I've worked with a few home renovation and maintenance companies in Minneapolis in my short time as a home owner. Most times it's hard to know who to trust. My experience with Drain Busters has always been the opposite. The prices very fair. The work always good. For anyone looking for plumbing services go with drain busters. read more

This horse sh*t company sent a kid out to remove our toilet to scope the sewer line because the people buying our house wanted it checked out during the inspection. When the kid was done he mentioned to me "I broke one of the bolts off so you will have to replace it yourself." I said you're supposed to do that and he told me: "Nope. We don't carry any bolts." I ran down stairs to the bathroom to see what kind of mess he left me and there to my amazement is the toilet sitting on the tile, the tank lid on the sink, bathroom rugs piled in a corner and the opening where the toilet sits wide open with the old wax ring still around the opening!! He also washed his filthy hands in our sink and didn't bother to clean it up! I ran upstairs, but he was already gone. Now, I didn't request this service to be done, the buyer of our house did but they expected ME to buy new bolts, wax ring and reseat it myself!!! I WAS LIVID!! This is THE WORST OUTFIT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!! They tore apart our bathroom and then left it that way for me to fix and clean up! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHADY PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY! They expected a 69 year old man to clean up and reseat the damn toilet himself, after THEY took it off!! If I could leave pictures of the freaking mess, I would. I still cannot believe that they did this and then just walked away! Oh and by the way, they wanted me to sign a WAIVER because they re NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THEY MIGHT INFLICT! I just sit here in amazement that a company like this exists!! UPDATE: I JUST TALKED TO JOE, THE OWNER OF DRAIN BUSTERS AND HE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE UNDERSTANDING!! HE SYMPATHIZED WITH WHAT WE WENT THROUGH AND SAID HE WILL RETRAIN WHOEVER WAS OUT HERE. I WOULD USE DRAIN BUSTERS AGAIN, JUST BECAUSE HE LISTENED TO ME AND DID NOT MAKE ANY EXCUSES. SO WHATEVER I WROTE ON TOP, WAS OUT OF SHEAR FRUSTRATION AFTER WHAT I WENT THROUGH. JOE, YOU ARE A VERY CLASSY GUY! read more

Entered homeowners property in Twin cities while subcontracted to a home inspector and conducted inspections beyond visible openings, use long pipe camera inspections into sewer lines. Per home inspector certification guidelines of ethical and common practice, this would be considered invasive methods. This is the hat you are wearing while subcontracted, to not do invasive inspections. Invasive is entering with instruments into the more internal body of the home beyond visible access ports like opening a fuse box or a cap to a drain. If Drain Buster we're hired directly by a person outside of the inspectors home inspection this would be completely normal practice and worthy of praise of work. But that is not what they are doing. They used used the home inspectors connection to the home owners/buyers to promote their business and it's services in the course of acting as agents of a home inspection, and as actors of the inspector, going outside of his ethical practices he agreed to under his certification. A reason your business practice are not respectable IMHO. Know the hat your wearing and how it effects home inspections to customers of the home inspection services. Don't suggest your Drain Buster services and insert your logo's and links while working as a home inspector contractor. read more

Joe, the owner of the company is very personable, professional, and really knows his stuff. He was able to remove a tough clog in my kitchen drain line after another plumber was unable to do so. The price was very reasonable. My wife and I were very happy and we highly recommend Drain Busters. read more

Backed up kitchen sink. Showed up on time and resolved the issue in less than 45 minutes for exactly the cost estimated over the phone. Highly recommend calling this family owned business. read more

Super service, super knowledge! Had a blocked sewer line, on a Sunday of course. The owner himself came out. He diagnosed the problem, had the knowledge to look for a second cleanout closer to the street, identified the out-of-the ordinary cause, and left us a well narrated video of the problem to bring to the city. Second generation owner. Nothing but great things to say about Drainbusters. read more

GREAT! I had Jeff over for a clogged laundry tub and he was awesome. On time, best price out there and got the job done with no mess. 2 machines and about 90 minutes later he cleared a bitch of a grease clog. Not only did he do what was asked but educated me on how the floor drain and pipe configuration in my basement worked. He let me know what might be causing my issues and what the worst case scenarios would be if he couldn't clear it, I totally appreciated the honest and upfront approach. These guys are great to work with, honest, fair and friendly. I know who I'll be calling for now on when I need some drain work! read more

I'm a relatively new home owner and when I had a clogged and backed up drain, I was worried about being taken advantage of. I called several businesses for estimates, but nobody would even give me a ball park ($100? $1,000? Nobody could say!). Drain Busters gave me a cost estimate over the phone (which was very reasonable and turned out to be 100% accurate) and scheduled me for an appointment quickly. The technician, Jeff, was friendly and helpful. He fixed the problem, gave me tips on how to avoid future issues and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend Drain Busters. read more

Had a slow main line in December that Drain Busters cleaned out immediately (I called Friday, Joe was here Monday). Then, as luck would have it, my line from the laundry room to the main slowed to a stop the next day. Sinclair was here and the job was done within 18 hours of my call. read more

Joe from Drain Busters was great! I called about a clogged sewer line that was causing backups in our basement and got an appointment the next day. Joe was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explained things as he went, and took his time to do it right. We watched the inspection camera together and he pointed things out as he fed it into the drain, plus sent me a copy of the narrated video when he was done. The whole job, including inspection camera and cleanout of a few drain lines, took a few hours and the cost ended up being what I was quoted over the phone when I made the appointment. It was likely less than I would have paid for a Roto-Rooter visit plus I prefer supporting a local company as well. I recommend them. read more

We will definitely be using them again in the future and will recommend him to all our friends and neighbors. read more

These guys are the most honest, most informative, most generous guys anywhere in the Twin Cities or beyond. They will tell you what they did, how they did it, what else you need to know, and even more. They will work harder than it seems reasonable to make sure you are taken care of. I would trust them with my house, my dogs, and pretty much anything else ever. read more

I have used Drain Busters for over 10 years for various drain issues. This is a family-owned business, and has been since the beginning. Joe has been great each time - he has had to deal with the worst of plumbing issues (a decomposed bird caught in a drainpipe that led outdoors, with no neat way to extract it, i.e., a very smelly and disgusting mess) My main drain is over 100' long and was once clogged on the far end. At the time, he didn't have the equipment to go beyond 100', and recommended that I work with a company that did, but I asked him to do it anyway, and it worked. I now have this service (main drain clearing) covered on Service Plus, but they don't do preventive work - the drain needs to be blocked up, which can mean a wet and/or smelly basement. I have several large trees with roots near the main drain, which regularly cause problems - Joe has been very helpful in preventing such problems. He has been gracious, respectful, honest and extremely helpful each time. He cleans up thoroughly, and is willing to go the extra mile. In addition, he charges about half of the price of Roto-Rooter. I once called someone recommended on another service site, who was messy, rude and incompetent. In contrast, I have never had anything but positive experiences with Drain Busters. read more
