Sean is a fantastic artist that works hard to not only make sure clients are pleased with their artwork but both Sean and Carrie will go out of their way to make sure their clients are as comfortable as possible, for example, The first time I met Sean and Carrie I decided to get a tattoo from Sean. I know I get extremely cold when I get a tattoo no matter the weather it could be 100 degrees and I would still get cold I always tell any tattoo artist this the first time I got a tattoo from Sean was a bit spur of the moment on a hot summer day so of coarse I did not have a hoodie or a sweatshirt with me Sean said to let him know when I started getting cold and when u did Sean not only shut off the fan but went and asked Carrie his wife, piercing artist, and coowner of Dragonsbane tattoo if she had a hoodie I could wear. Carrie was kind enough to lend me her hoodie to make me comfortable and Sean spent a good 6 hours tattoing me without a fan on a hot summer day. Sean and Carrie are wonderful artists that go out if their way to make sure clients are taken care of and are happy with their artwork. Sean and Carrie thoroughly explain after care and make it known that if problem ever arises to call them ad they can't do anything if you don't call them. I've used Sean for 99% of all of my tattoos. I have a total of 17 and he has done 16. The quality of work is great! His patience is outstanding. I was very scared for ALL of my tattoos and he took his time with me. He joked with me and made me very comfortable and I continued to go to Dragon Bane for the others. The photo shown is of 1 of my favorite that I could take a picture of on my own. His work is so good that I took my daughter in to get her 1st tattoo and she loves it. Then I took in 7 of my fiancés brothers and sisters, nephews and my cousins in for a tattoo party and Sean booked us all and nobody else for that night - we were there late and he was tired but it didn't at all reduce the quality of his work. I still have a back tattoo that he started 2 years ago that I have not built up the courage to go back to have complete but since then have went back to have others done. I love tattoos and I love Sean's work. His pricing his reasonable simply because he works with you - ESPECIALLY if you're a repeat customer. I got my first tattoo here last year, but with moving was too lazy to post a review. I'd been wanting a tattoo for years, but I was admittedly a little nervous about getting it because I wasn't sure if I would like what I got. I found Dragonsbane, and saw the great work Sean's done, and bit the bullet. When I saw that there wasn't anything exactly matching what I was looking for, I told Sean what it was I wanted. When I came back a few days later, I was ecstatic; for a person like me who gives horrible descriptions, he still managed to pull out something awesome. The shop was very clean and professional; Sean and Carrie are both very relaxed, and you can tell they're in this business because it's what they love doing. It took me a year (my choice, because of school and whatnot) to complete my tattoo, and I can say for a fact that Sean took the same amount of care and detail from the first session to the last. I now live in Texas, and wear backless shirts most times. More often than not, I get someone stopping me and asking where I got it done, and telling me how great it looks. The biggest complaint I get about it, is that the guy that did it is 1200 miles away. If I ever want another tat, though, you can bet I'll be making that trip. read more

Sean worked on a back piece for me which took a little over 25 hours. The sessions were spread from November to April of the next year. This was my first tattoo and Sean answered every question I had about the process along the way, easing any anxiety I had - which is very reasonable considering the cost and permanent nature of the process. The pricing is great compared to other artists in the region and Sean worked with me throughout to work around my busy schedule as a graduate student. His facility is clean, in the process of being renovated, and he uses top quality tools to perform his job. Sean also worked with me to help develop the idea for my tattoo. I had some rough images and ideas of what I wanted and Sean took the time to flush out these ideas in a way that made sense to me, always making rough sketches to ensure there was no miscommunication between us. Even after the initial consultation, each time I had a session we would review the overall concept and also improvise along the way as the piece developed. Sean & Carrie are Great People to Deal with. I brought in pictures of a few things I was thinking about, set down with Sean and went over them. Sean had done a cover up for me when he worked in Chicago many years ago and he did a Professional job then and I had no doubt he was the one to do this one. I had come in about 4-5 o'clock on a friday afternoon, after deciding on the piece he knew it was going to take awhile so I left and came back at 7. Sean had never done a tat like I had decided on but was really excited to do it. he started around 7:30pm and finished my tattoo around 8:00 am!! Sean is a True Professional!! I would and Will Never go anywhere else for a Tattoo!! As for Carrie, My daughter wanted a lip piercing, I was more nervous than my daughter but after talking with Carrie and seeing how Careful and Clean everything was she did my daughters piercing. She also answered all my questions on after care and what to watch for, Both these people are not only Great People but True Artists. After getting my first tattoo at the age of 19 I was hooked. I knew I wanted many more. I spent years trying to find the perfect person to trust with all the work I wanted done. I am happy to say that I found that in Sean. I had been to two shops prior to finding him. The first session I ever had with Sean was for a memorial tattoo. It was an addition to something I already had. Sean took the time to ask questions about the current piece. After explaining it to him, he asked if I minded if he did a little more work to it. I was so happy with the outcome of the piece in whole. I knew his great work with color would make the next piece I got from him look amazing. He didn't disappoint. Sean & Carrie are extremely professional and always take care to do things right the first time. Great place artist. Sean does amazing work and Carrie is great with piercings. Sean did a piece for me in early September and it was an excellent experience! This was my fifth tattoo overall but first done in the Lafayette area (I am a grad student). Sean and Carrie were very friendly and welcoming when my girlfriend and I first came to the shop, which is clean and professional. During our consultations, Sean was easy to work with in terms of taking our ideas and improvising them into what we really wanted as tattoos. I've received only a few professional tattoos and I must insist that Sean was the only one to give me a piece worth appreciating. He made me feel comfortable in his shop. Sean and Carrie both treat you as if you are a guest in their home. Both respectful and entertaining to talk to. My experience with dragonsbane tattoo was amazing. Sean has done tattoo work for me and my family since I have moved to lafayette. Carrie has done multiple piercings for me as well as for my daughter , and I trust both of them. My fiancé is diabetic and Sean set aside several appointments to make sure there were no issues with his tattoo and even checked on him to make sure he was healing properly. I came here with my mom. Im from out of town and we wanted to get matching tattoos and this place did the best job! Our artist was very professional and he did a perfect job on our tattoos. he kept asking us if we were okay through the process and let us know what he was doing in the way of "I'm just doing a bit of shading then you're done".
