tony and Ralph. I heard about Drain Flow through Yelp and a Roslindale-based Facebook group so after trying a few plumbers over the years, I decided to give them a call. I am very glad I did. I thought I had a relatively simple problem with my boiler (mainly one corroded pipe), but after Tony and Ralph worked on it a bit, they were able to diagnose the actual issue (which other plumbers missed). They didn't mind me watching what they were doing and pointed out each issue, including showing me how loose so many parts of the boiler were (some of the black pipe segments were only hand tightened), and how much corrosion had built up inside the pipes and fittings. They addressed all of my concerns and while this was a large job, I felt like I got a very fair price considering how long they were here and how much I've paid plumbers for much smaller jobs in the past. read more

Nightmare situation of sewage flooding my apartment due to no fault of my own and Tony comes to the rescue. Between the hours of 10:00 pm- 12:00 am on a Saturday night, my on-site manager was not responding multiple calls and knocks on his door. Tony was in bed when we called and he drove 30-45 minutes to help. When he got here, he was efficient, honest, professional, and reassuring. He basically did the job that my on-site manager was supposed to do (cleanup & inspection), except he did a better job than the on-site person would've. AND, he didn't hesitate when it was late on a weekend night. It was probably 3:30 in the morning by the time Tony left. By the time he left, I had a clear understanding of what the problem was, a written statement of the problem, and whose fault it really was (not mine). That way, when my landlord tried to blame it on me, I just showed her that handy little receipt with Tony's written account. I would highly recommend him to anyone. 5 stars, period. read more

My kitchen drain has been blocked for a while, and a few people came tried many different ways to unblocked the drain failed. I highly recommend Tony & Drain Flow! He does great work, and stand by it! He fixed a broken pipe, and replaced a toilet for me in May. Last night I found that the toilet had come loose and leaked water when it was flushed (likely because I have an old house with really uneven floors). I was freaking out because I have guests visiting this weekend, but when I texted him late last night, he replied immediately, and was here first thing in the morning (7 am!). Drain Flow was excellent! They were courteous, professional and competent. We had a clogged drain in our kitchen one evening, with water overflowing in our dishwasher and we couldn't get anyone to come out that evening. We called Drain Flow because of the positive reviews on "Yelp". Anthony answered immediately and he said he could send someone out to our house within 45min. Sure enough Duane arrived within 45min and worked on our clogged drain for ~2hrs. It was nearing midnight so he said he would return the next morning with Anthony at 8am. They arrived on time and together were able to unclog the drain without "cutting" any pipes. We can say from experience is that these guys were excellent. They were professional and polite. I called Drain flow Sunday( the day before Sandy storm)because of the good reviews on yelp. Another plumber left a messy kitchen to me, I called him for the slowly water but he gave me totally still water, so I fired him without any payment. Anthony came to my house only half hour after my call, thanks god! He did great job,used his most powerful tools, cut the rusty valve of main drain, snaked it around 60 feet, finally got it done. We lived my home three days out of electricity after storm but I can't imagine if I can live for a couple of hours without drain. I am happy with the price, not emergency cost for Sunday, no matter the storm coming. read more
