Coming from California and living in a city with the majority of restaurants being Asian I know my Chinese food. This restaurant offers an awesome buffet with a great selection at a reasonable price. I didn't want to over eat so I ordered a la cart. I picked out my favorite Kung Pao Chicken, egg roll, and fried rice. The food was average tasting nothing special but still good for the price. Folks, this is a Chinese buffet in Sheridan Wyoming. Now, keeping that context in mind, this place deserves a 4 star review. The place was clean-ish, the staff was friendly, the food was fresh (as in put out and rotated), and the options were many. For a buffet on a Sunday afternoon, we thought the price was too low. I think we paid $40 for 4 adults and two kids. This was very inexpensive. The place had all the norms of a Chinese buffet. No sushi, but they had a legit ice cream station. It wasn't soft serve, but real ice cream. I wouldn't frequent this place for a nice night out, but to feed the family for under $50 and they ate as much as they wanted? I'll take it. Great place if you are okay with buffets, want a large selection of Asian and a few American dishes, and want a reasonable price. It's all you can eat for $15.95. Beverage and dessert choices are included. Flavor and quality are average. I've had worse and I've had better. It's fast: walk in and pay, they give you eating utensils, find a table and then head to the three different two sided buffet lines. If you are a senior the price is a $1 less but you have to ask for it as it wasn't volunteered. read more

I ordered Shrimp & Broccoli and pork fried rice thru DoorDash. The order arrived promptly. The shrimp was over cooked and tasted funny. I was going to leave a bad review but figured I was travelling and was in a hurry. Later that night I had food poisoning. I spent the night in the bathroom. When they opened the next morning at 11am I called them to complain. The woman on the phone told me I had to call DoorDash as I paid through them. So I have noticed the most unusual thing since coming to Sheridan... The Yelp Culture hasn't quite struck yet. I use Yelp a lot to decide where to go, both when I am unfamiliar with a neighborhood.. and when I am feeling indecisive. My 9 day trip here (1/2 over) has been unique in that Yelp has NOT been my guide, many spots are lacking reviews, have less than 10 reviews, and for the most part are being reviewed by passers by... like me. So for my stay, I am going to review the places that I hit... Yelp is helpful, for visitors and locals alike. So as a visitor, I am going to do my part. We were here on a Sunday evening. Instead of greeting us, the cashier simply said "That will be $29.97." So I went through the line and found 3 different things to try. I mostly scooped up the Cashew Chicken, some Beef w/broccoli, and something else I don't remember what it was but it had chicken and it was spicy. The Cashew Chicken had mostly celery & carrots with a little onion and chicken. I found one piece (half) cashew amidst all the veggies. Oh, and I almost forgot, when I picked up a plate, the bottom of it was covered in greasy grime. I left the plate right there and had to go wash my hands. My husband and i go for lunch right when they open. The food is hot, tasty, and a good price for what you get. We're always greeted with a smile. I appreciate how the food bar is quickly wiped down if someone makes a little mess while serving themselves. Our empty plates are usually promptly picked up while we are up to the food bar for a second helping which we always have! They seem to do a brisk business at lunch time for sure! This place doesn't change... only if for the worse. They have served the same items in their buffet for countless years. The dishes will only be replaced with fresh ones once they've been emptied by customers. Otherwise, who knows how long they sit there! Pretty boring buffet items, judging from all across the board. I have never been impressed by any Chinese buffets I have been to except perhaps for the ones serving frog legs and squid and various other interesting seafood items. This place can be limited, though they do offer mussels, shrimp and crab legs for dinner.. Meh. I'm not sure what draws people to return for the mediocre food... perhaps the price? I have paid triple the price before for a Chinese buffet but I also ended up with 5 times the variety. Today I visited for the first time in over a year. I'm sorry, BUT. A child can prepare those three buffet tables. All of the dishes use the same ingredients. Moogoo tastes like general Tao chicken. And chicken teriyaki taste like four seasons. Typical buffet. Nothing special. Food was good, not much taste difference between the heavily prominent chicken dishes. Spicy chicken with shrimp was my favorite dish and kids loved the bubble gum ice cream. Atmosphere was good, not a whole lot of interaction with any worker. read more

It was getting late and after a long drive...it was getting dark and we were hungry... we cruised through town looking for Chinese...saw a couple...not too inviting. I knew if I looked for Wal-mart and a strip mall...we would probably find one...we did! and a nice one at that...no worry about tipping a person to just bring you a drink...at this buffet you got everything yourself. great food. The egg drop soup and cashew chicken was very good. The honey chicken had potential but it seemed a little dried out... would have been better if it hadn't sat so long. Very good food, I sometimes pick through their menu if I don't want buffet, there's more items there. Reasonable priced. The staff are pretty good about picking up after u.
