Entered homeowners property in Twin cities while subcontracted to a home inspector and conducted inspections beyond visible openings, use long pipe camera inspections into sewer lines. Per home inspector certification guidelines of ethical and common practice, this would be considered invasive methods. This is the hat you are wearing while subcontracted, to not do invasive inspections. Invasive is entering with instruments into the more internal body of the home beyond visible access ports like opening a fuse box or a cap to a drain. If Drain Buster we're hired directly by a person outside of the inspectors home inspection this would be completely normal practice and worthy of praise of work. But that is not what they are doing. They used used the home inspectors connection to the home owners/buyers to promote their business and it's services in the course of acting as agents of a home inspection, and as actors of the inspector, going outside of his ethical practices he agreed to under his certification. A reason your business practice are not respectable IMHO. Know the hat your wearing and how it effects home inspections to customers of the home inspection services. Don't suggest your Drain Buster services and insert your logo's and links while working as a home inspector contractor. read more

On time, best price out there and got the job done with no mess. 2 machines and about 90 minutes later he cleared a bitch of a grease clog. Not only did he do what was asked but educated me on how the floor drain and pipe configuration in my basement worked. Joe from Drain Busters was great! I called about a clogged sewer line that was causing backups in our basement and got an appointment the next day. Joe was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explained things as he went, and took his time to do it right. We watched the inspection camera together and he pointed things out as he fed it into the drain, plus sent me a copy of the narrated video when he was done. The whole job, including inspection camera and cleanout of a few drain lines, took a few hours and the cost ended up being what I was quoted over the phone when I made the appointment. I have used Drain Busters for over 10 years for various drain issues. This is a family-owned business, and has been since the beginning. Joe has been great each time - he has had to deal with the worst of plumbing issues (a decomposed bird caught in a drainpipe that led outdoors, with no neat way to extract it, i.e., a very smelly and disgusting mess) My main drain is over 100' long and was once clogged on the far end. At the time, he didn't have the equipment to go beyond 100', and recommended that I work with a company that did, but I asked him to do it anyway, and it worked. I now have this service (main drain clearing) covered on Service Plus, but they don't do preventive work - the drain needs to be blocked up, which can mean a wet and/or smelly basement. I have several large trees with roots near the main drain, which regularly cause problems - Joe has been very helpful in preventing such problems. He has been gracious, respectful, honest and extremely helpful each time. He cleans up thoroughly, and is willing to go the extra mile. In addition, he charges about half of the price of Roto-Rooter. I once called someone recommended on another service site, who was messy, rude and incompetent. In contrast, I have never had anything but positive experiences with Drain Busters. read more
